RESUMEN
Moniliasis is a fungal disease that attacks the cultivation of cocoa (Theobroma cacao),
caused by the basidiomycete Moniliophthora roreri, in this study the severity and
incidence of this disease was evaluated in plantations of the Municipalities of San José
del Fragua and Florencia, Caquetá. Taking a completely randomized design where 50
plants and 3 fruits were evaluated for each of these for each crop, measuring the internal
and external severity according to the methodology proposed by (Sánchez et al, 1987),
as well as measuring the incidence of the disease in the plantations through the equation
I (%) = (Ni / Nt) x 100, this is how it was found that the highest severity, both internal and
external, was presented by the locality of Florencia and the time of transition; while the
lowest values were observed in the town of San José del Fragua in the dry season. In
terms of incidence, the highest values were shown by the Municipality of San José del
Fragua and the transition period and the lower values of Florencia and the dry season.
