Do you think internet has improved communication amongst people?

The internet is the computer network which allows computer users to connect with
computers all over the world. Internet has definitely improved our communication, there is no doubt
about it. It has made communication faster, easier and more frequent, but I think it also has given rise to
some serious problems. I strongly feel that the internet has improved communication amongst people.

One of the most common aspects of the internet in communications is how quickly
people to communicate around the world. To show that, the instant messaging changed the
communications between two people such as WhatsApp application that everyone uses. Another
remarkable idea, the use of email to communicate formally. For instance, companies communicate
faster using your Gmail emails. Finally, another way to communicate and express an opinion quickly is
through Twitter. Specifically, people use this application to communicate and express opinions about a
topic.

The Internet can effectively connect via video stream. First of all, Skype is proprietary
software distributed by Microsoft that allows text, voice and video communications over the Internet.
For example, two or more people anywhere in the world can make a video call to communicate through
Internet. Second, Facebook Messenger allows users to make voice calls and video calls in both individual
interactions and group conversations. For instance, you can call any contact you have on Facebook.
Finally, if you have an Apple Device, Face Time is a great app to connect people. Specifically Face Time is
a video telephony application for the iPhone that allows to transmit video with both the front and the
back of the iPhone.

Another way to communicate online is through voice over Ip or VoIP protocol. First,
many companies use this technology to lower costs when using calls. To show that, this technology
allows us to call any number within the company that is on the network. Second, you can make calls
between several people. To prove that, when you have to work in a team, it is a very useful tool. Finally,
video conferencing can be done for important meetings through VoIP digital phones. Just to give an
example, this tool is used when you have meetings with people in other states or countries.

I can draw the conclusion Internet is a great tool to

communicate either at work or just to communicate with others. My recommendation would be that we
use these tools to improve the workplace not to become a waste of time.
