10 Rules To Live By

Ethics resolves the questions of human morality by wondering which decision would be

best made in certain situations. Justice to me means equal or fair. Ethics and Justice are related

by asking yourself in a certain situation what you should do and why you should do it. For

example like a bus hitting a group of workers or you can push a heavy man to stop the train, It is

justice and ethical not to push the heavy man because he had nothing to do with the workers

risking their lives to fix something. An Ethical Framework that follows my 10 rules is Natural

Duties because my rules deal with treating people with respect,Avoiding cruelty, and Doing

justice.

First, My 10 rules are #1 Do no harm, #2 Be nice to everyone, #3 Be the bigger person

in a disagreement, #4 Be supportive, #5 Don’t hate on others, #6 Stay humble, #7 Make ethical

decisions, #8 Don’t turn on anyone, #9 Treat others the way you like being treated, and #10 To

be yourself so you’re not fake to others. Rules #2 and #6 are grouped together because I feel like

they are similar in a way. Rule #3 to be a good person you must be the bigger person in a

disagreement ALWAYS. #4 It is always important to be supportive to everyone because you

never know the things people go through everyday. Rule #5 In order to be a good person you

cannot hate on others hard work because they made it. Rule #7 In order to be a good person you

must make ethical decisions on whether what is the right thing to do. Rule #8 Always make sure

to never turn your back on anyone because remember those you struggled with. Rule #9 The
golden rule is to always make sure you treat others the way you would like to get treated because

You want to live a life where people like you instead of disliking you. Rule #10 Be yourself so

you’re not fake to others because if you are fake to people then they won’t hang around you so

always be real with everyone. All these rules connect to the Natural Duties framework because

they deal with treating people with respect,Avoiding cruelty, and Doing justice.

I developed this list by thinking what type of person I am and then I was going one by

one yea these rules sound like me so I added the ones that I could think of. I made 2

revisions because I felt some rules sounded the same in a way and I didn’t want to sound

repetitive so I made some changes.

As a conclusion if I were to live my life by these rules then I would spread more

positivity to not myself but everyone else in the world and that is exactly what we need. If

everyone followed these rules there wouldn’t be crime at all and everyone would accept

everyone as a whole instead of people doing bad things to each other.
