3.3 Population Projection

Sariaya is a coastal municipality in the province of Quezon.The municipality has a land area of
212.16 square kilometers or 81.92 square miles which constitutes 2.36% of Quezon's total area.
Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was 148,980. This represented 8.02% of the
total population of Quezon province, or 1.03% of the overall population of the CALABARZON
region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 702 inhabitants per square
kilometer or 1,819 inhabitants per square mile.
3.3.A Baranggays

Sariaya has a total land area of 24,530 hectares and composed of 43 barangays. Six (6)
barangays are urban barangays located at the Poblacion, one (1) barangay is classified as sub-
urban and six (6) barangays are coastal barangays.Hereunder is the list of Barangays in
