IMPLEMENTING PARTNERS
Goonj:
Goonj envisions to grow as an idea across regions, economies and countries using urban
discard as a tool to alleviate poverty and enhance the dignity of the poor in the world. Address
basic but neglected issues of the poor by involving them in evolving their own solutions with
dignity and urban material as reward. Aim to recognize and value the potential of local resource
and traditional wisdom of people. Promote circular economy by ensuring maximum use of each
material. Value collaborative efforts with partner organizations to increase effectiveness and
scale. Goonj views every entity as equal stakeholder in the process of development rather than
observing hierarchical relationships.
A registered charitable trust, AIM for Seva’s journey with rural children begins with primary
education and ends with employment.
AIM for Seva was founded by Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati at the turn of the century. He
used the word ‘Movement’. It essentially implies a network for Seva and through Seva and service
we connect with people and bridge the rural and urban divide through education. For it is through
learning that young people from rural India can come out of poverty and eventually contribute to
the nation’s progress.
From educating rural India, we have now moved to providing employment to students who come
from the hinterlands. Over the years, we have expanded our reach and focus. Today, we have 129
projects across 16 states spanning rural education, community development, healthcare, Vedic
studies and support for special kids and differently abled adults.
To date, we zealously follow Swamiji’s motto and that is well reflected in all our educational projects
that focus on the last mile.

HOPE Foundation
The Hope Foundation is a registered charity working with street and slum children in
Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India.
We work to free children and poor families from lives of pain, abuse, poverty and
darkness.
Living on the streets, children are exposed to horrendous physical and sexual abuse.
Those who survive are left to fend for themselves, with no promise of a safe future.
They are forced to work from as young as five years of age to earn money for food
and so cannot go to school. HOPE works to free them from child labour. HOP funds
and operates over 60 projects.
Literacy India
Literacy India can rightly be synonymised with three very powerful words: Education,
Empowerment and Employment. The very essence of literacy India are these 3 E’s
which are both paramount and powerful in transforming lives. Literacy India was born
in 1996 as a non- profit organisation of educating under privileged women and
children, and empowering them to become self-reliant and employable.
