General rules for changing Active voice into Passive voice
1- Object Subject

7- Add preposition after IIIV and before By.

Note:
1- If object changes into subject and subject changes into object then
we will add By after IIIV OR preposition if present.
2- If only object changes into subject or subject changes into Object
then we will not add By after IIIV OR preposition if present.

Passive Voice of Imparatives


A sentence that issues a request or gives a command or expresses a desire or wish is
called an Imperative sentence.
Imperative sentences are addressed without naming the subject. Hence these
sentences are without Subject and starts with the Principal Verb.

sentences have different types of emotions - Order, Command, Request, Suggestion


and Advise. In Passive Voice of Imperative Sentence, we use different wordings with
the Subject as per the emotions of the sentence.

Active and passive voice with Imperative Sentences


These are the sentences in which we express our feeling and emotions like command, order, advice, and request.

Rules

1. Let + new object + be/Not be +past participle or 3rd form.

2. For sentences containing, Request, advice and order, we will use you are Requested to,
advised to and ordered to .

Note: Always remove please and kind if they are given in the sentence.

Active Voice Passive Voice

Changing an imperative sentence in the active voice to passive

An imperative sentence in the passive voice has the following form:

Let + object + be + past participle.


 Active: Carry it home.
 Passive: Let it be carried home.
 Active: Do it at once.
 Passive: Let it be done at once.
 Active: Open the door.
 Passive: Let the door be opened.
 Active: Throw the ball.
 Passive: Let the ball be thrown.

When the active voice is in the negative, the passive voice takes the form:
Let + object + not + be + past participle.
 Active: Do not beat the dog.
 Passive: Let the dog not be beaten.

Note that do is not used in the passive form.
