Description
The course subject provides students to understand concept of psychological and human
behavior and its factors, the human growth and development based on psychological
perspective for nursing care. Teaching learning activities consist of lectures, tutorial,
seminar, and case presentation.

Aim
The aim of this unit is to provide student with psychology knowledge and skills to apply
in nursing care decision – making processes to holistically and effectively for human
behavior assessment and nursing intervention of psychological disturbance.

At the completion of the course unit, the student should be able to achieve of

1. Basic concept of psychology to identify human behavior, consist of: Concept and
history of human behavior, The development of personality and human behavior,
Biopsychology and sensory – motor process, The levels of consciousness, Perception
and motivation, Emotion and stress-adaptation
2. Conceptual basis of psychology in the nursing process, consist of: Thinking process
and problem solving, and Learning process
3. Human development behavior and factors for nursing care, consist of: Psychological
measurement, Abnormal behaviors and simple individual personality measurement
4. Basic principles of psychology in nursing care, consist of: Interpersonal relationship
in nursing, Attitude development includes attention and performance, therapeutic
approaches in terms of nursing care.

Description
This subject describes the concept of basic human needs including bio, psycho, social, and
spiritual aspect. The integration of nursing process is implemented in this subject focusing
on oxygenation, medication, fluid and electrolyte balance, elimination, pain and comfort,
rest and sleep, sexuality, mobility, nutrition, safety, and loss and grieving. The concept of
documentation including definition, aims, main principles, purposes, models and techniques
is also discussed based on the standard of nursing process, legal aspects, and risk
management in order to provide student with an opportunity to develop and record nursing
care and also to analyze data through lectures, clinical practice and case presentation. The
subject provides various learning strategies such as lecturer, discussion, laboratory
practices, and clinical practices.

Aim
The aim of this subject is to provide student with the knowledge and skills to apply clinical
decision-making processes holistically of basic human needs including bio, psycho, social,
and spiritual aspect by using the nursing process approach.

Learning Outcome
After completing this subject and further independent learning the student will be expected
to:
1. Identify kinds of basic human need in normal conditions focusing on oxygenation,
medication, fluid and electrolyte balance, elimination, pain and comfort, rest and sleep,

2. Provide nursing care for clients with particular conditions focusing on oxygenation,
medication, fluid and electrolyte balance, elimination, pain and comfort, rest and sleep,

3. Understand the principles of nursing documentation including definition, aims, main

Description
The subject focuses on concept, principle of communication and information technology to
establish good nursing – client relationship and good collaboration with other healthcare
professions. The subject provides students with the opportunity to implement concepts of
communication and information technology in team work communication and the nursing
care to the client at all level ages. The communication and information and technology for
teaching learning methods used are lectures, seminar, role play, and clinical practice.

Aim
The aim of this unit is to provide student with the communication and information
technology knowledge and skills to apply clinical decision – making processes to holistically
and effectively promote, prevent, care and restore used therapy communication and
information technology support.

Learning Outcome
At the completion of the course unit, the student should be able to achieve of competency

1. Perform principles of communication with other healthcare professions on teamwork of

2. Apply communication technique in nursing care to client and family in several conditions

Description
This subject describe about theory and concept of the human, community culture,
anthropology and sociology concept, human and family as a subsystem of the
community, norms in the community life, value of the community culture in various
nation, believe, religion as a power in community life and the application in community
life. The teaching- learning activities include lecture, discussion, tutorial and case
presentation.

The aim of this unit course is to provide student with socio-anthropology knowledge
and skills to apply the trans-cultural decision – making processes to holistically and
effectively nursing care in various setting and various culture both locally, nationally and
internationally trans-cultures.

Description
This subject describe the principal, rule, and professional conduct based on moral
value focus on client’s right and dignity as human, code of ethic, professional ethic,

to solve the ethical dilemma and other profession as their responsibility and autonomy.
The focus of learning provides the experience to the students in exercising ethical
dilemma on decision making.

Description
This subject provides students with an understanding of the pharmacology of the
drugs used including pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetics, classification, risks, and
side effects of medicines. This subject also introduces the drugs used in the
management of clients in both clinical and community settings, related issues of the
drugs such as, accesses and delivery devices, quality control issues, and legislation.
This subject will enable students to develop educational materials for clients and
careers utilizing the knowledge they have gained. Lecturers, discussion, and
independent study are suggested to be utilized in the learning process.

Aim
The aim of this subject is to provide student with the knowledge and skills to apply
clinical decision-making in the education to clients related to the drug used both in the
clinical and community settings.
