Summary;

Abakada ina is a movie about an uneducated mother who strive to be the

best for her children.

In the beginning of the stories, there is a girl who does not want to study.
She grew up without even knowing how to read and write, and become an
illiterate woman. She was Stella, with her husband Daniel and their three
beautiful daughters. Stella stopped studying when she was still a child. They
often always have an argument with her mother-in-law named Matilda,
mother of his husband Daniel. Matilda lover their daughter very much and
she didn’t want them to be like their mother, but Stella give them the best
they can have. As Stella and their children lives under the same roof with
her husband’s mother, she felt that she doesn’t have a place in them, that she
can’t do anything but to sell in the market.

Daniel and his family decided to settle in manila preparing for the exam for
his job to become a marine but a lot of problems came to their life. Beth and
Gina put in the situation where they can’t be able to skip by only the help of
a police, then Joana suffered an allergy because Stella mixed up the medicine
to which is the right one to give to Joana, and Daniel was caught in the act
cheating on the exam, as a result Daniel failed to pass the examination and he
was banned from taking his license to become a marine.

Daniel decided to go back to his mother’s house but Stella refused to Daniel.
Stella has no choice they go back to her mother-in-law’s house. They started
to argue each other. Daniel called Stella an uneducated person, stupid and
worthless human being that may cause Stella to leave the house.

A few days after, Daniel saw Stella in the school with his two daughters
Gina and Joana, he tried to talk to her but Stella makes an excuse and leaves
the school. In the last scene Stella started again to go to school as a classmate
of Joana. Her mother-in-law Matilda apologizes to her. Matilda realizes her
mistake. They forgive each other, while Daniel became an aeronautical
engineer hid dream job. And Stella and Daniel have another child.

REACTION:

The essence of this movie is to prove that no one can be judge by what they
have but also by what they can do for their family. Being educated is not the
basis of being a good mother or father to our children. It is how we can give
all our best to become good parents to them.
