 1. Steps for installation

Following steps should be followed for launching the exam:

  1. Open the URL (http://test.imtcdl.ac.in/assignment/) in browser 
  2. Click on “Launch Exam” button 
3. Follow the steps. Once successfully installed, you will get the login screen. 
 2. Issues & Resolutions

You may face some issues while launching the exam. Here are few of the known issues and 
there resolution.

2.1 Issue # 1 ‐ When clicking the “Launch Exam” button nothing happens.

2.1.1 Description:
When “Launch Exam” button is pressed, the page is refreshed but no action occurs

2.1.2 Cause:
.Net Framework is not installed on the machine.

2.1.3 Resolution:
Install the .Net Framework from the following URL: 

https://www.microsoft.com/en‐in/download/details.aspx?id=17718 

Please note you have to install .Net Framework 4 only.

2.2 Issue # 2 – Installation ends with error message

2.2.1 Description:
Installation ends with following error message:

“Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor.”

2.2.2 Cause:

2.2.2.1  Cause # 1
Antivirus is blocking the application from installing on your machine.

2.2.2.2 Resolution
  1. Disable the antivirus. 
  2. Close the browser 
  3. Open Chrome browser and type the exam URL 
  4. Click on “Launch Exam” button 
  5. This will download a “Setup.exe” file. 
  6. Go to the downloaded file Location. 
  7. Right click on the file and click on “Run as Administrator” 
8. This will install the exam app 

2.2.2.3  Cause # 2:
The app data of the current logged in user is corrupted.
2.2.2.4 Resolution

 
1. From the Start screen, click Desktop tile to view the desktop. 
2. On the desktop screen, press Windows + R keys simultaneously to initiate Run command box. 
3. In the available field in the Run command box, type COMPMGMT.MSC command and hit 
Enter key.
4. On Computer Management snap‐in, under System Tools category from the left pane, 
  double‐click to expand Local Users and Groups. 
  5. From the expanded list, right‐click Users. 
6. From the context menu that appears, click New User. 
7. On New User box, populate User name, Full name, Description, Password, and Confirm 
password fields with the desired values.

  8. Close the above window. 
  9. Right Click on the new user created and click on Properties 
  10. Go to Roles tab and click on Add.. 
  11. Chose the Administrator and click Apply. 
12. Now login with the new user and you should be able to Launch exam now.
