“My Evaluation”

Seminar 2 for my second semester was quite interesting for there were vast knowledge,
teachings, and traditions that I have acquired in class, particularly the sacraments that we have
tackled during class. I imbued learnings of a Christian and have come to realize the long and
respected tradition of this cultures and practices that we come practice more often here in the
Philippines. I may generalize some of my understandings as I express my sincerest gratitude for
the teachings that I have gained during my Seminar 2 subject.

As a Christian, I have come to understand that there are practices and tradition that will
show how God still remains and continues to show his presence to all of us. Long time traditions
and practices as we usually practice every now and then, through the sacraments, as they are signs
which reveal to us the manifestation of God’s presence in each essence that we practice, how we
communicate and devote our faith, and how we continue to believe through practices of Jesus
Christ that has been handed down from generations to generations.

I come to understand that through Jesus Christ, he became our mediator with God, who
showed us the way through his practices and teachings. And through him, we continue to profess
our faith by embodying those teachings and continuing to manifest our Christianity with the
sacraments together with the Church, ministries, and everyone. As I come to understand why we
practice some traditions practiced by the church and by the people nowadays, I realized that these
were handed down by Jesus Christ, by apostolic succession so that the ministries can execute these
sacraments so that the people can receive them.

As I have come to understand the sacraments particularly the baptism, eucharist,

confirmation, reconciliation, anointing of the sick, marriage, and holy orders, that they focuses on
the celebration and ritual action of Christianity, as a priestly community by the baptismal
priesthood and ministers for the people to receive the chief effects of the sacramental effects the
holiness in human life. Each and every sacrament are unique as Jesus Christ showed them to the
people and practice by the minsters in different forms and matter with its own specific effects and
manifestations. I have also come to learn that there are limitations and restrictions that a sacrament
may be applied to certain persons who are baptize and exclusive to those who are only baptize
under the Roman Catholic, so that they can receive the sacraments.

I can apply what I have learned in Seminar 2, as a I continue to profess my faith and instill
in myself the virtues and learnings. I will continue to actively participate in the Church’s activities
and events. As I continue to learn, I will continue to imbued my learnings and never forget the
teachings. Praying, participating in Church’s festivities, and professing my Christian faith are the
things which I think will let me continue my learnings in my life.

As I come to evaluate Dom Pedro, I realized how his strict, yet interactive way of
communicating his teachings made a strong impact on my beliefs and understanding as a Christian
came to be. His way of teaching is educational and at the same time both interactive and stress
free. Wherein, everything comes so smoothly and empathic with virtues and a lot of learnings. He
may be strict, but we come to realize how important it was. He presented his teachings in simplistic
ways as for us to understand the true essence of what he is really pointing out and the principle
behind every topic he his trying to relay. It was very crucial for him to impose a strict attitude for
us to respect the subject and take this subject seriously. I thank him for his interactive lessons, his
strong and motivational teachings, and the vast learnings that I have come to understand Seminar
2.
