1 General
1.1 Purpose
This document provides coverage prediction between UHF Radio repeater
Mobile/Handheld radio within various locations around the repeater.
The software used for calculating the coverage is Pathloss 5.0.
The coverage study is limited for outdoor application only.
There are two coverage predictions to be calculated:
 The coverage of signal received on Handheld/ Mobile radio (as receiver) from UHF
Radio repeater (as transmitter), called downlink coverage.
 The coverage of signal received on UHF Radio repeater (as receiver) from
Handheld/ Mobile radio (as transmitter), called uplink coverage.

This coverage study for UHF Radio repeater systems / equipment is designed and
supplied.

4.3 Requirements
According to the specification document, the UHF radio shall operate in the frequency
between 320-390 MHz the UHF system shall ensure the reliability performance meet the
following criteria:
1) BER less than 1 x 10-6
2) Fade margin minimum 15dB
