Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen

Your FSA ID
Your Social Security number (SSN)
Your driver's license number, if you have one
2017 tax records (parents, if you are a dependent)
Records of your untaxed income
Records of your assets/money
List of colleges you are interested in (up to 10)

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

Oct. 1, 2018: FAFSA application opens (*highly

recommended to submit ASAP)
March 2, 2019: priority filing deadline for most
colleges & deadline for Cal Grant application

 CALIFORNIA DREAM ACT APPLICATION (CADAA)

for 2019-2020

WHAT DO YOU NEED BEFORE STARTING

Be a California AB540 eligible student

Meet the following criteria:
Attended high school in CA for 3 or more years OR attained
credits earned in CA from high school equivalency
Graduated or will graduate from a CA high school or GED
Will register or enroll in an accredited and qualifying CA
college or university
DO NOT hold a valid non-immigrant visa

IMPORTANT DEADLINES
Oct. 1, 2018: CADAA online application opens (*highly
recommended to submit ASAP)
March 2, 2019: Priority filing deadline for most
colleges & deadline for Cal Grant application
After March 2, 2019: some colleges, especially
community colleges, accept the CADAA throughout the
year. Check in with your campus Financial Aid Office.
