MOTIVATION LETTER or SOP:

Dear sir /Madam,

Firstly, let me introduce myself, I am ADNAN ALI and recently I have been
working in Sindh Environmental protection agency Karachi, Pakistan. I have
attended my Bachelor’s degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from
Dawood University of Engineering and Technology and now I am searching
scholarship for masters program.

The future is likely to see more technological development, population growth

and a greater need for enough food for our growing population, housing and
facilities to cater to our growing needs, new farming methods, industrial
developments and so on. These are likely to see more areas needing
management to avoid pollution or ecological damage, we will see new potential
contaminants as well as a need to change conditions in some areas to cope with
the changing climate. There will be an even greater need for environmental
engineers to help us deal with the potential problems that this future will bring.

I belong to under developing country which is suffering from the different

environmental issues, water pollution and climate change is one of the peak
issues of Pakistan. Every year hundreds of children’s die due to drinking
contaminated water and aquatic life is also in danger due to industrial water
pollution and biodiversity takes place which directly affects the ecosystem, my
country is also facing environmental disasters including Floods and Droughts
every year. In recent years, Smog has been the critical environmental issue that
causes harmful illnesses and became the cause of number of accidents which
took hundreds of lives every year. Industries are releasing greenhouse gases into
atmosphere without treating due to lack of environmental awareness as well as
lack of environmental experts in country

This challenging role motivated me towards environmental studies from

intermediate that’s why I preferred to study energy and environmental
engineering, during the bachelors I learned a lot about Air pollution and control,
Atmospheric chemistry, Health safety and environment, Solid waste
management, Renewable energy resourcesand also a lot about traditional energy
generation technologies and their environmental impacts where I realized that
energy generation sector contributes a lot in air pollution as well as in global
warming so, I with my group decided to start work on a sustainable energy
generation technology to increase awareness of green energy for that we did
great efforts and did lot of literature review and finally fabricated Small-scale
Organic Rankine cycle for small-scale Energy generation from waste heat
which is innovative and environment friendly for that we got best final year
project award. That was my first contribution for clean environment and now I
want to contribute further by enhancing my knowledge for which I want to do
maters in environmental engineering for which I applied at various universities
within country as well as in foreign universities and I was selected by most of
universities where I applied as my bachelor’s academic result was good but due
to lack of financial support I missed all that admission opportunities.

Then I heard about Scholarship opportunities in South Korea from some of my

friends and relatives which are studding there. They told me Government of
South Korea and professors of universities supports hardworking, energetic and
brilliant needy students for completing their higher education than I started
searching about South Korean universities for environmental engineering and I
found that South Korea is among one of the best country for research based
studies and the universities which are offering master’s in environmental
engineering have highly qualified teaching staff, well equipped labs and best
course outline so I am willing to avail masters program scholarship as I have all
that qualities which is required and make me eligible and well fit for need base
scholarship.

I am much eager to adopt and know new technologies. I am enthusiastic to

attend a Master of Environmental Engineering in South Korea to understand
different environmental issues occurring in world because the climate of earth is
changing year by year rapidly as industrialization rate is increasing.The good
reputation of high-quality education standards, an extremely distinguished
faculty members, and research facilities are the factors which have motivated
me to choose South Korea for doing masters degree.

Moreover, I feel, I am responsible for making a big move in this field and this
scholarship will give me a big chance to be one day someone who is
remembered for his innovations. I think it is our duty as people sharing life in
this world to make our future better because the future is not only ours. Our
grandchildren should be proud of us one day when they look back and find how
hard we worked to make the world a better place. I believe my qualification and
your needs would be an excellent fit. I will be happy to provide any further
