The following procedure is the same for all of GP-1070, GP-1080, GS-1010 and
GS-1020.

Open the packing carton.

Take out the unpacking instructions and GP-1070 (or GP-1080, GS-1010, GS-1020).

Take off the cap of GP-1070 (or GP-1080, GS-1010, GS-1020).

Shut down the e-STUDIO in advance.

Turn the power ON with the main power switch while pressing [0] and [8]
simultaneously.

Connect GP-1070 (or GP-1080, GS-1010, GS-1020) to the USB port.

Press [OK] on the AUTHENTICATION

screen.

When the ADJUSTMENT screen appears, key in [3840] and press the [START]
button.

The functions which are already installed in the e-

STUDIO appear on the LICENSE MANAGEMENT
screen.

Press [INSTALL] on the license management
screen.

Press [OK] on the license installation screen.

Select [Data overwrite enabler] from the list on

the selection screen.

Press [INSTALL].

Press [YES] on the confirmation screen.

An hourglass icon appears, then installation of

the Data Overwrite Enabler starts.

After the installation is finished, [The process

was finished successfully. Press [OK] button to
reboot the machine.] appears on the
confirmation screen.

When [OK] is pressed, the e-STUDIO will be rebooted in the normal mode.

The installed functions [Data overwrite enabler]

installation is completed.

■ The following procedure is the same for all of GP-1070, GP-1080, GS-1010 and
GS-1020.

Shut down the e-STUDIO by pressing the [ON/OFF] button until you hear a sound.

Disconnect GP-1070 (or GP-1080, GS-1010, GS-1020).

The functions installed in the e-STUDIO can be returned to the same enabler which
you used for the installation.

* This function is not available for the IPSec Enabler only.

Turn the power ON with the main power

switch while pressing [0] and [8]
simultaneously.

Press [OK] on the AUTHENTICATION screen.

When the ADJUSTMENT screen appears, key in [3840]

and press the [START] button.

[Insert your USB device into the copier USB

port and select [OK].] appears on the screen.

Insert the same enabler, which you used for

installing the selected function, into the e-
STUDIO.

* You cannot return the function to enablers

other than the one which you used for the
installation, though their functions are the
same.

Press [OK].
