1. Admission:
n Provide the school with copies of all medical, psychological or educational assessments or reports on entry to the school.
Such materials are a prerequisite in enabling us to provide the best education for your child. Failure to disclose any such
information, including the deliberate withholding of information, may result in your child not making the expected progress in
school.
n Notify the principal in writing if they are aware or suspect that their child (or anyone in his or her immediate family) has a
congenital/chronic/critical illness or any learning difficulty, and the parents must provide the school with copies of all
written reports and other relevant information. Parents will be asked to withdraw their child if, in the professional
judgment of the clinic, the child’s teachers and the principal and after consultation with the parents and with the student
(where appropriate), the school suspects that such vital information about special and medical needs has been deliberately
withheld.

a. Mandatory subjects: As per the rules and regulations in the UAE, it is mandatory for:
1. All Muslim students to study Islamic Education from Grade/Year 1 to Grade 12/Year 12 inclusive.
2. All Arab students (registered at the school with an Arab passport) to study Arabic as a first language from Grade/Year 1
to Grade /Year 12 inclusive.
3. All students registered at the school with a non-Arab passport to study Arabic as an additional language from
Grade/Year 1 to Grade/ Year 9 inclusive.

c. Assessment policy:
l KG 1 - Grade 12
The academic year is divided into two terms for the purpose of assessment:
l Three P.T.Ms are held periodically to critically discuss the student's progress.
l Tests in Grades 1- 12 are scheduled by the administration and the material covered is made available to students on the
school website in time.
2. Assessment Plan
1. Pre-Primary - KG 1 and KG 2- Students are formatively assessed, as they engage in their daily activities, in Physical skills,
Personal and Cognitive skills, Social and Emotional Development.
2. Grades 1 to 11 - Each term has two Formative Assessments (FA) and one Summative Assessment (SA).
Formative Assessment comprises of different modes of testing, namely Conversation Skills, Assignments, Oral Questions,
Projects, Quizzes, Class work, worksheets and Research Work, Portfolio Management, as well as pen and paper tests. These are
diagnostic in nature and give students an opportunity to continuously progress.
Summative Assessment for Grades 6-12 conducted at the end of each term, comprises of a written examination.
3. Grade 10
This consists of the evaluation of Scholastic Attainment which is reflected in the report card in the form of Marks and Grades. A
9-point grading system will be followed as per the directive given by the Board.
Scholastic Area:
• The Overall Evaluation is consolidated on the basis of performance in Board Examination and Internal Assessment, conducted
through the academic year. Examinations will incorporate the cumulative portion of the syllabus that has been covered.
Summary:
4. Grade 12
l This is the graduating class and is assessed by the CBSE Board at the end of the year. A student's progress is closely
monitored through the year in partnership with teachers, student and parents.
l Assessment, per subject, consists of two cycles of Formative Assessments and three Summative Assessments.
Grades 1 – 9 : It is expected that in order to qualify for the next grade a student should achieve a minimum of an overall D
grade in Grades 1 - 5 and C2 grade in Grades 6- 9, in each subject, at the end of the academic year.
Grades 10 and 12 : Grades 10 and 12 are Board classes which are governed by CBSE rules.
Grade 11:
n A minimum of 35% in the unit test is necessary in order to qualify for overall pass. In case a student does not obtain 35%
marks in the unit test, then he/she is required to clear an additional assignment/project in the concept tested.
n A minimum of 40% in every subject is considered the pass mark in both the overall Assessment as well as in the Annual
Examination.
n The student must achieve 40% in the theory exam to qualify for promotion in subjects which include practical.

3. Fees:
Returning students:
l For returning students, and according to the Schools Fees Framework, the school will charge up to 10% of the total fee
amount to be paid within the time frame specified by the school:
¡ This amount is non-refundable unless the family has to move outside the Emirate of Dubai before the start of the academic
year.
¡ The school reserves the right to ask for proof that the family is moving outside the Emirate of Dubai such as an acceptance
offer from another school situated outside Dubai.
¡ This amount is deductible from the first term of the academic year.
New students:
n For new students, and according to the Schools Fees Framework, the school will charge parents up to 30% of the total fee
amount to be paid within three days of the confirmation of admission.
n This amount is non-refundable unless the family has to move outside the Emirate of Dubai before the start of the academic
year.
n This amount is deductible from the first term of the academic year.
Refunds:
n For students who are withdrawn from the school during the academic year, fee deduction will be applied as per the Schools
Fees Framework quoted below:
l If the student attends school for two weeks or less, one month's fee will be deducted.
l If the student attends school for a period ranging between two weeks and one month, two months' fees will be
deducted.
l If the student attends for more than a month, three months' fees will be deducted.
Sibling policy:
It is the policy of the school that siblings shall receive discounted fees. The deductions apply to school fees only and
do not include other fees stipulated in this contract. This is a binding promise for the current academic year and until
otherwise specified in another binding school- parent contract. Deductions are to be calculated as follows:
l Academic Awards :
n l Grade 11:
l A student maintaining an aggregate of 92% or above in Grade 11Award of AED 2,500/-.
l Grade 10
n 50% of the tuition fee free ship in Grade 11 for CBSE Grade 10 topper of the school.
Special Awards:
n Hamdan Award
Sports Awards:
If the team wins at the national level, all members will get AED 750/- cash prize.
1. Tuition Fee:
n If staff has completed one year of service –
n If staff has completed three to five years of service, only AED 500 per annum to be paid.
n If staff has completed more than five years of service, 100% fee waiver is granted.
8. Transportation:
The school is responsible for ensuring the students' safety while on school buses, whether managed by the school or outsourced
to a third party. In addition to implementing rigorous safety procedures outlined in a school policy, the school will also ensure
the full implementation of the guidelines outlined by RTA on the matter.
The following are expectations set by the school for parents at the school.
a. Private vehicles:
l To ensure the safety of all students and due to limited parking facilities, all private vehicles require prior permission to
enter the school campus ( permission is at the discretion of the school authorities).
n Parents must abide by the designated entry and exit routes set by the school.
n School personnel and staff helping in the organization of students’ arrival and dispersal times represent the school and their
instructions must be obeyed.
b. Buses:
n For all intents and purposes, school buses, whether managed by the school or outsourced to a third party, are considered
part of the school premises when being used by students.
n All safety rules and behavior expectations set by the school and enforced by personnel must be adhered to by students and
parents.
n All the Students have been issued RFID Cards to be scanned during boarding and de-boarding the bus or on entering /
exiting the school premises for security of the child, to curtail truancy and ensure punctuality. It is mandatory for the
students to carry the same every day to school.
n Failure to carry RFID will result in the student being denied entry on the bus/ at the school gate. In case of loss of RFID, to
reissue a new RFID the student will be required to submit a new application along with a fee of AED 20/-.
