Dorna Introduces MotoGP of Indonesia in

Doha – In the middle of holding Moto GP Qatar, Doma Sport made a presentation
about MotoGP of Indoesia that will be held in 2021. That presentation got a praise.

MotoGP 2019 officially started in Doha. On Saturday (9/3/2019), Losail circuit, Doha, is
holding a free practice session and qualification for race that wil be held on Sunday
(10/3)

On the sidelines of Marc Marquez et al racing on the track, Dorna Sport SL, promoter of
MotoGP, held a presentation about the agreement to hold MotoGP in Indonesia in 2021.
As it is known, Indonesia has signed a contract with Dorna to hold the highest class
race.

Led directly by Dorna Carmelo Ezpeleta's CEO, he explained that Indonesia is one of
Dorna's old targets to be included in the MotoGP calendar. He was also pleased that
this possibility would be realized in 2021.
"Since 1997 in Sentul, we have a mission to enable it to be held in Indonesia. Indonesia
is one of the largest motorbike users countries in the world, we know motorcycle and
motorbike racing are very important in Indonesia," Ezpeleta said

"And since then we have tried various possibilities and around since last year we
worked with ITDC and finally we were able to announce the possibility in 2021," he
added.

"The Indonesian Grand Prix will be something different. This is very special and happy
with the possibilities and we think this is an important step for MotoGP in the future," he
explained

While from Indonesia represented by Ricky Baheramsjah, Head of Investment and


Marketing of Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). On that occasion, he
introduced Lombok as the location of the Mandalika Circuit, the Indonesian MotoGP
racing arena in 2021, which is on the Indonesian tourism agenda.

"We started this project since 2017, we actually began to approach at the end of 2016
and began to conceptualize with Road Grip the construction of a street race circuit
concept in Mandalika," he explained.

Also attending the press conference, MRK1 Consulting Managing Director Mark Hughes
and Indonesian riders who competed in Moto2, Dimas Ekky Pratama.

In the presentation which lasted about 40 minutes, the journalists enthusiastically asked
about various matters related to the Indonesian MotoGP. The presentation session
ended with applause from the audience.
