The Non Smoking Gun...
After I had been sober for about 2 years I still felt unhappy and thought the
good life still just wasn’t for me and I started to feel a lot of pain again. I
made a decision and a promise to myself that I would never ever do drugs
again NO MATTER WHAT – it was not an option. I knew where that led,
and I was not about to go there again!

I wasn't really sure what to do. I worked very hard at all of the things the
counselors told me to do. I did everything I was supposed to, but I still had
that massive void in my life.

So one day, some friends and I were hanging out and they said, “Let’s go get
something to eat.” Any other day I would have gone but today I just said,
“No, I think I'm gonna stay here.” I was living in a room I rented from a
friend’s mom in her house (one of the many I bounced around from). After
my friends left I went upstairs in the master bedroom and sat on the bed. I
have no idea why I ended up there but I did.

I was just sitting there thinking about what the hell I was doing wrong in my
life and why I just couldn't seem to find some meaning, fulfillment and
happiness. I was so frustrated and scared that life was passing me by that I
started to cry. I put my hands on my head and dropped my head between my
legs and just sobbed.

When I opened my eyes I saw a .357 Magnum under the bed. It was fully
loaded with hollow point bullets.

Now, I'm not sure if you know what kind of damage a .357 hollow point can
do but when it hits, it's designed to spread apart so the exit hole it makes is
much larger then than entry hole. Not only that, but after the bullet expands
it has these razor sharp metal talons that slice and dice any and everything in
its path. It makes a real mess out of a person if it were to hit one.

I reached down and grabbed that gun and I thought to myself, "Man, I just
am not cut out for a happy and successful life and if I can't have a life that I
love, then why bother with life at all. I have been sober for 2 years now
working very hard to make my life better, and I still am not fulfilled. I am
not meant to live a happy life.

My family has cursed me until my death and I am not about to live 60 more
years like this! I can't. It is just too painful everyday."

So without even thinking I pulled back the hammer and stuck the cold barrel
of that loaded .357 in my mouth, my hands were trembling, and I was
sweating. The gun was shaking and hitting my teeth and it had a taste of gun
powder residue.

I closed my eyes real tight and slowly started to pull the trigger! I wasn't
sure if I would get through the entire motion before the gun would actually
fire or if I would get too scared and stop and then - CLICK! The hammer
dropped and the firing pin hit the primer. What happened? Why am I still
sitting here with a gun in my mouth shaking like crazy sweating rivers of
sweat, crying out of control and still breathing?

Oh my God! The bullet misfired! I threw the gun away from me and
scampered back until I hit the wall. I was shaking and crying again realizing
I just killed myself but I was still alive!

I felt like a terrified child lost in a busy mall at Christmas time and just
wanted someone, anyone, to hold me and tell me everything would be OK. I
was trembling out of control and crying like I had never cried before. My
breathing was very shallow and fast.

I was freaking out and I didn't know what to do so I got up and started
aimlessly walking.

I think I walked ten miles in a catatonic state oblivious to anything except


my own body and the buzz of energy inside of me before I calmed down
enough to think at all. I just cheated death… again! That was the day I killed
myself. Not the person who is writing this now but the person who never
thought he could write it. That guy died that day and this man was ready to
move forward.

From that point forward I went on a quest to search for the answers to all of
my questions no matter how long it took or how hard it got. I would NEVER
get to a point in my life where I let the pain and fear take over again!

I went on a massive personal development rampage and it took me 12 years

to really start to make some major breakthroughs. But I did it! I overcame
that stuff and I did make some amazing breakthroughs.

Today I have a very happy life with my 2 daughters and my amazing wife. I
have some incredible friends, outstanding health, and generally what a lot of
people consider an awesome life. But it was not always that way. Let me
back up a bit and share with you what led to this point and why it's relevant
to you.

I grew up in an environment where there wasn't a lot of love, support,


encouragement, or involvement with my family. But even with that entire
bundle of goodness there was even less money.

When I was a baby we lived in one spare bedroom in my grandparent's


house with me, my three sisters, and my Mom and Dad.

From the very moment I entered this world I was fighting to survie. When I
was born I wasn't breathing and almost died. I was a little blue baby boy that
looked like a smurf. The doctors had to rush me to the Newborn Intensive
Care Unit and stuff all kinds of tubes and devices in me just to keep me
alive.

Obviously I made it but not without a struggle and complications. I had


severe asthma and lung problems. My body and brain were not getting
enough oxygen because my lungs were so weak.

When my grandpa, my Dad's father, came to see his new grandson he was so
ashamed of my sickly little body that he told my Dad I was the sorriest
excuse for a boy he had ever seen and that if he brought me home (they lived
with my dad's parents) they were not welcome at his house!

I got a little better and was released from the hospital and my Dad did bring
me home. My grandparents gave my Dad, and all of us, the boot not long
after I was born so he needed to find a place to live where we would all fit.

We eventually moved into a stunning palace of pleasure in the projects in


California. It was a one room apartment with a bathroom made up of cinder
blocks and had a concrete floor with a slab of carpet over the top.

My parents didn't have a lot of money. In fact, we were so poor my parents

had to steal food from the convenience stores to feed us. How convenient is
that?

Well, over time we eventually upgraded ghetto pads and got to a run down
house by the highway in California somewhere. My Dad couldn't keep a job
because he drank too much and was a miserable wreck because he didn’t
want to be married to my Mom or have a family. I couldn’t go outside to
play because the air quality was too bad for me to breathe. My lung and
asthma problem were still running strong.

That and some other factors led to the decision to move to Utah of all places.
Anyway, the air was cleaner and my Dad joined the military to have a stable
income. He decided to stay with his family even though he was miserable
and wanted to bail. He just figured it would be easier that way. (His choice
was influenced by what you are going to learn in this manual)

He told me that story along with a lot of other tid-bits of joyful information
when I was older and I felt bad for him.

So back to moving to Utah… We still didn't have any money. My dad made
peanuts for income and he had four kids and a wife to support. So we were
not living the "good” life by any stretch of the imagination.

My sisters used to come home from school with food all over them because
the kids would throw their lunch on them and tease them mercilessly. I used
to have the “cool” kids call me over to hang out with them and when I would
go over there where all the pretty girls were and the “cool” crowd was, they
would always do something to hurt, humiliate, and embarrass me.

They would kick me in the stomach, spit in my face, rip my clothes, and
anything else they could do to screw with me. Not for any good reason but
only because we weren't wearing the right brand of jeans or shoes - basically
because we were poor.

But I wanted so badly to be accepted and be a part of that “life” I would


always go back when they called me over again. Every time I would leave
humiliated, hurt, embarrassed, and crying.

Our one and only attempt at a family vacation was my Dad getting a roll of
quarters for us kids to share at the local arcade/pool hall. I remember driving

there sooo excited because I was going to get to play pool with my Dad who
was my hero at the time. We were going to play pool and video games all
night long!

We all piled in the heap of rusted metal we called a car and my sisters
ducked down in embarrassment (I didn't know that I should be embarrassed
by the hunk of crap car we were in yet) and we headed out for the arcade.

It was about a 7 minute drive from our house. It was so cool to me. I was
beaming with happiness. We never did anything like this before. We turned
the corner and there was the flashing neon sign that said pool! We were
almost there and then about 100 feet from the parking lot the hunk of junk
car we were in broke down.

We were RIGHT THERE! I begged to just walk the rest of the way but to no
avail.

I won't bore you with all of the details but the end result is that we had to
give up our quarters so my dad could fix the car and we didn’t ever make it
to the pool hall / arcade. And we never made it back.

Life went on that way and some time passed, then I started to get a "chip on
my shoulder". I saw other kids and people doing fun things and having close
families. I saw other people having nice things and enjoying life. Why the
hell was I not able to have those things and have a close family and do all of
these fun things?

My conclusion was that these were the cards I was dealt, just the way it was
for me. Me and my family were the people in life that had to be poor and
miserable. If there were the rich and happy people that means there had to be
the poor and miserable people right?

So I tried to accept that was what I was. Even though deep down inside I
knew there had to be more, I could just feel it. But I guess it wasn't for me.

I ended up becoming a bitter, resentful, mean, angry, and confused young


boy and I made my way to something that took the pain away, drugs and
alcohol. I found out that if I smoked a cigarette or joint or pounded some
Vodka or Bacardi, all of the pain and lack in my life seemed to vanish for a
while. It was such a sigh of relief that at age 12 I started smoking, doing

drugs, and drinking to escape the pain.

Well soon I stopped caring about school and anything else for that matter. I
wanted to be numb all of the time, so I found (attracted) friends into my life
that supported that. Needless to say they were not the highest caliber of
people in the world but my daily choices (I did not know they were choices
then) led me to that life.

I was drunk or high everyday for a long time. In high school I had a friend
who conveniently worked graveyard shift at a local pharmacy as a janitor
part time after school. That was the jackpot man. At first he would get a
couple of things here and there until one day he scored big-time! He got a
HUGE bottle of Valium.

He loaded up a smaller bottle of them (about 50) and gave them to me the
next morning at school.

I didn't even ask what it was. I didn't care as long as it would change my
state and shut off how I was feeling. I just popped about 10 of those babies
in my mouth and let the healing begin. I remember as the day went on I
started to feel good so I took some more. By the end of the day I had taken
the entire bottle and somehow I rode my skateboard home (from what I am
told I was in the middle of the road the entire way, I don't remember going
home).

I passed out in my bed and, as they say, “stick a fork in me” I was done! My
friends came over to pick me up and they could not even get me to budge. I
was out cold! When I finally woke up I realized it was late in the morning
and I was late for school. Not that I cared, really, but I didn't want to be
home so I went to shower and told my Mom I was late but I was still going
to school.

She told me it was Saturday. Well I was quite shocked considering the day I
ate all the Valium was Wednesday! Holy crap I just lost 2 days of my life!
That kind of scared me. But it did not change anything… yet. I was pretty
much blitzed from 12 to almost 17.

So jump ahead about 6 months from then. I was sitting in my room listening
to some dark music thinking to myself "Screw this. Screw it all. I am not
meant to be happy, rich, successful, or any other good thing in this world.

And if this is what life is, I don't want anything to do with it." So I decided
to end all of the pain, emotional turmoil, and confusion once and for all.

I got a razor blade from my Dad’s tool box and decided I would slit my wrist
open and bleed out. (The only way I knew how to do it was from the
movies). I took a look around my room and at the soda cans overfilling with
cigarette butts, the drug pipes, the filth everywhere and I was ready. I stuck
that razor sharp point into my flesh and poked through a vein. At the very
exact second I was going to slice open my wrist something happened. A
stillness and peace flooded my body. I froze in my tracks and felt something
I had never felt before.

Then I heard (more like felt) something, not an audible sound but more like
a thought or a feeling telling me that this wasn't what my life was meant to
be and that I was more than I had experienced. That even though I didn't
“know” what love was or had never truly felt love without fear, that I was
experiencing it right now.

Then a powerful feeling flooded my heart. I wasn't sure what it was but this
thought / feeling said this is what love is, Mike, and you will experience so
much more of it through out your lifetime. (Looking back now the only
thing that compares to that feeling was the first time I held my little baby
girl, when she was born) You are a servant of people and you will find your
joy and love in that.

That part was already true. I was happiest when I was helping others. That
force was and has been my guidance my entire life. You can attach whatever
label to that force you feel comfortable with.

