BASIC Church Volunteers Meeting

April 8, 2018 – After the Sunday Service

SAVED TO SHARE AND TO SERVE

God saved us because God wants to use us to build
His Kingdom, and we can achieve that by sharing
our gifts and talents to others and by serving God
and our community as a BASIC Church volunteer.
One of our value as a church is that “we are better
together”. Below are some reminders to encourage
us as we serve together as a family.
GOD INVITES YOU he who leads, with diligence;
"Come, follow Me," Jesus said, "and I will make
you fishers of men."

Truth: God trains those who come and follow
Him.
Application: Make time to grow spiritually -
Attend discipleship trainings offered by your local
church to prepare you for your upcoming ministry.
GOD EMPOWERS YOU
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit
has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in
Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends
of the earth."
Acts 1:8 HCSB
GOD EQUIPS YOU
Since we have gifts that differ according to the
grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them
accordingly:
if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith;
if service, in his serving; or
he who teaches, in his teaching; or
he who exhorts, in his exhortation;
he who gives, with liberality;
he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:6-8 NASB
Truth: You have a gift from God that enables you
to serve Him and other people.
Application: Use your gifts – like your muscles if
not used it becomes smaller and weak, same with
your gifts we were reminded to exercise them
accordingly. That will make you effective Christ-
followers.
GOD ASSURES YOU
“I assure you: The one who believes in Me will also
do the works that I do. And he will do even greater
works than these, because I am going to the Father.
John 14:12 HCSB

Truth: God will empower you to share the gospel
wherever you go.
Application: Have the confidence to share the
gospel – witnessing is simply sharing your personal
victories to others who haven’t heard of Jesus’
message of hope and forgiveness.
Truth: Those who put their faith in Christ has the
capability to do “greater works” for the glory of
God.
Application: Do not doubt what God has
promised – Act on your faith if someone needs to
be prayed for go ahead pray for that person, God
can use you in ways you have never imagined
possible.
