Topic: How many guns are in the United States? What does the Second Amendment say? Is the
United States gun homicide rate really that high? Are there countries with as many guns as the
United States but less crime? What is a semi-automatic gun? How often do gun owners actually
prevent crimes? How often are people killed by their own gun? Did the federal ban on assault
weapons affect crime? Do states with strict gun control laws have less gun violence? Has
American public opinion shifted on gun control? How are guns purchased and transferred in
America?

This article provided useful clarification to many of the specifics of gun control. The article
differentiates between the types of regulations that guns have seen from the constitution itself
and more specific regulations. The article also calls into questions the legality of gun control
laws over civil suits and other instances such as disturbing the peace or assault.

Much of my first essay dealt with gun control specifically in Australia and how they successfully
eradicated mass shootings with the implementation of some various gun control laws. This
article deals with similar gun control laws in Canada. The article deals with three different types
of gun control: "restrictive" gun policies, "punitive" gun policies, "lenient" gun policies .

This article explores the relationship between strictness of guns and the rising mass murder rate
in America. The article is reinforced by a study that shows over half of Americans are in favor
of stricter laws and that support only increases with the increase of mass shootings in the United
States.
