LADY SMITH MAMBAZO

In this article, we are going to talk about Lady Smith Mambazo´s history. First, we
have to understand these band beginnings; they are an important South African
musician group. They became famous since the produced their album called
Graceland Album.
Joseph Shabalala a visionary farmer boy founded this musician group, when he
was looking for the name of the band he thought it was cool to represent their
culture by its name, for that reason they are called as they are.
He took this name from his hometown at KwaZulu Natal Province also at the
moment the say “black” at their name they makes reference to the stronger animal
at farms the oxen – says Mr.Shabalala.
They became famous since they recorded with Paul Simon also they recorded with
another artists like Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton, Sarah McLachlan, Josh Groban,
Emmylou Harris, Melissa Etheridge etc… In addition, their songs appear in too
much famous movies, for example in the, “el rey león” movie a film with a lot of
recognition around the world.
In conclusion, Lady Smith Mambazo are a band too talented and they must
continue with Mr.Shabalala´s legacy, Right now, he is retired but her sons are in
charge of it right now.