I started to cry like I had never cried before. It was from my heart and it was
deep. The trickle of the warm blood running down my hand brought me
back into the present reality and I took that blade out of my wrist and
patched myself up.

I decided right there that I would no longer accept this lifestyle. I was going
to find some meaning in my life and stop avoiding the person I truly was.

I called the local hospital rehab center 37 times and hung up 36 times. The
rehab counselors said they would interview me but my parents would have
to come because I was only 16 years old, and it was an adult rehab. So I

went upstairs to my Mom and told her I needed to go to drug rehab.

She got mad at me because I interrupted her QVC (home shopping channel)
and yelled at me to call my Dad and stop interrupting her T.V. Show!

So I called my Dad and told him I needed to go to rehab. He said, “You


don't need a fucking rehab quit being a pussy.” So I went back to my Mom. I
told her my Dad said to take me to the hospital.

She didn't have a clue or enough ambition to talk to him about it anyway so I
did what I had to do to get there. She did not have a license or a car so I
drove us to the hospital checked myself into drug rehab and had her sign the
papers.

I got sober, cleaned up, and I had a bunch of powerful, cool, and some weird
experiences through out the process.

This is a very quick overview of my life leading to this point.

The point of all this is to let you know that I grew up in what some would
consider a hostile environment surrounded by lack, fear, anger, resentment,
poverty, and victim mentality. Most of the problem was in my own mind. It
was my perspectives and how I viewed things that made them so bad for me.
I had some real challenges that I had to overcome and I did.

Using these 11 principles in this course I have created a wonderful,


meaningful life full of love, happiness, and joy and I've built the most
valuable asset any person can have, a strong set of mental and emotional
muscles.

Again I won't bore you with all of the details, but today I have a wonderful
life, I've been happily married to my best friend for 9 years at the time of
writing this. I have 2 great daughters. I'm in great physical shape. I have a
fantastic group of amazing friends. I'm pursuing and living my dreams more
and more everyday.

I'm helping others reach their full potential. I'm more in touch with my
spirituality than ever before. I realize my potential and purpose vs. wanting
to die because I had no sense of purpose. I'm operating out of courage and
inspiration instead of letting fear run my life. I went from having miserable

parents who hated being married to being happily married for almost nine
years and becoming a pretty damn good Dad to my girls. My wife is my best
friend and I am hers.

I went from being beat up and teased for being poor to a life where my kids
will never have any idea of what that even means. I went from having a lack
mentality to building a prosperity based mentality. I went from 3 time high
school drop out to being on the University High Honor Roll and being
recognized in the National Dean’s List Publication.

I went from being a victim to being a victor!

I've excelled in life in a lot of areas. I've overcome a lot of difficult events
successfully. But I am really no different than anyone else. I put my pants on
the same as you do. I have mornings where I would rather lie in bed than try
to take on life that day. My light bulbs burn out and need to be replaced.

My laundry has to get done. I'm just a normal guy but I care about people
and I want you to have the very best life you can. I want all of your dreams
to come true. I want you to radiate with happiness and joy. I am just a guy
but I am a guy who cares about you and the results you get in your life.

Some people ask why me why I would care about people I don’t even know?
And I say even if I have never met them, I know enough to know that they
are a special and unique person who has the ability to change the world in a
way that only they can. Because I have experienced others do the same thing
for me.

And if they never get that chance or learn that truth the world will miss out
on their greatness and they will miss out on the world.

Then I ask them who would you rather spend time with: people who buried
their dreams and greatness or people who live their dreams and highest
potential?

The answer is obvious, so why not do all you can to help “unlock” that
dream, release that potential and fill the world with the people you want to
be around?

You're already there- you just need a map and a lighted path. That is what

these principles are for, to light your path.
Obviously I am still alive today and I am enjoying life.
You probably have an OK life. I mean it is not the end all of where you want
to be but you do alright. But chances are you also have this burning acid-like
pit in your heart just tearing at you silently every day because you know
there is more for you.

Sure on the outside everything looks great and other people’s perception of
you is probably pretty good, but you know better. Even though your life is
not a horrible train wreck, you are secretly living in frustration every day.

The only thing that really keeps you moving forward is a dream you once
had that you have not let die. That dream that you are quietly holding onto,
hoping almost in desperation that it will one day jump out of your head and
become a reality for you.

Maybe your dream was to become an author or a pilot. Maybe you wanted to
invent the next concept car for GM. Maybe you wanted to build an Internet
empire and have sacks of money shipped to your mansion on the beach
every day.

But you have to be careful right? If you lose that dream there is no telling
what might happen to you. You've been guarding it and protecting it for so
long that it has become a way of life to settle for a life of mediocrity just to
protect your dream.

So let me ask you a question? What good is that dream doing you now?
How much happiness is that dream providing you buried away in a safe Fort
Knox-like vault in your mind?

You came up with that dream for a reason once right? Why else would you
have it? And more importantly what is holding you back from making your
dream a reality?

I can already hear you saying, “I don’t have the time or the money or the
knowledge, or the connections, or the blah blah blah…” GIVE ME A
BREAK!

Did you know that you have all you need right now? You may have heard

that before but I really mean it. It is true and that is what these 11 principles
are all about. Lighting the darkness so you can see your path and see what
you have NOW!

The reality is you do know what to do, EXACTLY what to do!

The reality is there are things holding you back that you just cannot seem to
identify no matter how hard you have tried and believe me if you are
anything like me I KNOW you have tried!

Do you want to know why you procrastinate? Do you want to know why
you have no self confidence when it comes to your dream? Do you want to
know why you have little or no self discipline when it comes to your dream?

Better yet, do you want to know how to eliminate ALL of the obstacles that
are stopping you from watching your dream transform into a reality?

Well it is finally time to stop living your dream in your mind and start living
it in real life!

Look, I have been through a lot in my life and I survived a lot. I have learned
what works and what is just a waste of time through real world experience.
But I think most importantly, I have mastered this cycle. I have learned how
to take action, follow through to achieve my desired results, and maintain
those results for a long, long period of time at whatever level I choose.

When you read a marketing book or program, go to a marriage seminar,


attend a financial freedom workshop, anything you do from this point
forward, you will learn the technique to apply that information into your life
and maintain the results at whatever level you want just by applying one of
these principles in your life. Not only that, I will show you how to kick it up
a notch or two whenever you want!
Don’t let yourself get “trapped” into this holding pattern of coasting through
life just accepting things as they are because it is “easier and safer”.
When you think about it honestly, It's not easier or safer at all. It's much
harder to live with a pit of unhappiness in your gut than live with utter joy.
It's much more difficult to live a life of mediocrity and scarcity than one of
fulfillment and abundance.

Let me tell you one more story. This one is about my Dad. When I was 23
my Dad got cancer at age 53. It was inoperable and he was given 3 months
to live.
After about 4 months it really started to take over and you could see the
sickness inside of him. His eyes started to sink into his head; his body
weight dropped to next to nothing, the bones in his shoulders looked like
they had no skin on them at all. His calves and stomach were bloated and so
full of retained water and cancer that the pressure got so great they started to
split open!
It was the most horrible experience I have ever been through in my life. We
were talking one day and he just started to cry. He told me that he was sorry.
He told me how much he loved me and how proud he was of me and that he
wished he would have told me that when I was kid growing up.
We were both crying now and he said, “Mike, I had a goldmine with you
and I just pissed it all away. I want to see you grow up and become a better
father than me. I want to play with my grandkids. I want to sneak them a
piece of candy when you are not looking. I want to have more time to be
proud of my son who I never appreciated and show him that I love him. I
want to make up for all the shitty things I've done and all of the things I
didn’t do that I should have. I didn’t appreciate what I had with you and now
it is too late. My entire life was a waste and there is nothing I can do about it
now.” And with a sobbing shaky voice his very last words to me were, “I’m
sorry Mike.”
That was the last thing he ever said to me. He died the next day. What a way
to go. Your last thoughts are that you wasted your entire life!
If you don’t take an honest look at yourself now you could coast through life
and before you know it you could end up like my Dad and not have the time
to make the choices in your life that you truly want to.

homelessness, and botched suicide attempts to having a loving marriage, a
wonderful family, outstanding health, and incredible friends!

Keep in mind that I have an expectation from you also! My expectation from
you is to find something in this course that “wakes you up” so to speak,
something that opens a door that you have long forgotten about. A spark that
lights a burning fire to light the path you were meant to travel so bright, that
it cannot be ignored. I truly believe there is an abundance of tools and gems
of inspiration contained inside these 11 principles to do just that. In fact, I
know that there are more tools and gems of inspiration hidden inside these
11 principles than even I am aware of!

The greatest gift in life any of us have is each other. In order to become all
that you can, you have to give all that you are. Part of how you do that is
through verbal communication. Sharing your experiences throughout your
life with others.

Although words are only part of the way you communicate with other
people verbal communication is probably the most commonly used method
of communication today. (Well, maybe email has taken over but they are
still words you communicate with)

Words are how you communicate and decide what it is you want and don’t
want. You use words to communicate with your friends, parents, children,
teachers, students, pets, and most importantly, yourself.

There have been some completely mind boggling studies and research done
on words and the power they hold inside of them. There is an enormous
physical power and energy within the words you use that most people are
unaware of and that is part of what you are going to learn with this
interactive course.

Words have meanings and energy that you attach to them. That meaning
gives them the charge they have to trigger feelings and emotions.

Your words are an extension of your thoughts and your thoughts form your
belief systems. Your beliefs are a very big aspect of who you are, what you
do, the quality of life you live, and the people you surround yourself with.
Really, any and every thing in your life is an extension of your thoughts or
belief systems.

Your belief systems then usually become a standard or set of rules in which
you govern your life and daily actions. This, in turn, creates your physical
experience and your perception of reality. The result is usually an opinion or
perception that defines in your mind, who you are. It is your story about
your life. True or False become what you choose.

Other people also influence you in different ways and to varying degrees but
you ultimately are the one who anchors a belief to yourself. However, most
of us did not deliberately create our beliefs. We just picked them up along
the way.

There are all kinds of outside influences to mold and shape your belief
systems. The media, your friends, your family, your religion, the books you
read, and advertising are just a few things that influence you every day.

I am not saying any of these things are good or bad, just that they are. Now

it’s time to take a look at that and see what serves you and what doesn’t.

It would be fairly safe to assume that who you are is a combination of your
thoughts, the words you use, your perceptions, your feelings and emotions,
your beliefs, and the meanings you attach to certain aspects of life. Would
you agree?

So then here is the next question. Can you change your thoughts? Can you
change your words? Can you change your feelings? Can you change your
beliefs even though it can be difficult? Can you change the meaning and
perception you place on things in your life? Can you change yourself into
something you desire more, whatever that thing might be?

The answer to all of those questions is yes! And when you do you create a
new experience in your life. You can re-define “who you are” every day,
every hour, every minute, and even every second if you want to.

You can customize your life so to speak to create and allow only things that
serve you in achieving your desires that make you feel good, peaceful, and
happy into your life.

You have the ability to have everything you want in life right now. You do
not need to learn any new skills that you don’t already know. You do not
need to dig up old junk from your past to get over before you can move
on.

You do not need to have your life or yourself approved by anyone else. You
only need to have the desire to strive to live in the next level of your life.

You already have all of the “skills” you need. You were born with
them. We were all born with them but over time you have forgotten that you
have these skills and you stop using them. You were “trained” to stop using
them. The skills and tools I am talking about are emotional and mental
“muscles”.

