I am hoping to earn a registered nurse position. I know I would be an asset to your team based on my
education, past work experience, and passion for nursing.

I am currently enrolled as a nursing student at the University of South Florida and complete my clinical
rotations at Manatee Memorial Hospital. These rotations have given me insight into the inner working of
your facility, including the Cerner program; aided in furthering my communication skills; and increased my
understanding of patient centered care. In the USF College of Nursing, I am part of the BRAIN and student
mentor programs allowing me to develop interpersonal skills and giving me the ability to take on leadership
roles. I also was chosen to represent USF by studying abroad at the University of Sterling in Scotland giving
me a global perspective on nursing.

I graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. During
my time at UF, I volunteered at Shands hospital in the mother/baby unit. This opportunity allowed me to
exercise my client service skills and develop my ability to prioritize situations and communications. In
addition, over summer breaks, I worked as an assistant at Moore Dental Care in Tampa. I was able to work
with a variety of people that taught me about the inner workings of a health care setting and the necessity of
working as a team.

My passion for nursing began with a passion for the medical field. I was born with Spina-bifida, which
means I grew up with a lot of medical exposure and a true fascination for the possibilities. While I began my
education journey with the idea of going to medical school, I soon realized that to get true patient interaction
and the satisfaction of helping others that I crave, nursing would be the better fit for me. I am so pleased
with my decision as nursing has given me the opportunity to pursue my interests, grow my confidence, and a
career I could see myself doing for many years to come.

In summary, based on the skills gained from my experiences and my enthusiasm for nursing, I believe I
would be a wonderful fit on your team. If you give me this chance, I would really love to work for your
