To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is to confirm that BioSol SL36 is a sole source product that is proudly South African. BioSol
SL36 as a product is manufactured, sold and distributed exclusively by the Kellnore International-
Kellnore Construction-BioPower Corporation Group Joint Venture (hereafter the “Kellnore-BioPower
JV”).
 BioSol SL36 is based on organic carbon-derived microbes, instead of being flora-based
 BioSol SL36’s composition is unique and effective and can only be obtained from us
 The synergy of the different phyla working in unison is so unique (environmentally optimized),
and is the reason why only 8% of bacteria die in the space of a year
 Most of our bacteria are motile, therefor actively searching for organics to digest
 Our bacteria remain dormant until a catalyst is added to activate them
 Non-toxic to humans and animals, and completely environmentally friendly
 BioSol SL36 through BioPower Corporation Group in conjunction with SABS is currently
establishing standards for Biological Wastewater Treatment Products for which no standards
exist in South Africa.

Kellnore-BioPower JV maintains all copyright and distribution privileges for the product, and the
product must be purchased directly from the venture. There are no agents or dealers authorized to
represent the product except those who received distribution rights directly from Kellnore-BioPower
JV. No single entity of Kellnore-BioPower JV has any right of sublicense to make a competing product.
Kellnore-BioPower JV warrants that no other items or products are available for purchase that would
serve the same purpose or function using biological treatment, and there is only one
price for the above-named product because of exclusive distribution and marketing rights.

ANNEXURE A: THE UNIQUENESS OF BIOSOL SL36
1. BioSol SL36 Attributes as Compared to Competitors

1.1. BioSol SL36 Benefits

The usage of BioSol SL36 ensures the following benefits:

 Water Resource Management that more than complies with existing

government standards
 Odor control
 Disease control
 Human Waste Management through the biological digestion of sludge
 Improve the environment
 Living standards and general socio-economics in communities be uplifted
and the local economies boosted.

1.2. BioSol SL36 Uniqueness

Because of the uniqueness of our product, BioSol SL36, the only criteria to
differentiate our product with other products is the composition of BioSol SL36.

BioSol SL36 is the natural bacteria-based product Kellnore-BioPower JV uses to

treat waste systems and breaks down organic waste in pit latrines and Waste
Water Treatment Works. BioSol SL36 is not a chemical based product but
contains; organic carbon and free lignin in a water soluble form. Unlike other
biological products, BioSol SL36 is based on organic carbon-derived microbes
instead of being enzyme/flora-based.

It contains the following natural elements:

 Organic carbon-derived microbes

 Cultured, environmentally optimized bacteria with specific abilities
 Naturally occurring nutrients that are specific to the bacteria
 Biologically treated organic liquid

BioSol SL36 dissolves and digests all organic waste in the waste systems,
eliminates odors and keeps it odor free. In waste water systems, the digestion
process results in clean effluent, complying to such a level that it is safe to use
for gardening purposes and does not contaminate ground water.

Most natural products on the market has limited bacterial groups / species and
related sub-strains, or are flora-based enzymes (Bacteria produces enzymes
that performs a specific function e.g. neutralizes odors etc.). The effectiveness
of an “Organic Microbial Blend” depends on the number and type of bacterial
strains inside the blend.

1.3. BioSol SL36 Classification and Properties

The potential risks associated with the carcinogenic effects of chemical

products such as formaldehyde are non-existent when using the BioSol SL36
organic product. To understand the uniqueness of BioSol SL36 we can
summarize the following:

 Classification, evaluation, analysis and preparation was done by the

following institutions:

o Agricultural Services Laboratory – USDA University of Georgia

(United States)
o Centre for Micro Ecology and Genomics – UP-TUKS
o SANAS Accredited Testing Laboratory No T0391 – Waterlab
o SABS – Project Proposal and Registration

 The following should be noted:

o A complete Phylogenetic analysis has been done (results available on

request)
o A Biomonitoring analysis was done (results available on request)
o Approval of analysis by SANAS Accredited Testing Laboratory No
T0391
o Currently no SABS approved standard on biological (as opposed to
enzyme-based) sanitation products exist in South Africa. SABS, in
conjunction with Kellnore-BioPower JV has already established a task
team to standardize the biological sanitation process in 2016.
The character attributes of BioSol SL36 that defines, and distinguishes this
dominant product from any other imitator in the world is as follows:

