We are the second largest franchisee in the world ( outside USA ) of
carbonates soft drinks (“CSDSs”) and non-carbonated beverages
(“NCBs”) sold under trademarks owned by PepsiCo and a key player
in the beverage industry. We produce and distribute a wide range of
CSDs as well as a large selection of NCBs, including packaged
drinking water. PepsiCo.

HISTORY OF THE VARUN BEVERAGES LTD.

Varun beverages . Ltd. Is situated in tehsil chhata of


Mathura district .pepsi has given VBL franchisee and
profit generated by the co. is totally
participated by itself

Earlier, Agra beverages Ltd. Was situated in the city


of taj, agra in 1970. It was set up for coca cola but due
to political movement coca cola went out of the
country. They started filling Limca double seven byb
10th April 1986 an the afterwards Parle products in
1991 the company started filling of pepsi brands. At
present Agra beverages Ltd. Is converted into varun
beverages Ltd. Established in march 1999, situated
in kosi kalan Mathura

Varun Beverages Ltd. Is a private limited company to


which franchise is given by pepsi Food Ltd. For
botting of the various pepsi brands. Managing
directors of th company is Mr. Ravi kumar jaipuriya
leading top businessmen (in shoft drink market) in
india.

activity) in the future . varun beverages define its
vision statement as followes :

• Strengths :-

i. varun beverages are frenchisee owned bottle of world's


most famous soft drinks gaint pepsico .
ii. varun beverages using state of the art and fully automatic
machines and technology for the product and bottling of
soft drink .
iii. it has a very strong distribution network and well build
market and currently holds almost all the part of the
state .

• Weakness :-

i. purity and quality of the products are estimated


mannually .
ii. promotion activities in the rural market are not up to the
mark as compaired to the urban market .
iii. more emphasis is given to the large dealers .
• Oppportunities :-

i. it should give more insentives to the dealers in the rural


areas , where there is a huge the market putential .
ii. the consumptions rate is higher in Mathura.
iii. As it is a international brand, it is easy to capture market.

• Threats:-

i. The entry of new local lemon flavor fruits juices .


ii. sprite is expending its market in rural area .
iii. the strong brand image and advertising style may harm
the sell in future .

• As we have been there ve have experienced and
gained the knowledge about the proper industry .
in books we acquire only theoritical knowledge but in
actual the pragmatic implimentation of the same can be
grasped only by visiting an industry which varun
beverage has provided to us .

practical way .
