paperwork, organize the office, help supervisor prepare treatment plans for youth, document and report incidents
and missed medications, communicate with maintenance staff if home or vehicle improvements needed, and attend
weekly meetings.
● Clean the group home while youth are at school, cook meals and provide snacks for youth, and plan a balanced
weekly menu. Other job duties include, taking youth to school, bringing youth to home visits, monitoring and
documenting phone calls when necessary, provide/plan fun recreation activities such as, bringing youth hiking, to the
skate park, to the beach, or other places of interest.

volunteer ride along learning experience. (4 hours)
• On duty with the National Park Service, lead a 1 mile Guided Walk and Tour from Miners Castle to Miners Beach for
Our Global Kids and Greening of Detroit. Allowed kids and families to view the overlook platforms of Lake Superior
and rock formations, while providing information and fun facts about the Lakeshore, and answered questions. Before
hiking on the trail, I provided a Leave No Trace Activity and safety instructions for hiking to ensure the safety of
participants, natural environment, and animals. While hiking I preplanned stops and talks about what was seen on the
hiking trail (4 hours plus 2 hours of planning/preparation)
• On duty with the National Park Service, attended Leave No Trace seminar and trail building day (12 hours)
• Taught outdoor education science lessons to 8th graders at North Star Academy every Monday for four weeks.
Included hiking and teaching outdoors in February at Little Presque Isle. (16 hours)
• Wilderness First Responder Certification through the Wilderness Medicine Training Center, December 2015,
certification valid through December 2018
• Participated in two week backpacking/stewardship course through Northern Michigan University, gained leadership,
camp cooking, and navigation skills. Involved hiking in various weather and terrain conditions with heavy packs
• Conducted research, surveys, and needs assessment of Marquette trail systems and wrote a 45 page research and
