As agent hired to talk to customer about new branch of restaurant, I should be knowing some of the

key things before making a “Cold Call”. Below are the some of the key points.

 Details of the Customer: Should be aware of the available details of customer.


 Details of the Restaurant: Should be aware of restaurant you are marketing, in detail.
 What Should be Highlighted
 What offers you can make

Considering these details, below is the sample call to a potential customer.

Agent: “Hello Mr. Shankar, this is Shreeraj from Hegde Restaurant”

Customer: “Yes”

Agent: “I see, you are food lover. And has appreciated good foods”

Customer: “Should give credit where it is due. What is the purpose of this call? I don’t remember
this restaurant name”

Agent: “Well, that is precisely why I called you sir. We have total 15 branches in Bangalore and we
have opened new one in your neighbourhood. And it is our duty to give information about this to
food lovers like you, sir”

Customer: “Are you advertising your restaurant here?”

Agent: “I would say, we are requesting you for an opportunity to serve you with our delicious
cuisines. We have hired best of chefs around the globe to meet you tastes sir. We have specialised
services in Continental, Chinese and Indian dishes”

Customer: “I am a vegetarian and what you have to offer me?”

Agent: “We certainly acknowledge and encourage everyone’s eating habits, sir. We have separate
kitchen for vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. We also have arrangements to cook separately for
customers who are allergic to any ingredients”

Customer: “That sounds great! Price might be high in that case”

Agent: “Prices are comparable, sir. With the quality of food and services we are providing, we are
offering very competitive prices. And there are also several combo dishes with reduced price”

Customer: “Will I find any details online?”

Agent: “Certainly sir, we have our own website, where you can see images of our restaurant
ambience and dishes and offers. Also, you can log in to other food service websites like Zomato
where you can read customer ratings and reviews.”

Customer: “Sound good, I think I am going to try once. What are the offers you can provide to me”

Agent: “Since we have started this branch newly in your area, we are providing a flat 20% off on final
bill and also a Hegde Restaurant Special dessert as complimentary.”

Customer: “Can I book a table or should I have to walk in.”


Agent: “We would like to book a table for you and your family sir. Normally weekend lunch and
dinner slots will be on high demand. You can also book table from our website. Also, you can call us
to book.”

Customer: “Nice, can you book a table for 6 this Saturday at 8pm.”

Agent: “With pleasure sir. Your booking is confirmed sir, and I promise you that you will have really
great time.”

Customer: “Thanks, let me add it to my calendar.”

Agent: “Thank you very much sir for you time and opportunity to serve you”

Customer: “Not an issue, Thanks”

increasing. They have successfully conveyed their target customer that, their product helps

Super League tournament. Campaign starts with some people wondering when Indian
football team will qualify for world cup. Then commercial suggest that, you should start
supporting football now so that India can enter world cup someday. “Fan banna padega (be
a fan)” campaign has used people sentiment about Indian football in world cup and started
off well.
3. “Mahindra Rise”: Mahindra has launched campaign called “Mahindra Rise”. Idea was to
bring all Mahindra brands under one image. This targeted market outside India of Mahindra.
This campaign helped Mahindra to market their brands.