It is the same as getting a six pack of ripped up abdominal muscles.


Everyone, no matter how fat or out of shape, has a six pack of abdominal
muscles, but there is just too much fat covering up the muscles to see that
they are there. But with a little desire, a little work, and some small changes
in habits you’re certain to burn through the fat and see those strong, sexy,

defined abdominal muscles again!

The same goes for the mental and emotional muscles you already have. They
have always been there but there is just too much mental and emotional “fat”
hiding them.

Just as with physical muscle, with a little desire, a little effort, and a little
change in un-serving habits you can and you will build a strong ripped up set
of mental and emotional muscles, the muscles that control your happiness,
peace, joy and success!

I can tell you this much, I have gained A LOT of fat in my life! Not only
emotional and mental “fat” but also physical fat. I have also been able to
successfully “burn” it off in all areas of my life.

Physically I used to be a big fat 50 pounds over weight! Emotionally I used


to be a repellent for good, strong, loving, healthy relationships. Mentally,
well I won’t even go there. That could be an entire book all in itself! And
spiritually, I was a very confused lost soul. I am not religious for my own
reasons but I certainly believe in spirituality.

The point I am trying to make is no matter whom I have talked to or what


they said, I have never, ever, ever had a magic cure, miracle course, or
mystic snake oil work for me to magically obtain my desires in some
unrealistic amount of time. Nor have I heard of this from anyone else.

I have been successful in everything I have done in my life but it is a


process. I am not saying it takes a long time to get amazing results because it
doesn’t but you cannot go to the gym being 50 pounds over weight and work
out for 15 minutes then expect some miraculous metamorphosis to take
place! If that is what you are looking for you won’t find it here. (If you do
find it let me know!)

Imagine yourself walking down your path in your life. Picture yourself
strolling along the way when all of the sudden, out of the blue you come up
to a giant 4,000 foot cliff and a canyon 500 feet across! You cannot continue
down your path without getting across the canyon!

Oh crap! Now what?

Well now you have to get across that canyon! After extensive study and
investigation you decide the only way to get across it is to walk across a
bridge. So you read books and take courses to learn how to walk across
bridges and get motivated to cross this canyon.

Some of the courses and books I have studied just say believe you can cross
it, see yourself crossing the canyon, and picture yourself on the other side!
This is good advice but there is more to it than that.

Now these authors have a valid point when teaching those principals, and
they certainly support the process and add power to your efforts. I fully
utilize the power of those principles and teach them, but you live in a
physical world and they are only part of the solution.

The point is you need a bridge. You cannot step out onto the air and expect
not to fall. There is this cool force in the world called gravity that works
every time.

But where is this bridge going to come from? You’re not a bridge builder!
But there is no one else to build it. So you have a choice to make. You can
call that the end of the road for you and consider your growth and journey
done or you can find a way to cross that canyon and continue to experience
wonderful new things in your life.

This is where it gets scary and where most people stop moving forward. It’s
because you look across this canyon and see this huge gaping hole of death!
You think there is no way I can make it way across that thing.

It is because you are looking 500 feet across and 4,000 feet down and that’s
all you see. Your mind is frantically trying to figure out how to lay a 500
foot bridge across this canyon.

So you think about what you learned from the books and courses and focus
on getting across, and you visualize yourself on the other side, and you
believe you can be across! But when you open your eyes you are right where
you started. The magic did not work!

Because it is only half of the solution. The law of duality states you have an
inner and outer world. You have to merge the two and then the magic works
beautifully!

Building a bridge that big is just too hard and seemingly impossible so you
get discouraged and settle for what you have. Just thinking positive thoughts
and affirming you can do it won’t get you to the other side.

But when you use those thoughts and that power you have within you, the
means to get across the canyon start magically appearing in your life! Then
you use your inner tools some more and the outer tools of how to get across
keep coming into your life faster and faster.

You continue this process and one day, before you even realize what
happened, you’re standing on the other side of that canyon with a huge smile
on your face and beaming with pride and confidence!

It is a process. Not an all-at-once thing! This applies to everything in life.

The actual reward was in the journey and experience, not on the other side of
the canyon.

Would you agree that it is easier to move a 1 pound pebble than it is to move
a 40,000 pound boulder? Of course it is. And would you even ever try to
move that 40,000 pound boulder if I asked you to? I doubt it.

What if I showed you where to get tools and how to use them and showed
you the best way to break apart the boulder into little one pound pebbles?

If I asked you to move that little bitty 1 pound pebble would you? Could
you? Of course you could. And after moving a series of 1 pound pebbles for
about a week you might say something like, “This is getting too easy and
boring let’s shoot for the 2 pounders”.

It is a progressive process that you get better and better at and stronger and
stronger at the more you do it. You start to develop “muscle” and burn the
“fat”. Most people want the entire bridge from where they’re at now to
where they are going to be delivered to them in one giant piece!

That is not how it works. The only way to move forward is to build the
bridge or clear the path as you go. At first you usually are not very efficient
at doing it. You have to learn as you go but the more you do the better you
become and the better you become the more you can do. By the time you are

at the end of that boulder or bridge you are an expert and you make it look
easy to some one just approaching it.

You know all of the tricks and where to find the tools and how to use them
with ease. You know where to find all of the materials you need to create
everything you need! And pretty soon people are hiring you for advice and
training on how to use tools, where to find maps of where all the recourses
are, and even to help them physically build the bridge!

You started out at the beginning looking across this enormous canyon not
having a clue about anything but now you are across it and you have more
wisdom, strength, and knowledge than you had before you came up to this
obstacle in your life. You did it in a process, one piece at a time and you can
travel freely back and forth along that part of your path now.

That means you can go back and show people how you did it! What do you
think they see when they first encounter a 4,000 foot cliff and a 500 foot
canyon? An impossible task? What do you see when you look at it now
having already crossed it yourself?

Do you understand? It is a process and the more you do the more you can
do. I did not lose fifty pounds of unhealthy ugly body fat in one day! But I
did lose it one day at a time. I made some small, simple adjustments to my
life and when they got easy I made some more small and simple adjustments
to my life again until one day I woke up and I looked like a 19 year old
college football player!

Tiny, simple changes in your daily life will produce ENORMOUS results!

Remember I asked you if you would try moving a 40,000 pound boulder?
Well that is what a lot of these huge complex programs are about. It is
almost like they are trying to deliver the entire bridge from where you are
now to where you want to be in one giant piece!

That is a good intention but that is not the way it works. The bridge has to be
built one piece at a time while you are crossing it.

You cannot move a giant 40,000 pound boulder in one piece.

But unfortunately most people will push and push and push and push against
a 40,000 pound boulder with all of their might, all of their heart, and all of
their effort but never budge it one inch!

They may have gotten a little stronger from all of the exercise they got
pushing the boulder but they walk away discouraged because they did not
move the boulder or in other words, they did not obtain the results they were
after. I have had my fair share of that scenario also, believe me.

So they walk away from the boulder discouraged and feeling like they have
failed and been defeated never realizing the knowledge, strength, and
experience they have gained.

It’s the overpowering feeling of defeat and failure they walk away with, not
the recognition that they gained some experience, strength or knowledge
from their efforts.

All they can see is they were unable to move the 40,000 pound boulder. And
sadly that is where most people stop. It becomes too hard and seemingly
impossible to achieve their desires because the only instructions are “Move
this 40,000 pound boulder to get what you desire.”

In my experience, it took an entirely different approach in order for me to


have success in my life.

Look at it this way, each principle within this course is designed to be a


bucket full of one pound pebbles, not a 40,000 pound boulder.

So keep in mind as you go through this, you should go back to EVERY


principle in this course as many times as it takes until you have moved

Principle 1-Everything is energy and you control
yours...

Would you agree that everything has to be something? In order for a thing
to BE it must be something, right? That leaves the question, what is everything
made of?

What about things you cannot see?

For example, electricity, cell phone communications, radio waves. I cannot see
any of them but I know that they exist. I use them everyday. If you take a signal
level meter that is tuned to a certain frequency you can see the characteristics of
the radio waves but you still cannot see the wave itself. Or a radio tuned to pick up
a certain frequency will pick up the sound that is riding on the wave of that
frequency.

More examples would be things like your cable TV signal or your satellite dish
signal. You cannot see them in the air but they certainly produce something that
most people can’t live without. Reality T.V.!

Would you agree that even things you cannot see must be something? Our senses
are really limited when it comes to all of the energies out there. We can only see a
certain amount of light, hear up to and down to certain sounds, and feel limited
vibrations in our bodies.

What about things that are visible but not to the naked eye? Have you ever had a
cold? Can you see these crazy things like viruses that make you sick? You know
they have changed your body by how you feel but you cannot see them unless you
look through a very powerful magnifying device like a microscope. But they have
to BE something right, or how could they physically change how you feel.

Do you think that these kinds of energies are out there? And even though you
cannot see them they are still something right? There have been many scientific
studies done, by people a lot smarter than me, that produced evidence that support
the fact that everything is something.

That if you keep going deeper and deeper into a thing you ultimately end up with

pure energy. Everything is made up of energy. The things you can see, the things
you cannot see, and even you are energy!

I have done hundreds of hours of study myself on this and from my experience
and perspective, everything is something and that thing is energy. Lucky for me all
those smart physicists come to the same conclusion.

So aside from all of my research, it has been scientifically proven that everything
is something and that thing is energy!

What about an idea? How about a thought? Are these things something also? Well
they are part of everything so the obvious answer would be yes. And that means
that ultimately they are energy also, similar to a radio wave.

So why is it so important to be aware of the fact that everything is energy?


Because that knowledge alone has the power to change your life at any given
moment you decide you want it changed! It has the power to enhance your life
RIGHT NOW but only if you know how to apply that knowledge correctly.

You are going to be learning a very simple and extremely powerful exercise you
can do anytime you need or want to. It is so powerful that it literally changes the
cells in your body but so amazingly simple that a 4 year old can do it perfectly!

This exercise is something that you must actually DO to experience it. You will
get to see it and experience it through this course but it has a much more powerful
effect when you participate in a LIVE workshop with all of the energy of the other
people.

I encourage you to do this exercise at home with some other people. (Kids are
great and very easy to do this with. Plus they make it incredibly fun!) In fact, I
encourage you to do it every second you have a chance to.
To lead you into what the exercise is I am going to share with you a story. A
statement one of my mentors said once was that the highest energy wins,
PERIOD! Everything is energy and the highest energy wins, PERIOD!

There are many powerful illustrations of how this exercise changes lives but the
most obvious and easy arena to observe it in is sports. Of the many stories and
examples of this principle being put into full effect I find it is easiest to observe it
in kids. Not only my own kids but other peoples kids as well.

Kids just seem to have a knack for doing this exercise. Maybe because it’s FUN!
Let yourself have fun with this and watch the instant transformation take place in
your life.

