The Pavilion will present over 100 Caribbean food products ranging from sauces, syrups, spices and
seasonings, jams and jellies, condiments, candy and snacks, rum, juices and sodas, salsas, dips
and seafood.

Over the years, Caribbean exporters have regarded the show as an excellent forum for accessing the
US market, and this year promises to be equally rewarding, as companies will once again have the
opportunity to:

• Introduce new products into the market;

• Establish networking relations with broker, retailer and buyers; and
• Identify the trends in the food business

With the continued growth in the North American specialty food market, even as the global
recession continues to restrict family budgets, Caribbean Export continues to highlight the
tremendous value of authentic Caribbean food products. Increasingly, families are finding
Caribbean foods to be an affordable indulgence, while restaurants and food suppliers are
discovering strong demand for Caribbean products.

BEL-MER WINERY

Bel-Mer Winery is a company that takes the age old Belizean tradition of making exotic fruit wines
and adding elegance and international wine making techniques. Working with over 40 years of wine
experience in the United States, the owner has created a Belizean product from our abundance of
local rare fruit to wines of exotic and unique quality.

Bel-Mer Winery opened in 2007 and with a modest beginning started to set itself apart from most
other country wine-makers. Wine taste range from sweet to semi-dry and from fruits like our favorite
cashew to the exotic dragon fruit. Bel-Mer is currently the only mid-scale winery in Belize that makes
its’ wine from 100% natural fruit. The quality of this wine over the years has gotten the attention
of wine drinkers from all different parts of the world. At present the company’s aim is changing a culture
of sweet wine drinkers to that of a semi-dry palate, thus moving wine drinkers to a drier taste level.

Presently we are catering to the local market and the tourist sector with a focus on the export market.
However our products enter the international market with both locals and tourists taking them abroad
for friends and relatives.

CALYPSO RUM CAKE

In 1998, Calypso Bakeries Ltd opened its headquarters just outside of the Barbados’ capital city,
Bridgetown. The name Calypso was chosen as it encompasses not only the island of Barbados,
but also symbolises the spirit of the Caribbean. With the production of the original flavours, Vanilla,
Calypso Bakeries Ltd experienced immediate success throughout the island of Barbados.
While the Vanilla is still the most popular customer choice, we quickly added new flavours such as
Chocolate, Lemon- Ginger and Coffee. While all flavours fall under our highest quality standard
of true Caribbean taste.

In 1999, we established production compliance with international food safety standard,

HACCP, a hazard analysis and control certification. We are also a FDA registered company giving
customers worldwide peace of mind. This provides our customers with the guarantee that our entire
baking process, including vacuum sealing, boxing and wrapping, ensures highest quality standards.
The main ingredient that sets our cakes apart from all the others is a 10-year aged Golden Rum,
made and completely processed in Barbados. The pure form of this world famous rum is not available
internationally. In fact, most islands buy their rum from Barbados and either bottle or mix it in their
country. A combination of this highest quality rum and our commitment for highest cake moisture
has made our product known worldwide. Our production methods, such as hand-ladled glaze,
are labor intensive differentiating our cakes from any mass produced item and giving you the
authentic home-style Caribbean cake.

LOCAL SPICE

Local Spice Complete Seasoning, the brainchild of twin brothers Marlon and Marvin Stuart, first entered
the market of January 2010; some three months after Local Spice Limited became a registered company
with the mindset to promote a line of products that by its content utilises spices grown locally in Jamaica.

Our philosophy is to support our local farmers; this commitment will help to ensure the growth and
stability of our agricultural industry. Our unique position is to market our product by its content as
Jamaican with a balance that creates strong global appeal.

Local Spice has earned rave reviews from Phil Lempert, one of America’s leading consumer trend-watchers
and analysts during the April 8th, 2010 episode of his popular weekly program Product Hits and Misses
segment on ABC News Now. Lempert gave Local Spice’s Complete Seasoning an impressive rating of 95 out
of 100. The product received top marks for taste, value, health, ingredients, preparation, appearance and
packaging.
