The Department of Labor and Employment has set a Career Guidance Week this July to help
match prospective jobseekers' skills with available job opportunities.
DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said the event aims to help high school students decide what
course is best for their skills.
“The observance of Career Guidance Week in all high schools starting this year is envisioned to
prevent too much waste of resources in producing graduates in the tertiary level, as well as in
technical vocational level who could not meet the standards for the labor market,” she said.
A DOLE news release said the event from here on "shall be held every last week of July of every
