engines.
Especially if you consider the beginnings or precedents of some constituent elements of the engines,
essential for their operation as such.
Considered as complete and functional machines, and producers of mechanical energy, there are some
examples of engines before the nineteenth century.
we can found the firsts evidences of this emerging technology in the Han Dinasty in China, in
the Roman Empire or the Byzantinne Empire, between 200 BCE and the 9th century. Or
inventors like Al-Jazari in the 13th century or Leonardo Da Vinci.
In 1807 Swiss engineer François Isaac de Rivaz built an internal combustion engine
powered by a hydrogen and oxygen mixture, and ignited by electric spark. (See
1780s: Alessandro Volta above.)[8]
In 1823 : Samuel Brown patented the first internal combustion engine to be applied
industrially,
1838: A patent was granted to William Barnett, UK patent no. 7615 April 1838.
According to Dugald Clerk, this was the first recorded use of in-cylinder compression.[11]
1853–1857: Eugenio Barsanti and Felice Matteucci invented and patented an
engine using the free-piston principle in an atmospheric two cycle engine.[12][13]
1856 Pietro Benini realized a working prototype of the Italian engine supplying 5 HP.
1903. Los hermanos Orville (1871-1948) y Wilbur (1867-1912) realizan el primer vuelo
con motor con su Kitty Hawk que usa un motor de combustión interna
In the last years of the xix century an the begining o fthe xx, se hacen nuevas innovaciones
a los motoras ya esxistentes como Motor Wärtsilä or 2004: Hyper-X first scramjet to
maintain altitude
As everyone knows, and you as a mechanic better than anyone, the various economic,
oil and ecological crises have caused ups and downs in the industry that fortunately
has always found solutions and alternatives to move forward. This has caused much
experimentation that has resulted in the evolution of the engine with hybrid and electric
technologies to find a solution to the pollution of the planet, however the internal
combustion propellant continues to survive all this.
