Criterion F: Product Evaluation & Future Development

Client Evaluation:
I conducted an evaluation session on March 29,2019
Evaluation of specific performance criteria outlined in Analysis section (Criterion B):

A reminder of the specific performance criteria as outlined in the Analysis section:


a. Provide an easily navigable system to showcase information about the church
i. This requirement was met, the website is easy to navigate and the information is
easy to find.
b. To create a website that has a consistent style throughout
i. The website has a consistent style throughout and a consistent color scheme
c. To create a website that provides an easy way to contact Luis with questions about
the church
i. This requirement has been met there is a contact box at the bottom of the home
page that has contact information (phone number and email) it also includes a box
where a message can be sent to the church’s e-mail. There is also a separate
contact page that includes all of the same information.
d. All links on the website are able to open easily and quickly
i. This requirement has been met, the website’s links work well and it can be
opened from different browsers.
e. Google Maps of the church
i. This requirement has been met, the website has a Google Maps widget embedded
into the website that shows the location of the church.
Recommendations for the future development of the product:
The website works well based on the preview that the website builder, Wix, provides. There
seem to be no glitches with the pages and tabs and everything is where it needs to be.
In the future, when the church has grown more, the client may want to improve the website
further by:

1. Developing the SEO (Search Engine Optimization)


a. This addition would allow the business to appear on search engines such as
Google on the first page so the business will be more recognized and get more
exposure. With better SEO the business will be able to reach more potential
members.
2. Adding more tabs to the Ministries page
a. The Pastor wants to create more ministries as the church continues to grow. This
way he feels that everyone will find something that interests them, so they will be
more active in the church and community.
3. Add a promotional video to the home page
a. Having a promotional video in the home page could give prospective members a
view of what is going on with the church. It could draw them into the rest of the
website. It could also be used in the social media pages or uploaded to YouTube
which would provide more exposure for the church

Pastor DeSousa believes that by implementing the aspects previously stated more people
will be interested in the the church. These aspects could help the get more exposure and thus
work more toward their goal of reaching more people and increasing membership. However, he
hasn’t created all the ministries he wants to which is why those pages will need to be added later
as membership increases.