Like I said, I think it is best illustrated through kids. That is why I am sharing this
story with you. I read a story about this of kids playing soccer so I tried it on the
girls at dance class.
Having kids of my own I gives me more than a few opportunities to observe this
principle. Not only do I get to teach lessons but learn them as well.
Every now and then a challenge comes up with the kids that provides an
opportunity to deliver a life lesson. Kids will pay attention to you for about 2.7
seconds so it has to be fast, fun, and entertaining if the lesson is going to be
successful.
My daughter was complaining and whining about how she never got picked to get
the best dancer award at dance lessons. So one day as I was observing her in dance
class I noticed my daughter not following the class. She was just kind of moping
around and acting sad and only putting in a 30% effort.
The dance teacher had to ask her to pick it up. That my daughter had made it
harder for her and the rest of the class. I was not sure what to do. I had tried to talk
to her and coach her but nothing seemed to be working.
My daughter would say a particular person would always get the award instead of
her. She accused her of being the “favorite” student in the class.
Since I know that most of the time when you look outside of yourself for an
excuse or reason and blame someone else for your problems in life it is just a
reflection of yourself, I decided to watch this other girl.
So I watched that girl dance and man she would just tear it up. She did not dance
any better than the rest of the kids but she was great and full of energy.
Then it dawned on me, highest energy wins. I got it but I was not quite sure how to
deliver this message to the girls. This one particular girl was not doing anything
any better she just had higher energy at dance class.
That weekend the girls had a sleepover at my house. As I patiently observed the
girls playing and dancing and laughing I thought to myself, “Energy is definitely
NOT a problem here!” WOW.
Have you ever noticed that some of the people in your life always have great
things happen to them while some others never have anything good come into
their life? Why do you think that is? Because they have no energy!
So we played a game I learned from one of my mentors. I had the girls all get in
the living room and sit down for a second. (That took me 25 minutes) Finally, they
were all there and calm enough to listen.

I asked them who would like to get the best dancer award at next dance practice.
They all raised their hands. OK who will listen to me if I will show you how to get
it? Then someone said that “Mary” always gets it. I know that and that is why I am
asking if YOU would like to get it.
I had their attention now and had them all stand up. I said as you do this exercise
look around and decide what person you would pick for your dance partner if you
only could pick one.
As I said the attention span was not very long the girls were already starting to get
restless.
OK it is time to do your very best dance move with every ounce of energy you
have! Well any kid with an invitation to act crazy is going jump all over it so they
all immediately started jumping, flipping, and spinning around with eyeballs wide
open and intense.
Next they were told to be medium energy. They kind of lurped around, clowning
and laughing.
Next was low energy! They started rolling on the floor, shuffling, heads down
moaning and groaning.
Finally it was NO energy! They all immediately fell to the ground playing dead.
(Aside from all of the giggles and wiggles they could not control)
Then I asked them a simple question "Would any of you ever choose someone
who looked like that to get the best dancer award?" They all said "NO!" But not
only did they say no they all got serious for a minute. They got it! They
understood how to win!
That's the point! If you want to win the prize, if you want to have that relationship,
if you want to become that healthy person, if you want a better job, if you want
more money, you have to give maximum energy. Ask yourself what your energy
is like and who would choose you based upon it.
The next dance practice was amazing! They about blew the windows out of that
place. They looked like professional show dancers. Kids who had ability but had
never showed up, became super stars. My daughter won the best dancer award for
that practice and all of them were smiling, very happy, and had a ton of fun that
night.
They were sweaty and breathing hard and a little tired but they said they had more
fun at dance that night than any other night before.
Why? Because they were accountable to themselves. They knew they controlled

their energy and no one else. This is an awesome illustration of how powerful this
exercise is. I had the kids become aware of what their own energy was like. In
doing that they became accountable for their outcome and results.
It has become an ever increasing habit in my kids lives and all I can say is the
miracles never stop. They still complain and whine and gripe about things like
kids do but the difference is they realize they have complete control now if they
want something in their lives to change and they know how to do it. If they want
it, they know that they have to get it by raising their energy and most important
their expectation!
Unconsciously you sense energy around you like other players, team members,
and court boundaries.
Have you ever watched John Stockton play basketball, and wondered how he
made some of the passes that he made? How could he see the split second opening
to pass the ball to an open team mate? He leads the league in assists. How?
Because he could sense the energy, intention, and the focus of his teammates, and
because he demanded that energy from them.
People give you awards, do business with you, pay you money, buy your stuff and
want a relationship with you if they are attracted toward you.

If your energy is up, you get noticed, you become attractive and the money,
success, energy, and happiness flow toward you. If you are dormant, comatose,
low on energy and spend your time waiting for something to happen, not only will
you not be noticed, but if you are, who would want to have any kind of a
relationship with you?

A lady from one of my seminars who did not like her job decided to use this
technique to make her feel better at work. She did this one exercise and the next
day out of the blue, her boss asked her to come into his office. He said he noticed
her the day before and was very impressed with her. (He never could say what he
was impressed with but only that he was impressed) Then he offered her a
promotion on the spot! There are so many stories like this, I count them all.
What is your energy like? Are you even aware of it? Do you wish that other
people would notice you more? Do you feel resentful and angry that you aren't
getting what you deserve? If you do, try a new approach. Increase your energy and
expectations and watch what happens in your life.
Remember: Highest Energy Wins!
If a group of girls in dance class can get the kind of instant and powerful change in
their entire dance team by raising their energy and expectations, imagine what you
can do?

What is your energy like? Do you want to win? Highest energy wins, now let’s
look at how and why that is the case.
Let me explain why this exercise is so important. First, let’s talk about physiology.
Simply put, physiology is your physical presence, actions, motions, facial
expression, and body language, basically anything that is physical about you.
For example, when you are depressed or “down” your body is down. It is slumped
over, with a droopy face, shoulders are down, eyes are looking down, and you get
the point. That’s why they call it being down!
You can instantly change that emotional state by changing your physiology. Your
physical energy can change your non-physical energy like emotions, and thoughts.
I do this with my kids all the time and it works so elegantly.
When my little girl is sad or upset, I tell her to put her hands high in the air above
her head, look up at the sky, open her eyes as big as she can, and then wave her
arms around and try to grab the clouds. Spin in circles, jump up and down and
really try to get bigger so she can reach all the way up in the sky!
It takes about 3 seconds and she is smiling and laughing and dancing around. You
can, without question, notice the HUGE difference in her immediately. It is like
she is a new person almost instantly. Her body picks up, her eyes fill with playful
love and happiness, her little giggle radiates with joy. Her smile could light up Las
Vegas for a week with all of the energy coming from it. It truly is nothing short of
amazing.
When I ask her why she was upset most of the time she cannot even remember! It
is that powerful!
I do it myself all the time. It is simply a choice. When you change your physiology
you change your psychology. When I walk into a room where I feel a bit
uncomfortable I stretch my arms out as far as I can, take a HUGE breath and hold
it for a few seconds, open my legs a bit and just get as big as I can. I cultivate a
powerful physical posture. When I am done I feel completely different and my
energy is a lot higher.
I don’t go flailing about like a lunatic (that is why we adults aren’t as good as kids
at this exercise, kids don’t care what they look like for the most part but we do) I
just subtly shift my body. I stand more powerful, my facial expression is more
open, my shoulders are back and so on.
I change my physical state and that instantly changes my psychological and
emotional state.
It seems simple because IT IS! Simple works, always. There are more complicated

things going on inside your body but the end result is you feel better and you have
higher energy. And your mind is in a more powerful state.
In other words when you change your physical energy it changes your non-
physical energy, your psychology. Your psychology is your thoughts, belief
systems, and meanings you attach to the events in your life.
This actually changes you at a cellular level. Your body produces different
chemicals and your cells actually change. We will get into this in a lot more detail
later but for now I just want you to know how powerful a tool you just learned.
Are you starting to see the power this has?
Pay close attention to how you feel before, during, and after this exercise.
Throughout this and all of the exercises in this course there are sections for taking
notes. If you have a new distinction, a perspective shift or anything that you want
to write down and record, do it.
This is about you and for you. The only rules for these exercises are that you do
them however they suit you. There is no right or wrong way to do them. You just
do them.
Don’t get hung up on if you’re doing something correctly because you cannot do it
incorrectly. It does not have to make any sense or have any meaning to anyone but
you.
The most important part is let go of all the “rules” while you are doing this and
have fun!

You now have the knowledge, tools, and ability to change yourself on a cellular
level. From your brain to your big toe! From the inside out. And if you did the
exercise, you have the experience of feeling the shift.
So remember: Highest Energy Wins. Ask yourself frequently through out every
day, “What is my energy like right now?” Take a look and see what is going on
within you and around you and the results you’re getting or not getting. You now
have the power to instantly change your results whenever you choose to do so.
As you work through this course and learn the principles and do the exercises you
will gain a powerful arsenal of tools that support and build on each other. Each
principle can be used independent of any of the others to gain huge success in your
life, but when you combine them together you have what I consider the most
powerful life changing system you will ever possess.

So learn each principle at whatever level you are currently and apply it in your life
accordingly, but realize also that each one has an amazing power in and of itself.

Principle 1: Everything is Energy and YOU control yours.


Actions you can do to instantly change your emotional state:

1. Raise your physical energy level. Jump up and down. Open your eyes as big
as you can then do it even bigger. Skip a few steps while you’re walking.
Stretch your arms out as big as you can. Be as big as you can be. Pay
attention to how you feel while doing this, you will be amazed at what you
can do in a few seconds! You can also learn some cool breathing techniques
that work awesome to raise your energy.

2. Use your outer world and influences to raise your energy level. Crank up
some fun music. Watch something funny. Play with a pet or animal. Call
someone who loves you. Call someone you love. Play a sport you like. Let
go of judgment and inhibitions.

You can put whatever you want in here. As long as you are raising your energy
you will raise your emotional and psychological state. So do whatever fits for you
but for heck’s sake DO SOMETHING if you need to!

Principle 2 - The Law of Contrast & Duality

The reason the law of duality is important to understand is two fold. First, you
need to understand that just as you have an outer world, you also have an inner
world. Your inner energy systems and functions are very real and powerful.
Second, have you ever heard the saying: within every problem lies the solution?
That is 100% true and explained by the law of duality.

Think about it for a minute. Without the problem, the solution could not even
exist! The problem itself gives birth to the solution. You will learn how to find the
solution in every single perceived problem in your life by looking within that
problem, but for now only focus on the fact that without the problem there is no
solution.

Have you ever heard of or seen the yin and yang symbol? The yin and yang
symbol represents the law of duality which governs the world we live in.

Can you think of an example of duality? Black and white. Up and down. Left and
right. What are the common characteristics of all of these things?

One cannot exist as what it is without the other. Think about driving a car. We all
have driven or at least ridden in a car. Very simple duality is in full effect here on
a number of levels.

First you have to open the door because the door is closed. Then you close the
door because now it is open. Open/close. Then turn the car on, because it is off.
On/off. Then give it gas so you can move because you are stopped. Stop/go.
Imagine how far you would make it if you could only turn left because there was
no right? It is silly to even try to think that way.

In order for a thing to be a thing it has to have something to contrast itself against.
Think about this for a minute. What if there was only one thing in the entire
universe? Would it be something? How could it tell? It would be everything,
everywhere, all of the time. Could that thing identify itself as even being there?
How? It is the ONLY thing in the universe; therefore, it cannot be identified as
something by itself.

It takes something else, an observer to observe this thing is there and then the
thing can become aware of itself. Until something ELSE was created that is
different and separate from the first thing!

This is how things are created. Clear as mud right?

So we talked about energy and, physiology and psychology. Looking at this from
a viewpoint of duality, physiology is your outer world and psychology is your
inner world. Outer / Inner

They both need to be functioning for either of them to operate. Think about it.
What good is a body without a mind, feelings and emotions? And how can you
express your feelings, thoughts, ideas and emotions without a physical means to
do it? Does that truly make sense to you? Do you really get it?

