I believe that school should be a fun place to learn and blossom into the people that we intend to be,

and
that’s why there needs to be rules in place that are followed and respected so that everyone can do this safely
and effectively!

Bullying and Cyber bullying are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Any of this activity will result in a
detention or suspension.

- Any and all activities that the students partake in should promote respect and encouragement.
- I like when my students are uplifting and helpful of one another.
- I like when my students are aware of and respect other people’s space and belongings.
- I do not like when my students are being put down or called names.
- I do not like when my students’ privacy and space are being invaded or disregarded.

My Rules!
My classroom is a fun and safe learning environment!

In my classroom we have a color chart based on behavior. Every day the students will move their clips based
on four colors.

• Red- Having a horrible day. Treating the teacher or other classmates with disrespect. Not listening or
following directions, not ready to learn, and needing constant reminders.
• Yellow- Having a rough day. Difficulty following directions. Needed multiple reminders.
• Green- Attentive, Positive behavior, and ready to learn!
• Purple- Extraordinary behavior! Was kind and helpful to others. Was going above and beyond!

All students will start their day on green behavior and be moved accordingly. The colors will be reported home
to Mom/Dad every day.

I have an achievement chart in my classroom that students will be able to add stickers to based off
achievements and good behavior. When Students fill up their chart, they will be awarded a prize from the
treasure box!

On the board in my classroom, I have the word Successful spelled out with lines for checkmarks above each
letter! When the class is working well together as a team and myself or another teacher notices, the students
will earn a checkmark above one of the letters. When every letter has received a checkmark, the class will
receive a classroom award, such as:

- 10 extra recess minutes

- Popsicle Party

If students are not respecting my classroom or other students in it, steps will be taken in this order if behavior
persists:

1. Warning/Reminder
2. Time out/Moving behavior color down
3. Note home to Mom/Dad that needs to be signed and returned.
4. Sent to the principal’s office/Call home to Mom/Dad

My goal is to have my students wanting to do well so they can receive praise rather than punishment from their
teachers and family. They should be able to correct their own actions based off their feelings of respect for
themselves and one another. I want students to understand and hold personal accountability for their actions.