 The product’s waste digestion capabilities set it in a class apart, ensuring

quality standards that exceed any expectation.
 Phylogenetic characteristics and analysis ensure that the product has no
harmful substances and is completely safe for human and animal
exposure.
 Being environmentally friendly, BioSol SL36 does not harm the
environment, but actually boosts the natural bacterial cultures already
found in existing waterways and dams.
 The composition of BioSol SL36 is a closely guarded secret, ensuring that
no imitation can reach the effectiveness of the product itself.
 The organic carbon-derived microbial ingredient in BioSol SL36 ensures
the removal of odors from any waste system within a relatively short
period of time.
 BioSol SL36 is extremely heterogeneous, with 36 genera (represented by
approximately 182 bacterial species) in 4 dominant groups namely:

o Proteobacteria
o Bacteriodetes
o Tenericutes
o Firmicutes

The above mentioned organisms create the most efficient, non-toxic and
environmentally friendly organic sanitation product in the world, namely BioSol
SL36.

 BioSol SL36 was analyzed in detail, in the following categories, where it was
found to be completely within international limits:

o Acute Toxicity
o Volatile Organic Compounds (via TCLP method)
o Base/Neutral/Acid Semi-Volatiles
o Pesticides (via TCLP method)
o Metals (via TCLP method)
Through our development in the last 8 years looking for the most efficient and
cost effective organic product we encountered the following issues:

 Very few strains of bacteria remove odors

 Most natural products are enzymes and are quickly depleted
 Most products need high volumes applied before any results are visible
 Most bacteria only digest certain waste elements
 Some bacteria degrade randomly making them ineffective
 Some bacteria are in competition and destroy one another

The above is the reason why BioSol SL36 is such a unique product, in other
words:

 BioSol SL36 is based on organic carbon-derived microbes, instead of

being enzyme/flora-based
 BioSol SL36’s bacterial composition is unique and effective and can only
be obtained from us
 The synergy of the different phyla working in unison is so unique, and is
the reason why only 8% of bacteria die in the space of a year
 Non-toxic to humans and animals, and completely environmentally
friendly

BioSol SL 36 has been tested and analyzed by the following institutions:

 SANAS
 UNISA
 UP-TUKS
 USA EPA
 SABS (SANS 1781)

1.4. BioSol SL36 Comparison with Other Products

Though the number of bacterial species is important regarding the effectiveness

of a microbial blend, even more important is the combination of species and
related sub species. Bacteria in the BioSol SL 36 blend have been tailored to
ensure the most efficient and effective digestion process of fecal- and other
related sludge material.
Advantages/Disadvantages of BioSol SL36
Advantages Disadvantages

- Non–toxic for humans and animals - When other chemicals are used in

2. BioSol SL36 Price as Compared to Competitors
It is difficult to compare prices with other products as BioSol SL36 is a unique
product and not generally marketed in store. No other products tested have been
fully natural,
and formaldehyde-containing chemicals and acids can’t be compared at all.

Effectiveness: Not only is BioSol SL36 the most effective, but also the most
cost efficient organic product in the biological sanitation
field. Kellnore-BioPower JV is the only company
manufacturing and distributing BioSol SL36, and no other
product on the market is as effective. We are confident that
our product is superior to any other on the global stage.

In 2009 the product was marketed at certain agri-

institutions including AFGRI and other co-ops. These
companies currently demand a return of the product to
their shelves due to an influx of requests.

Sustainability: This product makes any biological sanitation treatment

sustainable in the long run. There have been biological
waste water treatment products on the market in the past
(early 2000’s) but due to their ineffectiveness they have
gone out of circulation.

Availability: Any quantity up to 0.5 million liters per month can be

supplied, keeping in mind a waiting period of 3 to 4 weeks
due to the high demand and the rigors of the growth of the
bacteria.

3. Manufacturing of BioSol SL36

 7% organic imported through Kellnore-BioPower JV

 Blending and mixing done locally.