I want to make sure you’re clear up to this point. Every time I say “duality” my
wife asks me, “What is duality again?” So I know it can be confusing. Plus if there
is ever a time throughout this course that you don’t understand something, please
stop and do not move forward with that principle until you find your answers and
understand what you are learning!

If you have to write it down and ask later, that’s fine, but do whatever it takes to
get clear on whatever it is that you might not understand. DO NOT FEEL
embarrassed or stupid or anything like that. This is a huge problem for people.

A study was done on why kids fail at school. The problem is that when they get to
a point where they don’t quite get it or understand, say in math because everyone
gets math right, they get stuck at that point and cannot move forward with the rest
of the class. It is a misunderstood state!

Most of the time, they even ask a question to have the teacher explain it better to
them but they still might not fully grasp it. After they ask and the teacher explains,
they either feel embarrassed or stupid thinking everyone else gets it and they
should too, HA!

Or even worse the teacher does not have time to help the student. At this point the
student just stays stuck in this misunderstood state, and their brain shuts down
making them unable to learn anything further that builds on the concept they don’t
get. Have you ever experienced this?

So just ask the question and find the answer to it. Maybe someone else will have a
perspective or insight to the question that you will resonate with more. We are all
in the same game and we all have something unique and special to contribute.
Don’t feel embarrassed if you don’t fully get something.

Do feel curious to learn and understand. And on the flip side, don’t judge yourself

for having questions. Do support yourself one hundred percent. Does that sound
fair?

Ok let’s move on then. Simply put, Duality is a contrasting environment,


situation, or feeling that you can compare your current environment, situations, or
feelings against.

It’s something other than the thing you are observing that makes the thing you are
observing what it is.

Duality provides contrast against your current situation. You can find everything
you want and the solution to getting what you want by looking at what you don’t
want using the law of duality.

Relate it to any specific problem you currently have. Poor vs. rich; unhealthy vs.
healthy; insecure vs. confident; debt vs. wealth. Let’s use pleasure and pain for an
example. Are they same thing? One cannot exist without the other right?

It takes pain or discomfort to create pleasure sometimes. For instance, when I


work out and apply resistance to my muscles it is uncomfortable and painful
sometimes. But when I am done it is very pleasurable.

Over time with enough repetition of applying the resistance to my muscles, the
pain actually transforms to pleasure. It is amazing! What used to be painful has
turned into pleasure. It is because one cannot exist without the other and they are
truly the same thing just on different ends of the spectrum.

The only thing that changes is my experience or perspective of the pleasure/pain


duality.

Think about this for a minute. Two people are standing on opposite sides of the
same door both waiting to go through. The door opens. One will be going in the
door while the other will be going out. It just depends on where they are coming
from.

What image do you see about your self? What image do you want to see? What is
your duality?

Use the discomfort or uncomfortable ideas or opinions about yourself as positive


resistance. It takes resistance to build muscle: a physical, spiritual, or emotional
muscle. You are either growing or dying at all times in life.

Your problems are the resistance you use to see the contrasting environment that

you do not want which then provides a direction for you to grow into. Momentum
works both good and bad.

Most of us are far more aware of what we don’t want than what we do want which
is why it is sometimes easier to identify that and start from there.

Ask someone what they want, and they will usually not be able to answer. But ask
them what they are sick of and fed up with, and the list is 13 miles long!

I never fails, at every single seminar I go to when I hear someone asked the
question, “What do you want in your life?” 98% of the time the answer is, “Well I
don’t want XYZ.” They ALWAYS know what they don’t want.

The purpose of being aware of duality is that the secret to what you want in life
lies within the very things you don’t want. The seed to every desire is hidden
within the desire itself. Just as a grand oak tree lives within an acorn, everything
you desire lives inside those desires.

I heard it put this way one time: it is a benefit to live in a house without enough
closet space so you can figure out that you need and want more closets!

I am sure you have heard of something called your comfort zone. Your comfort
zone is a place where you are comfortable. You are comfortable with the people,
places, things, money and all of the other things in your life. Your comfort zone is
where what you have now exists.

Things like your job, your friends, your level of health, your relationships and
your finances. Everything you currently have in your life is what you have become
comfortable enough to accept and allow into your life.

It does not mean you like all of those things, but you are familiar with (or your
mind understands) them and are comfortable with them. This is the story book of
your life so to speak, and the only story you get to experience is the one within
your comfort zone.

If you want to expand the pages of your book and have a bigger, fuller, more
interesting and fun story, you must expand your comfort zone so you can add new
things to your story. You need new pages to write on!

All of the things you currently have live inside your comfort zone. All of the
things you currently do not have (and in some cases want) live outside that
comfort zone.
For whatever reason, you branded some things as acceptable in your life and

became familiar with them, and some things as not acceptable or not attainable
and made those things live outside of the pages of your book.

This place is called your un-comfort zone. It is a place you have to stretch to get
to. And your mind screams louder than ever almost every time you try to go there.
This is the duality or contrast of your inner and outer world.

When you try to step over the boundaries of your comfort zone, your mind starts
yelling things like, “Stop! Don’t go there. Those are uncharted waters and there
could be 8,000 pound killer sharks and schools of flesh eating piranhas! There is
probably a man eating whirlpool just waiting to suck you in and get you!”

Your mind is trying to protect you from the mysterious “unknown” when in reality
all you are doing is stepping outside the norm for yourself and ordering something
different on the menu at your favorite restaurant.

It’s a bit silly but even if the un-comfortable thing is BETTER for you, your mind
still tries to take you out of the game and STOP you from stepping out of your
comfort zone. It tries to keep you where you are “safe”. Or at least where your
mind perceives it is safe.

Example: Have you ever tried to lose weight or know someone who has? Of
course it makes sense to get in shape and raise your energy and feel good, right? If
your conditioned mind has anything to do with it, WRONG!

You have to create new and unfamiliar habits. Eat new and unfamiliar foods. Stop
doing what you are comfortable and familiar with. AAHHGGG!!! That is the
biggest thing right there. When you stop doing what you have been doing. That is
when the flood gates break open for the resistance to come into your life.

It is not so much about doing new things but stopping old habits and patterns. That
is when your mind does everything it can to take you out of the game. Forming
new habits is not near as difficult as breaking old ones. Why is that?

The reason is that new habits are just new neuro associations forming in your brain
while old habits require both literally breaking the old link in your mind with your
current habit and forming a new one.

This is something a bit unconventional, and you will learn all about why this is
true in the course. It is just as hard to lose weight if you’re fat as it is to quit a drug
addiction if you’re hooked on drugs! It is just as hard to ask a girl on a date if you
are shy as it is to quit smoking if you are addicted to cigarettes!

I know, I know, I can hear some people screaming already but it is the truth. The
physical changes and biology going on inside of you is the same reaction. And I
have been through all of the above and successfully overcome them, so I have first
hand experience with it.

Actually, I think it was more difficult to get over the shyness and self confidence
issues than it was to quit substance abuse!

The reason is because you are battling the same force no matter what you are
trying to grow past. There are some physical things going on inside your body
whenever you grow and expand and make changes in your life. You are trying to
take a step over the comfortable line of being in a place you perceive as safe - your
comfort zone!

This is why most people settle for a mediocre life and never realize most of their
dreams.

My good friend, Kevin Wilke, Co-Founder of Nitro Marketing, and I were talking
one day and he phrased it in a brilliant way. He said most people are too afraid to
try and make their dreams a reality because they feel they will lose their dream if
they put it out in the real world.

Your dream feels safe when it is tucked away inside your psychology hidden from
the world where nobody can squash it or make fun of it or take it from you.

That dream is what keeps you going every day. Little glimpses of hope that some
day… one day… I will do… Over time people turn into drones just pumping away
at life as it passes them by and before they know it…BAM! It’s over! They end up
like my Dad.

The story of my Dad is an incredible illustration and inspiration of why you should
live your dreams and not deny yourself want you want in life. It is very, very
powerful and is on the Home Study Course audio program so be sure and listen to
that in conjunction with reading this.

So what does this have to do with Duality? Well you live in world governed by
duality but how many times have you found yourself saying things like, “Wow, I
really don’t like this situation. I wonder what the other “side” of this is? What’s
the better more serving side of this coin for me?”

In other words, you have the one reality of your dream being tucked away in a safe
place because of fear (fear-based mentality) and the other side of that would be
your dream out in the world in full vibrant color with all of its splendor and glory.

You may want to be a famous artist or a successful business owner. You might not
want to go to your job you hate for even one more day! You might want to have a
beautiful loving relationship. Maybe you are just sick of being out of shape.

Whatever it is, you do have a dream. You have lots of dreams! We all do.
Whatever your dream is for you, if it has not blossomed and made its way to your
physical reality and existence, you are looking at it from fear-based mentality and
from a point of scarcity.

You can choose either one. Fear-based mentality or courage-based mentality. The
coolest thing about “problems” is that you already have the contrast of what you
don’t want done. That part is usually out of the way because that is how you
identify what you do want. The seed for your desire is there in the situation you do
not like and want to move from.

You may not think so right now but you will absolutely KNOW in the cells of
your being that you can not only choose but also create whatever you can imagine
and move into that reality soon enough.

Rarely is that the way people generally think on a conscious level. You are going
to do something now that is going to open up the flood gates for your energy to
flow freely and at your command.

This is a very powerful tool and if you use it, you WILL build any and everything
you want!

I used this law to overcome a drug and alcohol addiction at the age of sixteen, to
transform my body from a fat out of shape low energy waste to a healthy lean
energy machine! To create the kinds of friends I wanted that would serve me in
my purpose for my life. To find my purpose in life! To get out of a job I excelled
at but hated. To identify the kind of relationship I wanted with my wife and kids.

Virtually every success I have had in my life I owe to the principles in this course.
Without using the law of duality to identify what I did not want and what I did
want instead, I would have never been able to create the blue print for my ideal
life.

Now let’s go over how you can start to create the blue print for your ideal life.

Remember, most people don’t really know what they want, and you are going to
use that as rocket fuel to getting what you do want.

It’s true, just ask someone, anyone what they truly want and listen to them. Once
they get past the daily “M.O.” (Method of Operation), they run out of things they
want.

I just recently asked a friend this question, “What if you had a magic lamp and
when you rubbed it a Genie came out. Only this Genie is a rebel Genie and says to
you; “Alright forget the three wishes garbage! I play things a little different. From
the second I say “go” you have exactly 30 seconds to wish for ANYTHING YOU
DON’T WANT in your life to be gone right now! GO!”

His answer to that question shocked me to say the least, and I really thought he
was joking at first. Wait until you hear what he said. It is a very powerful
illustration of people being conditioned to settle for what they think they should
have. To settle for mediocrity. Before I rant about that, how do you think you
would handle that offer? Do the next exercise to find out.

Life is very dynamic and so are you. No matter where you might be in your life,
you will always have things you do and do not want in your life. You grow past
old beliefs as you achieve more success in your life but still sometimes try to hang
onto them. You reach a milestone in your life and discover even more possibility
to be, do and have more in your life and your experience.

The law of duality is a powerful law and you will use the lists from these exercises
as an extremely powerful tool to siphon the incredible power from this law.

So, do you want to hear what my friend said to me? The don’t want list was not
very long at all and this is what he ended up with for wanting in is life. He said he
would like a job making $50K - $60K a year. Good medical insurance that he did
not have to pay for because his wife has a history of being sick and had some
complications, he would get in better shape and maybe get to go on tour as a PGA
golfer!

