Principle of operation
Two oscillatory masses are provided with
printed conductors carrying an alternating
current. As the two masses are in a con-
stant magnetic field, they are subject to a
(Lorentz) force which causes the masses Ω
to oscillate. Additional Coriolis forces act
on the masses if rotary motion is applied.
The resultant Coriolis acceleration is a
measure of the yaw rate. The linear accele-
ration values are recorded by a separate ac
