Proceedings of the 13th meeting of the Committee State Selection Board held at

11:30 AM on 13th November, 2015 under the Chairmanship of Director, Higher

Education, Odisha and President of the SSB in the office building of the SSB

At the outset the President, welcome the Vice-President, SSB, Dr. (Mrs.) Swati
Sucharita, who recently joined the post. Initiating the discussion, the Secretary, SSB
apprised the members of the committee about the recent development pertaining to the
advertisement with regard to filling up of 1625 teaching posts lying vacant in the Non-
Govt. Aided colleges of the State in different subjects of teaching.
After a detailed discussion the following resolutions were adopted.
1. Action taken report on the resolution of the last meeting was presented by the
Secretary, SSB and approved.
2. That, the Department of Higher Education be further requested to expedite the
process of recruitment of Office Assistants/Data Entry Operators &
Peons/Attendants for the smooth functioning of the SSB.
3. That, the Department of Higher Education be again requested to immediately
deploy/appoint an office assistant with accounts training, conversant with the
accounting for the smooth functioning of the SSB. In case of non-availability of
same in the Department, a suitable person from any government college may be
deployed for the purpose.
4. That, the Department of Higher Education be requested to expedite the process
of placement of funds, as estimated by the NIC, Bhubaneswar for processing of
Advertisement along with the development of on-line application format for the
purpose.
5. That, the advertisement along with the subject wise syllabus and sample
questions be given in the SSB Web-site for the prior information of the aspirant
candidates at the earliest with the stipulated Starting and closing dates of the on-
line application.
6. That, the President, SSB & the Director, Higher Education is requested to
finalise a date for the launching of the SSB Website and issue of said
advertisement in consultation with the Hon’ble Minister, Higher Education and
the Principal Secretary to the Government.
7. That the Secretary, SSB is authorized to initiate the process of confidential
assignments in consultation with the President, as and when necessary.
