Uttarakhand Trip

 Delhi to Haridwar (235 kms)

 Haridwar to Barkot (220 kms / 7 hrs): Dehradun, Mussoorie, Kempty Falls near Mussoorie
 Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (36kms drive & 7kms Trekking – one side)
o Hanuman Chatti: The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River. Here you need to
take local jeep for Janki chatti. It reduces the trekking distance upto 8 kms. Trekking then
starts to Yamunotri (6kms) either by walking, by horse or by Doli at own expenses. One
can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the Kund. Pilgrims
can take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. “Pooja” can be offered to Divya Shila, after
taking bath in Jamunabai Kund’s and “Darshan” of pious “Yamunaji” returning to
Hanumanchatti.
 Barkot – Uttarkashi (100kms/4hr): Vishwanath Temple
o Uttarkashi is situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi.
o The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected.
Other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and
Goddess Kuteti Devi.
 Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100kms/3hr each side)
o The tour proceeds to Gangotri Village (3048 m height)
o The route passess through Harsil village and Bhagirathi River, offering the most
magnificent view of the Himalayas.
o After Gangotri Darshan the tour returns to Uttarkashi. Night stay at Uttarkashi.
 Uttarkashi – Guptakasi (220kms/9hr)
o The tour will proceed to Guptakasi early in the morning.
o Darshan at temples: Rudranath and Chamunda Devi, Koteshwar Temple (3 Kms).
o Rudraprayag: The town is situated at the confluence of river Mandakini and river
Alaknanda.
 Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Badrinath – (Helicopter) – Guptakashi
o Kedarnath Temple: height of 3580 meters near the origin of Mandakini River.
o Badrinath Temple
 Guptakasi – Rishikesh (165kms/7hr) – Haridwar (25kms/1hr)
o Rishikesh: Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram,
Parmarth Ashram are the important places to visit in Rishikesh.
 Rishikesh to Delhi (230 kms)