He could not use the entire 30 seconds to say what he wanted. A job making a pre-
determined amount of money? And for the love of all things holy, YOU HAVE A
GENIE THERE! Wish for perfect health for your wife and yourself. Actually why
stop there, wish for perfect health across the globe or universe!

I could not believe it. I was very frustrated and sad. I realized if he could hear
himself talking, he would think it was ridiculous also. But your mind is only doing
its job. Keeping you in your comfort zone where it is “safe”. It takes you out of the

game if you let it.

That is what was comfortable to him. He was unable to expand his awareness and
mind to bigger expectations. He was locked onto a certain belief and perspective
and that is where he stayed. He came to the 4,000 foot cliff and 500 foot canyon
and set up camp never even realizing there were more options!

He accepted that his journey was over. There was no more to learn. But inside he
secretly hoped someone else would come along and build that bridge for him. It is
not right or wrong it is just being unaware that there is more opportunity and
possibility out there than all of us combined can ever take advantage of.

It showed me people are very afraid to let themselves “open” up and expose their
dreams.

They are so afraid they might lose the dream that their perception is it’s less
painful to settle for a mediocre life and at least hang on to the “hope” their dream
is still a possibility.

So what is safe to your conscious mind? Whatever it knows and is comfortable


with. Everything within your current comfort zone. Everything outside your
comfort zone has some fear attached to it and those fears are nothing to smock at!

They are very “real” to you and anyone else that feels them. And they are barriers
to your success and happiness.

I am going to give you an experience from my life that directly applies to this
principle. I will use a physical example because it is universal. We all have a body.

You see, the very things you don’t want in your life are the first class tickets to
getting what you do want. Once you identify what you do not want you can use
those “don’t wants” as a clear and concise road map to getting what you truly do
want.

Most people just complain or pretend it isn’t that bad. NO! DON’T DO THAT!
Get upset that you do not have what you want in life and only have a whole lot of
what you don’t want.

Don’t EVER settle for anything less than you deserve, and you deserve everything
that makes you feel good. It took me getting completely disgusted with myself to
realize what I wanted physically - to be fit and in better shape.

I used to just say things to myself like I am not that fat, or I carry my weight well

(I really did carry my weight well). I was just a big guy right? NO, I WAS FAT!
And I was only able to change it when I told myself I was fat with an emotional
response. I had to realize that I did not like being fat and the only way to do that
was to be honest with myself about my reality.

Once I accepted that I was fat I used the law of duality and everything changed for
me, very quickly. I thought, “OK, I admit it. I am a big blob of unhealthy fat and I
do not like it! I do not like how I look. I do not like how I feel. And I do not like
the mind games of justifying it to myself! What is the contrasting reality to that?
To be a lean, mean muscle machine!”

That actually got me excited! I liked the idea of being able to tie my shoes without
running out of breath.

I liked the idea of looking great and feeling great. I liked the idea of having a lot
more confidence. I liked the idea of being able to play sports without having an
ambulance near by with a charged up defibrillator!

I had to have the contrasting image of myself before I could truly realize what I
wanted and it had to be charged with emotion, the fuel for creation.

I ended up using that frustration with my current results to propel me forward and
get me into positive action. Once I started actually moving my natural state of
growing and expanding took over. I started an exercise and diet plan and I lost
fifty pounds in 90 days! It was an amazing experience.

I used that don’t want to identify what I truly did want and then focused all of my
energy on what I did want. I was only able to do this because I identified it by
being honest with myself about my current results.

I was not disgusted with myself as a person. Who I am never changes, it never
can. I was only disgusted with the results I had, or did not have, in my life.

We each respond to things differently and it may take less or it may take more for
you but the point is that the stuff we call “bad” is actually an endless supply of
fuel to making our dreams come true, if you chose it to be.

In the next principle you will learn how to instantly change your perception from
“bad” (un-serving) to “good” (serving) but for now let’s use the law of duality to
map out what you want and why you want it and how you are going to get it by
creating a “blue print” of your perfect life.

Imagine you were designing your dream house. You would be able to put

windows and doors wherever you wanted. They could be as big or small as you
liked. You could have a lot of bedrooms or just a few. However you wanted it you
could design it.

The question is do you think you would get it perfect your first go round?
Probably not.

You would design this incredible house with awesome views and amazing features
but as you look over the blue print you might realize that you have tiny windows
and you want huge windows because the last house you owned had tiny windows
and you did not like it.

It is your blue print, your house and your design. Build it to whatever serves you at
the time you are building it.

The point I am trying to make is you are an ever changing being. Your needs and
desires change as you grow. Just like a hermit crab outgrows its shell, you will
outgrow your blueprint. But the coolest thing is you get to decide when you
outgrow it (if at all) and you get to design your new blueprint whenever you want!

Design your life for what works and fits for you now.

Tomorrow it may be different but today is the only time you can do anything
anyway. So work with what you have right now and go for it!

Next is an exercise in discovery. It takes some effort but it is worth every ounce.
It will provide a huge boost to get you moving faster in the direction that serves
you most. So move on to this exercise now and have fun doing it. Here’s where
you find the power to get moving, take action, make decisions and create change
in your life NOW!

This is where you get the rocket fuel to eliminate everything you do not want in
your life or in your experience like the extra 20 pounds of body fat, or that big
mountain of debt. Or maybe you are not satisfied with your current level of
business success or your relationships. It could be character traits like shyness you
are not happy with or you might be judgmental.

Some people ask why focus on what you do not want, shouldn’t you focus on what
you DO want? Well, yes, you should focus on what you do want and you will. Let
me ask you a question, “How motivated are you to go out and fill your car with
gas if the tank is already full?”

You’re not motivated at all. That need is met and there is no progress to make at

this moment in time with that need. But if you are rushing home to go to a surprise
birthday party and you are out of gas, you get real motivated to find some gas and
find it NOW!

That is how human beings work. When your needs are met, you generally do not
focus on that area of your life. That is why it is so challenging to grow in low
energy environments. If your basic needs for things like food, water, shelter, and
protection are not met, chances are you are not going to focus on increasing your
business revenue for the year.

You are going to focus on survival. When I was homeless, I was not thinking
about how many lives I could touch and help take to the next level. I was
thinking, “Where the hell am I going to get some food!”

But the cool thing is once those survival needs are met; your default mode is to
grow into the next level of your life. It is your natural state to grow. What does
that look like? It would be something of a paradigm shift. You would have plenty
of gas and not be lacking anything in your life but your natural state is to grow.
How can you add gas to a full tank? Your thinking would change to, “I am going
to get a bigger tank that can hold more.” Or in other words, a more expanded
awareness.

So, yes, when you get moving forward and get some momentum behind you by
using the “pain” of what you don’t want, you absolutely should focus all of your
energy on expanding that growth and achieving your desires and objectives.

But you need to start moving forward first. That is the challenge with a lot of
personal development material. It focuses on becoming enlightened and a pure
spiritual being, which, again is good advice but like I said, you don’t go to the
gym and start off benching 300 pounds. You progress to that level.

Use the law of duality to discover what you want from what you don’t want. If
you no longer accept the fact that you are a smoker, then you need to become a
non-smoker. It is very simple.

Get mad. Get angry! Be disgusted with your current results. DO NOT be disgusted
with yourself, just your results. Get motivated to change them. Is it ok that a
person gets so bad that they tolerate a life that they hate? Is that the kind of person
you want to be? That’s the kind of person you are being right now in this
particular area of your life if you’re not satisfied.

Are you happy about hearing that? How does it make you feel? You should be
angry. You should be mad. You should be upset because that means you don’t
have all of the wonderful things you deserve and should have in your life.

Forget enlightenment for a minute. Forget about all of the meditation and mantras
and visualizations. We’re talking about making an immediate change in you now.
The only person who controls you is YOU. Get so disgusted with your current
situation that you will no longer tolerate or accept it.

Use that energy to propel you forward and get you into action now. That action
will create the momentum you need to attract into your life all of the resources,
people and tools you need to achieve your desire and live your ultimate life.

Don’t live and focus in that energy. Use it to “jump start” yourself into immediate
action and then focus on your desires. That energy is like a nitro boost not a
cruising energy.

You already have learned two very powerful, life changing principles. If you used
just these two alone; your life would never be the same. It just gets better from
here. The next principle you are about to learn installs a lot more power in your
progress, so hold on tight and get ready to really make some changes in principle
three: The Power of Perception.

Principle 3 - The Power of Perception

Would you agree that you are a creature of habit? I know it is not the most
appealing description you may want for yourself but it is the truth. You may not
like some of the laws that govern our world and our lives, but it is still much easier
to live in harmony with them vs. live against them.

Tony Robbins says the best study of life is how it is not how you think it should
be!

You may decide you don’t like gravity and believe it does not apply to you so you
decide to step off a 4,000 foot ledge. And guess what will happen each and every
single time? You will fall!

Just because you don’t like gravity does not mean it is not going to apply to you
and your life. That goes for all universal laws. I did not create them but I have
learned it is much, much easier to live in harmony with them than try to resist
them.

What I mean is that you still may not like gravity and decide to step off that ledge
again, but this time you understand there is a law that governs gravity. Even
though you don’t like it, you still know you are going to fall, so you find tools,
resources and ideas that serve both you and this law. That’s when the magic
happens.

That is when your life becomes pure bliss. So imagine you step off the ledge but
this time you have a tool, a parachute or a hang glider or some other thing you
create to let you experience gravity in a more serving way after you step off the
ledge.

This time you still fall, but it is fun and graceful. You are working with this law
instead of against it.

When you work with the universal laws instead of against them you win every
time. One of the most important laws you can master and understand is the law of
perception. It states that nothing in life has any meaning except the meaning you
give it.

Something one of my mentors said stuck with me: “Everything in nature is perfect
until we show up and start attaching meanings to things!”

You are not a victim of circumstance; you are the creator of circumstance. You
cannot control all of the events in your life, but you certainly can control the
meanings you give to events in your life. This is how beliefs are created.

This is one of the most important things you will ever learn and one of the most
powerful things you can apply in your life.

Your habits generally come from your beliefs, and your beliefs come from the
meanings you consistently give to a particular event, person, place, or thing -
whatever you give a meaning to.

So what are your stories about life? What beliefs do you choose to live by?

You have stories about your life. We all do. You have stories about why you got
that thing or did not get this thing. And to you, your stories mean everything. What
one person sees as a tragedy another sees as a blessing.

It all depends on the meaning you attach to it and the perspective from which you
look at it. That meaning is what writes the stories in your life.

What do the pages in the book of your life say? Is it an interesting story? Maybe it
is a funny story. Is it a triumphant story? Or is it a tragic story?

Did you write the story yourself or did you let someone else write it for you? The
truth is over time you become conditioned and programmed to have almost
automatic responses to certain things. You form some habits by choice and some
habits are force fed into your life.

The question is now, “Do your habits serve you or stop you?”

What about limitations. Do you believe you have limitations? Why? Do you have
the habit of letting fear run your life or living from your courage and why? What
beliefs must you have in order to create that particular habit? Do you believe you
are in control of your life or that life is in control of you? Do you believe you can
change your beliefs? How? All it takes is a decision. You decide!

Maybe you have heard this story before. It is a great illustration of how powerful
beliefs can be.

If you have ever been to the Circus you’ve seen these amazing animals that are
enormous and powerful. But they are all so tame and well trained. Especially
amazing are the elephants. These animals are HUGE! But they comply with every
direction the circus trainers give them.

