solar power plant to the institutional and social sector
under MNRE solar subsidy scheme 2018-2019

Now institutions and social sector consumer can get the 30% subsidy in On-Grid(grid-tied) solar power
plant. Under this MNRE solar subsidy scheme consumer can avail the subsidy from Jharkhand govt.

Who can approach under MNRE solar subsidy scheme 2018-2019

Institutional School, colleges, Medical colleges, Health Club, Health Institute, Hospital,
educational Institute, universities, etc.
    

Charitable trust, Old Age Homes, community centers, Welfare Homes, Trust,
NGO, Voluntary Organization, Training Institutes, Orphanages, any centers or
Social Sector organization for common public welfare.

10% subsidy to the Commercial and industrial sector

under the MNRE solar subsidy scheme
If you have a business then you may avail 10% subsidy by the Jharkhand government under the MNRE solar
subsidy scheme. Total 10% subsidy only available for On-Grid Solar power Plant not for Hybrid or off-grid

If you are getting a subsidy by the government, why
should you install a solar power plant?
Regular Electricity supply in India is unreliable. Most cities of India do not have regular electricity supply.
Using diesel generator is also a little expensive. Even if you have regular electricity but due to the rising cost
of electricity bills you should plan to install a solar power plant.

The Jharkhand government is paying half of the cost so that consumers can install solar power plants at
their home. JREDA announce a 50 percent subsidy this year to the entire residential consumer.

Why the government of India encouraging to install a

solar power plant?
Central and state governments are encouraging power generation through solar energy. The program to
install Rooftop Solar power Plant on buildings of institutional areas is being widely implemented in the state
and the country. Now the residential user government is giving 50% subsidy to the on-grid solar power
plant.

Cost of thermal power production is high to provide subsidizes rate to the consumer. Let say, if power
production cost is 25-30 Rupees/Unit but we are getting electricity at 4-7 rupees. Thermal power is
expensive as compared to solar. This is why the government is offering subsidy in solar so that they can
minimize the thermal load.

JREDA solar power plant subsidy scheme in 2018-2019 to

the residential consumer
Earlier 2017-2018, total cost of the solar power plant was little high which was Rs.70000 and gone to 72000
per kilowatt but end of this year JREDA drop-down total cost of the solar power plant project which is
Rs.54300 now and on top of that residential user can also avail direct 50% subsidy in total cost of the
project. If you will install solar power plant though Jharkhand government scheme you will also get 5 Year
CMC totally free of cost. CMC (comprehensive maintenance contract) cost itself 2-5% of the total cost of the
project.

Under the Jharkhand Government scheme by the JREDA, you will avail 1 KW of solar power plant project in
just Rs.27150. Total cost would be 54300 where the consumer needs to pay only 27150 plus 5 year CMC

1. Do I get the subsidy in batteries to the solar power plant?

Ans. No, the subsidy is not available for batteries.

2. Can my local electrician install the subsidize solar power plant?

Ans. No, subsidize solar power plant only be installed by the approved channel partners or who has
authority to install solar power plant.

3. How many days will it take to get the subsidy in solar?

Ans. Once you submit all the necessary documents. Your local channel partner will let you know how much
time will it take to process to get the subsidy.

4. Are there any charges for the solar subsidy application?

Ans. There could be charge applicable Rs. 250/- for upto 50 kW/ 63 kVA Connected Load is paid to JBVNL and
Rs. 750/- for above 50 kW/ 63 kVA Connected Load. For the changes better you can contact your local
channel partners or call us will assist you.

5. Who are my local channel partners to install solar power plant?

6. What will happen when my CMC will over?

Ans: if your solar power plant capacity is less than 10KW it required my minimal maintenance. If you have
solar power plant is more than 10KW then it may require regular maintenance for good performance.  You
can go for AMC which may be somewhere around 2-5% of the total cost of the project. For charges, you may
contact to the solar service provider.
