Assignment Three

My personal technology goals would be to be able to use any type of classroom

technology with a breeze. There are so many sources and technological devices that I have never

been introduced to. So that is why that is my goal. Want to be as fully informed as I possibly can

so I can be prepared for the future there is in technology. I hope to learn how to use a 3D printer

The ISTE Standard, Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity, is something

that I have always been inspired by. I attended a performing arts high school which was as the

titled states based on the performing arts. The way my classes were set up they would use all of

our talents in order to teach us make the arts a part of our education as well. For example, while

learning about the 1920s in United States History we had a speed dating activity with historical

figures during that time. While we did this, we had jazz music playing and videos of how to do

certain dances of this time. I believe this standard for teachers is important because we have to as

teachers inspire the creativity of students. If we grab their attention with certain aspects they will

grasp materials quicker and want to learn more and more.

The ISTE Standard for students is something students should know about because I feel

as if it will impower them to do better. The standards to me demonstrate how students can grow

in different realms and can use technology to enhance their learning. They are important to know

because students have to be safe while using technology. Technology is our best friend when we

know how to use it properly. It does have its downfalls and that is why we have to inform our

students of these standards. We have to give them these standards, so they can think outside the
box. To connect and network safely with others. To design things that have never been don

before.
