LESSON PLAN IN POLITICAL SCIENCE

I. Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

1. To identify the three different branches of Philippine Government.


2. To give value of the different functions of the three branches of the Philippine
Government.
3. Demonstrate the different functions of the three branches.

II. Subject Matter

A. Topic: The Philippine Government Structure and Powers


B. Reference: Government of the People; A study of Philippine Government and the 1987
Constitution
C. Hand-outs, Manila Paper, Cartoon Character, shapes

III. Procedures:
A1. Preliminary Activities
 Drill
 There are six cartoon characters that have words in the back which is related
to the three branches of the Government.
 Three students will identify the words in its corresponding branches.

1. Bugs Bunny – Senate


2. Winnie the Pooh -- President
3. Tweety Bird -- Head Chief Justice
4. Sylvester -- Congress
5. Lighting McQueen -- Cabinet Members
6. Sylvester -- Court of Appeals
 Motivation
 Five students will ask to look for the words in the following crossword
puzzle.
