a= población inicial
b= factor de crecimiento
r= ratio de crecimiento
t= tiempo
y= población total después del tiempo t
y = a (b)^t
b=1+r
Ej 1.-
Suponemos una población de bacterias de 10 individuos, que se dividen cada hora.
Supongamos que ninguna bacteria se muere: ¿cuántas bacterias habrá después de 7 horas?
a = 10 bacterias
b = 2 (se multiplican por 2 cada hora)
r = 100% (el ratio de crecimiento es del 100% cada hora)
t = 7 horas
y=?
y = a (b)^t
y = 10 (2)^7 = 1280 bacterias
Ej 2.-
Dado el caso anterior, ¿cuándo habrá 1.000.000 bacterias?
y = a (b)^t
t=?
1.000.000 = 10 (2) ^t
100.000 = 2^t
ln (100.000) = ln (2^t)
11.5129 = t (ln 2) = t* 0.6931
t = 16.61 h
Example1.-
y = a (b)^t
y = 10 (2)^7 = 1280 bacteria
Example 2.-
PROBLEMAS DE DENSIDAD
Ejercicio 1.-
¿Cuál es la densidad de un árbol cuyo peso es de 1200 kg y su volumen es de 900 m³?
En este ejercicio solamente se pide calcular la densidad del árbol, es decir:
ρ= 1200kg / 900 m³ = 4/3 kg/m³.
Por lo tanto, la densidad del árbol es de 4/3 kilogramos por metro cúbico.
Ejercicio 2.-
What is the density of a tree whose weight is 1200 kg and its volume is 900 m³? In this
exercise you are only asked to calculate the density of the tree, that is:
ρ = 1200kg / 900 m³ = 4/3 kg / m³.
Therefore, the density of the tree is 4/3 kilograms per cubic meter.
Example 2.-
In a construction you need to install an oil tank whose weight is 400 kg and its volume
is 1600 m³. The machine that is going to move the tank can only transport objects
whose density is less than 1/3 kg / m³. Will the machine be able to transport the oil
tank? When applying the definition of density it is necessary that the density of the oil
tank is:
ρ = 400kg / 1600 m³ = 400/1600 kg / m³ = 1/4 kg / m³.
Since 1/4 <1/3, it is concluded that the machine will be able to transport the oil tank.