I took my daughter to the circus and she wanted to ride the elephants. I said sure
and tossed her up onto the elephants back. These are enormous creatures. I
remember not even thinking for a second there was any danger because these
animals are so obedient.

It is very interesting to learn how they train these giant animals. They start when
they are just little babies. They tie big heavy rope around one of their hind legs and
attach it to a sturdy post. Well naturally the baby elephant wants nothing to do
with being tied up so he pulls and tugs and yanks at that rope until he is exhausted.

Then when he regains some energy and strength he does the same routine all over
again. Tugging and pulling and yanking on that rope but to no avail. Over time the
baby elephant gets discouraged and stops pulling so hard. He looses some of his
fight and that’s when the trainers put a smaller rope on him.

The baby elephant still tugs and pulls and yanks at this smaller rope but with less
force because he is already getting conditioned to believe he cannot break the rope
and he finds the outcome the same. This goes on for some time until finally there
is just a small string around one of this mighty animal’s hind legs making him
comply with whatever the trainer demands.

The elephant could easily break this string but he believes that it is no use. He
knows with everything that he is that he cannot break free from this string that
binds him. His mind has been conditioned to believe that he is powerless and there
is no use even trying.

The next part of this story is what really demonstrates the incredible power of
beliefs, perceptions and habits.

One day at a circus event the elephants were all lined up and tied to something that
resembles a portable bike rack, something that any human being could pick up and
carry with them. The elephants were tied to this rack awaiting their performance
when a fire broke out.

The tent was burning and everyone frantically evacuated the tent and found safety,
except for the elephants. In the story about this they say you could hear the
elephants screaming as they burned to death. They did not even try to escape.
They were bound only by a small string and a portable rack that any human could

carry with them.

Their beliefs were so strong that they could not escape that even in the event that
their lives depended on them trying to get out, they made no attempt to escape!

That is how powerful a belief can be. Those beliefs certainly did not serve the
elephants and you need to ask yourself, do your beliefs serve you?

Do you have limiting belief systems? Do your habits create and support serving
beliefs? This exercise will illustrate how these limiting beliefs pop up and stop you
from progressing to a higher level of your life. After this exercise is complete we
will move on to learn how to eliminate limiting beliefs and create new serving
belief systems.

Your goal here is to focus on your objective until the obstacles melt away and all
you can see is your objective. You will see how easy it is to focus on your
objectives and desires and how easily the obstacles melt away until you start
adding your limiting beliefs. Then it becomes very difficult to focus on your
objectives and desires because your obstacles keep popping back up!

Perspectives

So how do you remove or change your limiting beliefs? How do you change the
paradigm from which you live? First you have to identify what your current belief
systems are. What are your current perspectives you see your life from? You must
identify the paradigm from which you live your life now. Second, you decide to! It
really is that simple.

But for most people it is not always that easy. What stories do you tell yourself
about your appearance? What stories do you tell yourself about why you don’t
have a great job? What stories do you tell yourself about why you can never get
ahead?

To you, your story means everything. To others they see you and your story from
a different perspective.

Isn’t it true that if someone says something to you it means one thing but if you
say it, it means EVERYTHING! Your story is your reality. It is your experience.

It may not be my experience, but can I still learn from what you experienced? You

better believe it, (if I can learn). And you can learn from others perspectives and
beliefs while not being threatened by them because they are different than yours.

Do you believe you are smart enough to learn anything someone is willing to teach
you? So what stops you? What stops most people from learning from others
experiences? Your limiting beliefs and your perspectives. Your mind is constantly
trying to prove itself right and re-enforce the belief system you have adopted as
yours.

And if you are open to and aware of other peoples belief systems, that creates an
opportunity for you to alter yours and grow if it serves you to do so.

But that sends a BIG red flag up in your mind. What if what you have believed
about something for years is suddenly changed because you are able to see it from
a different perspective?

I’ll tell you what… So what! Big deal! If you hung onto the belief that 8 tracks are
the hottest new technological advancement in music delivery, you would just look
like an idiot to everyone around you and you would be missing out on the
advanced technology like CD’s and mp3 players.

You can use other people who have achieved the things you desire and
accomplished the things you are working on to remove limiting beliefs. You can
“borrow” their distinctions about life until you form your own similar distinctions.

By listening and learning from their perspectives and beliefs you can expand
yourself enough to have a contrast from which you can identify your own belief
systems and perspectives. The law of duality will help you with this also.

In other words, get a different point of view with an open mind. Other people will
see you differently than you see yourself. They will also provide a different
perspective for you to explore.

Have you ever noticed that you get used to yourself very fast? If you get a new
hair style or lose a pound or two you get used to it very quickly because you are
always with you. But others will notice it over and over again for a much longer
time.

Trying to explain your own perspective to yourself is like a fish trying to explain
to another fish the water in which they exist. Or it is like trying to explain the color
green to someone who has had green colored glasses their entire life. It is almost
impossible!

They know nothing else except the reality they live in every day. How do you
explain green to some one who has never seen any other color except green
before?

You must have contrast or duality in your life to change your perspective. So let’s
say one day that fish jumps out of the water for a minute or the person wearing the
green colored glasses takes them off for a while. Then what happens?

They see all kinds of new bright and vivid colors. They see green grass against
brown dirt and the can actually notice that the grass is green because of the
contrast and new perspective. Or the fish feels the air and the experience of not
having water all around it. They have, if only for a moment, changed the way they
look at things.

Now they have some contrasting environment to form a new perspective and they
understand what it is they are trying to explain to the other fish. The rest of the fish
still may not get it. Or the rest of the green colored glasses wearing cult might not
understand but the ones who took the action will have a whole new experience
with life.

That is what I want you to do. I want to have you jump out of the water for a
minute, take off the glasses, look at life through a new set of eyes and beliefs and
thoughts. Build a new paradigm, a new perspective in fact, build and create as
many new perspectives as you can and choose the one that serves you best for that
moment of your life.

Is there a law that says once you believe in something you must always believe it?
Life is dynamic and always changing, shifting and moving and you are a dynamic
being ever-changing also. We are all energy in motion all of the time.

Imagine you are lazily floating down a river listening to the birds sing, watching
the butterflies flutter, relaxing to the gentle flow of the water. Your perspective at
that point is kicked back, relaxed, soaking up some sun, and enjoying the lazy ride.
Your perspective is one of relaxation and worry free living. It’s how you are
viewing this situation right now.

Then all of the sudden, without warning, here comes a 300 foot waterfall! What is
going to happen to your perspective at that point? It is going to change in an
instant. It went from kicking back, soaking up sun, enjoying the lazy ride to, OH
MY GOD! SWIM LIKE HECK FOR THE SHORE!

So can your perspectives change? They can and they DO. Should they?
Absolutely! Your perspectives will change with your environment and

surroundings.

How can you get new perspectives? Is it ok to have help in this arena? Not only is
it ok but it is very wise. One of the best ways to get different perspectives is to get
help from others. Observe life from as many other people’s perspectives as you
can.

As I said before, the greatest gift we have in life is each other. Far too many of us
underutilize this. You are surrounded by endless new perspectives. Some of which
will make sense and serve you and some will not. What you will find is that once
your mind “locks” onto a certain perspective it can be very difficult to see any
others. Now you are going to do an exercise that helps with seeing different
perspectives, teamwork and co-operation.

If you cannot see all four different perspectives here, you will want to get another
person to look at it to help you find all four perspectives. You want as many
people looking from as many angles as you can to find all of the different
perspectives that can be seen in life and in this illustration.

Did you notice again that once you “lock on” to or accept a certain perspective, it
can be very difficult to change it? Especially without the help of others who have
different perspectives than you do.

Is your job to find the one perspective in life you can lock on to and live by for the
rest of your life? That is what most people are looking for, the one answer, the
one solution to all of life’s problems.

As you can now see, the problem with that is it stops expansion and growth. It
creates a closed mind. I am not saying to agree with every perspective you see or
hear but be willing to explore it and find what does or does not serve you at this
moment in your life.

Some common questions people ask themselves are, “What is the answer? What is
my passion? What is my purpose?”

Do any of these sound familiar? The answer to all of those questions is not outside
of yourself, it is inside you right now! The answer lies within your own
perspective of what those things mean to you.

It is as simple as changing your paradigm or perspective. You get to decide how


you look at things. You get to decide what emotions you have, what words you

use, what thoughts you think. You get to decide what you are passionate about.
You get to decide what your purpose is. You are in complete control!

Nobody can tell you what your purpose is and why would you want them to
anyway? Would you have someone choose what you wore everyday for you? Pick
your meals out for you? What kind of music you listened to on Tuesdays? Of
course not that is ridiculous.

All you have to do is realize you are in control of your energy, your thoughts, and
your life. That means you can choose ANYTHING you want. Whatever fills your
heart with joy. ANYTHING! Do you get that?

But most people are searching for answers to questions coming from what their
current paradigms are in which they live their lives.

Can you imagine how frustrating it would be to try to explain the color green to a
person who only has the ability to see the color green? That is their perspective or
their set of rules in which they view the world and their life. It is their paradigm.

If you were part of the green colored glasses wearing cult and the answers that are
within you now were to climb outside of you and slap you square in the face you
would not recognize them as answers, IF you even noticed them at all because
they are green and you’re wearing the green glasses!

You cannot see green through green colored glasses. You have to change the way
you look at things and the things you look at will change.

Have you heard the saying “You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that
created it.”?

Ask yourself this, “Do I want the ONE answer to my question and have that be the
answer for the rest of my life?”

If there was only one answer to all of your questions that would be pretty
uneventful and boring don’t you think?

Wouldn’t you rather have an answer that served you for the duration it is needed
and once you outgrew that perspective and it no longer served you, you get a new
perspective and new answer that does serve you?

That is what personal development and growth is all about.

It is perfectly ok to change your perspective and ask different questions or seek

bigger answers. In fact it’s the normal default mode of human beings, to continue
to learn and grow.

That means you are growing and not staying stagnant. If your perspectives have
changed that means your beliefs have changed. If your beliefs have changed that
means your habits have changes. If your habits have changed that means your
thoughts have changed. And so on…

Remember you are either growing or dying. So if you are constantly growing then
your perspectives and beliefs grow with you automatically.

Besides what is there, a belief police? How about a perspective police? NO! So
who is to say that you cannot wake up one day and decide that it is ok for you to
be an artist, or a boat builder, or a photographer.

Who is to say that it's not ok for you to wake up one day and decide to do the
things that make your heart sing with joy? There is only one person who decides
that and it is you!

You have the power to write and re-write the story of your life any way you
choose to. A perfect example of this is something that happened in my life that
really helped me anchor this principle into my cells.

One of my highest values is relationships. I value my relationships with the people


I love right up there with oxygen. I won’t bore you with all of the drama and
mundane details but I am going to tell you something that happened to me that
really challenged my ability to choose a serving perspective. One evening I was at
my in-laws house and I was headed out the door to go to my sister’s for dinner
with my 2 daughters.

My wife was at work so it was just me and the girls. My in-laws have different
beliefs than I do about religion but they feel very strongly about their belief
systems, which I fully respect. As I was walking out the door they stopped me and
said there was a religious function they wanted my oldest daughter to go to. I said
that we were on our way to my sister’s for dinner and we would not be able to
attend that function.

