CISCO selected here 7 peoples, 2 from ECE(telecom), 3 from CEDT & 2
From CSA.29 were selected for interview, I being DSP guy just appeared
at CISCO to get the q's to send to the group & ofcourse for a
cap(nice),they give to each person appearing at their test.Part A was
common to all which consist of Digital fundas(basics),MPU(8085,6)& some
aptitue test(very easy). Part B was software for CSA & part C was
hardware, Almost all q's from Digital design from walkerly. I attempted
Part A(cumpulsary) & Part C
Digital Design.

Part C(Hardware)--
Not in order...
1)How many DEC required for making 3:8 DEC by 2:1 DEC
Ans-7.
2)How many DEC with 3:8 with enable I/P req. to make 6:64 DEC
Ans-9.
3)Atleast 3 q. on setup & hold time
Read walkerly & Skahill carefully for these problem.
4)2 q. on Opamp, very easy just the rectification mode of OPAMP in
half wave rectification.
5) Atleast 5 q. on MOS . Read CMOS CKTS from taub sciling very
carefully.

what should be the substrate voltage of PMOS .
Ans- most negative supply.

Sorry other I don't remember but any doubt is welcome.

I think others might have send already some qns of Cisco. I too can
just indicate few things only.
the aptitude was easy. u don't need to practice much for it. If u
can
do some quantitative tests. For technical paper just get
abreast of ur BE comm. and analog/digital fundas. it will be not that
difficult anyway. same can be said about the i/v. They asked me about
making not/xor/and etc from2:1 mux. U should have some idea of
setup/hold
up times and its effect on the sys performace..the workings of ffs...
..knowledge of some well known circuitries of opamps will be useful.

one asked me about simplex/duplex/half-duplex wire sys. I didn't

know. Make sure u know it.

In HR they will ask ur future ambitions...don't mention even by mistake

ur
plans about PhD. They will think that ur going to leave their co soon.
try
to talk easily ..convincing them that u r crazy about that co. only
none
else.

In each sections there were 30 questions. 60 q's for 2 section
were of 1 hr duration.ya,there were 3 panels for interview, one for
software one foe n/wing & 3rd for hardware. In 1st section there were
about 15 q's on mental ability(simple math) which I can't remember.
Sorry for that. But some digital , anolog & MP 8085,86 were there.
Given a T.F s/(s+a) what filter is this. ans-high pass
