WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORT

GAMBOA, Michelle
Week # 8
June 25 - 29, 2018

 June 25, 2018

 Learning how create points and add data in the software Map Info, which would was used to
represent the “sites/antenna” and then later add information regarding sites
 Meeting regarding utilizating the approved RF planning, the limitations and guidelines to
follow
 June 26, 2018
 Meeting regarding about the issue Overlap Assessments of the sites to help resolve the issue
 Taking note and determining of the overlapping assessment whether each sites would need
to be resolved or not
 To resolve the overlapping sectors of multiple antennas emitting RF signals which overlaps to
the same area
 June 27, 2018
 Overlapping Assessment for Buckets A-E was started following the guidelines
 Reviewing and QA-ing the assessments with the whole team to help verify and resolve the
issue - such as upgrading the current technology or creating new sites or removing them.
 Meeting with the WBE team, undisclosed information
 June 28, 2018
 Continued Overlapping Assessment for Buckets A-E
 June 29, 2018
 Using U-Net to Predict Sites, to help determine the range of the RF signal being emitted by
the given sites

WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORT

GAMBOA, Michelle
Week # 9
July 2 - 6, 2018

 July 2, 2018
 Using U-Net to Predict Sites for the project regarding Home Broadband Wireless (HBW)
 Creating and adjusting the parameters needed to acquire the correct range the emitted RF
signal being simulated by a certain site
 July 3, 2018
 Obtaining the percent error overlapping between MM (Massive MIMO) and 4T4R RF signals
to know which site must be the planning be redone if it reaches an percent overlap of more
than forty percent (40%).
 Massive MIMO = Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (antenna system)
 4T4R = 4 Transmit 4 Receive (antenna system)
 July 4, 2018
 Appending .tab file (maps) using the software Map Info (Consolidating maps .tab files into 1
file) while simultaneously doing QA regarding the .tab files (maps) being appended if they
were any mistakes or whatsoever with the data
 Which made me more familiar with the software itself
 July 5, 2018
 On Leave
 July 6, 2018
 Appending .tab file (maps) using the software Map Info (Consolidating maps .tab files into 1
file) while simultaneously doing QA regarding the .tab files (maps) being appended if they
were any mistakes or whatsoever with the data

GAMBOA, Michelle
Week # 10
July 9 - 13, 2018

 July 9, 2018
 Consolidating files in excel
 July 10, 2018
 Preparations for pre-read for MANCOM, wherein MANCOM is a required event for
interns to present their learnings during their internship with the head of the
department and other selected high standing officers in Globe
 July 11, 2018
 MANCOM Presentation Day
 Day where the Batch 1 interns (including me) presented their learnings and sharings
ina panel like audience.
 July 12, 2018
 Team meeting regarding the timeline, ideas, strategies, distribution of labor and
goals of doing an RF planning for their project regarding Home Plan Wireless
 July 13, 2018
 Prediction for HPW Project (Home Plan Wireless) using the parameters given to
create a simulation of the coverage of the RF signal
 U-Net was used to simulate the coverage RF signal, adjusting the parameters as well
to suit the signal depending on the area.
 I was able to learn the what parameters are adjusted and why they are adjusted to best
suit the simulated coverage
