Do you know that notes and rests are musical symbols on a
staff that tell you when to play and when not to play?

D. Abstraction Rhythm is the flow of movement. It comes from a Greek


word rhythmus meaning to flow. It is organization of sounds
and silences that occur in music. It gives regular pulse of a
musical piece. It can also be described as the regular
recurrence of accented and unaccented beats that flow in
time.
Note is a musical symbol that represents sound. It presents
what pitch to play.
Restis a musical symbol that represents silence
Staff has five vertical lines and four spaces.

E. Application

Clef is a sign that is put at the beginning of a line of


notation. It helps to know if the note is high or low.
Pitch is the highness and lowness of sound.