Well what do you think happened at that point knowing about how powerful
beliefs are? They got a bit upset understandably so. They had such a strong belief
about what they wanted for their granddaughter that they actually were willing to
get into a “battle of beliefs” with me. They told me that (in their minds) I was
being a bad father and husband and that I was denying my family of all of the gifts
their church had to offer.

They said I was being a bad provider by keeping my family away from that church
and that I was selfish. Now, they are entitled to their opinion and I fully respect
and admire the amount of passion they have for their beliefs.

In fact, the point of this story is to illustrate the power of beliefs and perspectives.
Good people with wonderful giving hearts we're turned to a point where they were
ready to fight!

So what about my beliefs and perspectives? Remember that my relationship with


my kids is very important to me and I never want to be a bad father to them. That
event stuck a knife right through my heart when they said they thought I was being
a bad father and husband. That being one of my highest values, hurt me pretty bad.

So I had a choice to make and I chose to explain to them that I did not believe in
the same things they did and that it was ok. I respected their beliefs so please
respect mine. They were not having it for one second.

Remember, these are otherwise very loving, nurturing, caring, and rational people
but at this point, when their beliefs felt a little threatened, it activated something
you don't see much in them at all.

They were not interested in my point of view or my perspectives at all. The only
thing they wanted was for me to conform to their wishes.

Then I caved. My beliefs felt attacked and no one would look at from my
perspectives.

I got defensive and felt personally attacked. And I started yelling back and it was a
full out fight! I tried to make my case but it was like trying to knock over a brick
wall by throwing a cotton ball at it.

And vice versa to them at that point. I didn't care if they were giving me directions
to a case full of money, I wasn't listening to damn word they had to say.

So I left that day angry and hurt and feeling personally attacked and disrespected. I
held on to that crap for a year. For an ENTIRE year!
Every time I would see them I would cringe. Whenever they talked to my kids I
wondered what kind of seeds they were planting in their heads. I knew they had no
respect for my way because they had already told me that. I chose to look at that
incident as a reason to be mad and un-trusting of them.

It made that year very difficult as it pertains to my relationship with my in-laws.

Finally I had enough of this silly nonsense. I realized that all this anger and
mistrust was not something that was serving me nor was it needed at all for any
reason.. I thought it was protecting me from getting hurt again but really it was
destroying me from the inside out. It affected more areas of my life than just my
relationship with my in-laws so I decided it was time to do something about it.

I knew I had the choice to see it how I wanted and I also knew it was a hopeless
cause to try and talk to them about it. They are on the path in life they are on and
our paths aren’t parallel and that is perfectly ok. So I thought to myself how can
this make me a better, stronger person? How can I turn this into a positive learning
experience for myself? Then I went back in time and recalled the situation.

I got out my pen and paper and re-framed the situation so it was not about me. I re-
scripted the conversation so the attack had nothing to do with my ability to be a
good dad and husband.

I realized that they had such an enormous passion for what they believed in and
such a huge amount of love for their daughter and granddaughters that they were
willing to “fight” me to stand up for what they believe in. Ok, now I had a
different perspective and set of emotions. It was gratitude, pride, love, and respect
for my in-laws because they displayed such a huge amount of love for their
daughter and grandkids.

Then I took it a step further. How would I feel, knowing how much this meant to
them, if they did not at least attempt to get my family involved with their cause? I
would probably look down on them. I understand their perspective and love them
for loving my family so much.

All it took was changing the way I looked at it and the way I heard the words of
that “conversation” and everything changed. That very same day Kelly’s dad came
over to our house and told Kelly that I was a great provider to my family and a
great Dad and that she was lucky to have me for a husband. Completely out of the
blue! Can you believe it?

Please understand that my in-laws are very good and loving people with
tremendously big and generous hearts. They acted form a pure motive and they
deserve to be commended for the immense amount of love they have for their
family.

I hung onto that perspective for a year and as soon as I decided to change it
everything else around me changed.

I did not even talk to my in-laws about it. I did not have to. It had nothing to do
with them and everything to do with the way I looked at that experience in my life.
They were not even involved with me changing my perspective. When you decide
to change your perspective you are the only person that needs to be involved.

How do you choose to see your life? What color are your glasses?

I think Wayne Dyer said it best, “When you change the way you look at things,
the things you look at change.”

Ok so now you are through the first three principles and I think it is safe to say you
can already feel the difference in your inner and outer world. You have learned
some very simple and extremely powerful techniques to create instant change in
your life.

It is time to start attracting into your life the resources that serve and support you
in achieving your desires and objectives and stop attracting the resources the
hinder your progress.

Let’s start bringing into your life the stuff that dreams are made of so you can use
what you have learned to make some dreams!

Principle 4 - The Principle (“law”) Of Attraction

Would you like to have almost wizard like powers to manifest anything into
your life that you want? You already do! This is a pretty popular principle being
discussed and taught out there right now.

Basically this law states that: Like energy attracts unto itself energy of the same or
similar frequency.

Remember way back in Principle 1 of this course how you learned that everything
is energy? Well now you are going to learn why that is so important to you.

The next principle, the Process of Manifestation, is going to show you how to
supercharge this law to where you will be having things come into your life so fast
you will be ducking and dodging them! But for now let’s just get the basics down
for this simple and powerful universal law.

So what does this mean: Like energy attracts like energy? Well here is where you
transform yourself from an “ordinary” person into a “wizard.” Whether you know
it or not and whether you like it or not, you are using this law everyday anyway.
Your words, thoughts, ideas, emotions, and feelings all activate this law.

Remember that everything is something and that thing is energy? Thoughts are
things, ideas are things, emotions are things, feelings are things and they all have a
certain energy they are composed of.

All energy is a vibration of particles and super small stuff that lives in the world of
quantum physics. The nature of energy is a vibration or oscillation. That is how a
frequency is measured. A frequency is just that, how frequent an energy source
vibrates or oscillates per some measurement of time.

Example: We have all heard of and use electricity everyday right? Well in the
U.S. for a residential home, electricity is distributed at 240 volts at 60 Hertz.

Sixty hertz is the frequency for electricity. In other words, every second the energy
in the electricity vibrates or oscillates 60 times. So every second all the tiny little
sub-atomic particles and whacky things that are going on vibrate 60 times. Or 60
times per second.

It really is simple. You have heard of Mega Hertz, Giga Hertz, and all of these
kinds of things and all they are is a measurement of how fast the energy is
vibrating.

Why does that matter to you? Well, your thoughts have varying degrees of
frequency and so do your feelings. Your ideas, your emotions your physical body,
it is all energy just vibrating at some certain frequency.

Don’t try to figure too much of this out and get lost in the rabbit hole. I did a lot of
scientific research on this. If you need to do the same, dive in head first and learn
all you can about it. It is really fascinating stuff. But for now just allow yourself to
go with the flow.

So when you think a certain thought and have a certain emotion you are creating
energy at a certain frequency. What have you learned? That everything is energy
and like energy attracts like energy. And more importantly you control yours.

So if you are thinking and feeling how much you love your dog, you will probably
notice your dog loving back without any action on your part.

Or, we all know this scenario; you wake up with a chip on your shoulder and focus
on that bad mood more and more through out the day. What happens? There is not
a person on this planet who does not know the answer to that question!

You hit every red light, in a room full of 300 people that hot cup of coffee
somehow manages to find your lap, your car breaks down, you are in the slowest
line in the history of grocery store lines and there are only 2 people in it while
every other line with 15 people is moving right along.

Everything just seems to go to crap throughout the entire day!

Most of us have had the other days also. You wake up happy to be breathing that
day! You can speed by a traffic officer who is in a bad mood and he just smiles at
you, you find an extra 20 bucks in your wallet, someone buys you lunch out of the
blue, you get your mail and the bank made an error in your favor.

You can do no wrong! It is awesome. All throughout the day things like that keep
happening. The more you focus on it the more it happens. You stay up an extra 2
hours because this day is going so great.

You know what I am talking about. Ever notice that whenever you have all the
time in the world and your thoughts are just fluttering away on whatever may
come up, the roads are always clear and there are rarely any lines to wait in, but

when you’re in a hurry you always get stuck behind the person who has more time
than brains?

It is the same all of the time everyday.

The bad day is always available to you, and so is the good day!

Did you know you have the ability to influence your life and create more of the
days and moments you would like to have in your life? Remember perspectives,
meanings, beliefs and habits? What you focus on expands and what you give your
attention to is what you get more of.

How you look at things and the meaning you attach to situations determines how
you feel about it which determines the energy you are radiating and what you will
attract back to you.

A good example of this is tuning forks. Take 2 tuning forks that are calibrated to
the same vibration frequency and stick labels on them that say “bad”. Then put
them by each other and hit one with a mallet. The other one will pick up the
vibration and start resonating and sending out the same frequency! Now the “bad”
energy will be actively moving back and forth but the only things affected by it are
the other tuning forks that are calibrated at the same frequency.

Even if there are 1,000 different tuning forks in a room the only one that will be
activated is the one that is tuned to the same or very similar vibration match.

If you do not have a vibrational match with your energy, you won’t even notice
the stuff you perceive as “bad”.

You attract to yourself whatever you give your focus, energy, or attention to
whether wanted or unwanted.

Think about it. What about the person who talks about illness and sickness all of
the time? Or the person who talks of prosperity and abundance all of the time?
They usually have what they focus on and talk about most.

Do they have those things because they focus on them or do they focus on them
because they have them? You decide.

If you change your thoughts and emotions (frequency) you change your life and
your experience of your life. Remember physiology and psychology? Remember
energy and the highest energy wins? Remember how to instantly change your
emotional state?

My 5 year old does it all the time. You have the power and control. You just need
to decide to use it.

Let’s put it to the test. Decide on something you want. It can be anything from
more money to a new car, to better health, to your passions or purpose, to some
peace and quiet.

It does not matter what it is, just decide on something. If you get hung up thinking
this is the only time you can do this or this is the only thing you can get, let go of
that and know that you can do this all the time. In fact you are already doing it!
You are just going to learn how to do it deliberately now. So choose something.

When I first learned about this law, I put it to the test and did the exercise in this
principle. I wanted to attract $50,000.00 into my life. It only took 3 days and I had
attracted $50,000.00! I was more than impressed and excited! My wife could not
believe it! She was convinced at that point.

Since then I have used this law along with the rest of the principles in this course
to build and attract some incredible things.

You are a magnet but how do you turn your attracting force on and off? You
don’t, it is always on. It is only a matter of your directing it with intention and
amplifying it with emotion. The next principle covers that in greater detail.

I had an intention of becoming friends with some people who, at the time, were
out of my reach. I had no idea of how I would do it but I expected it and I declared
it and guess what? It happened. I am now great friends with some of those people,
as close as brothers. The others will come along.

I had no idea how it would happen. The story goes like this. I randomly ended up
at a seminar like one of my seminars. I almost did not go because of money, and
one of the people I wanted to meet was in the audience of that seminar. The crazy
thing is he approached me out of the blue and invited me to lunch! We kept in
touch and ended up becoming amazing friends. As it turns out, he knew some of
the people that I wanted to meet.

And through a series of events and circumstances I ended up meeting those guys
and becoming friends with them also. Keep in mind that throughout this time I
traveled back and forth to visit my friend and go to seminars with him and spend
time building our relationship and so did he.

But I did not have the money to do it. I had lost my job. I used whatever means

necessary to afford to put myself in this environment! No excuses are allowed or
are even an option if you truly want something.

I have friendships now that mean as much to me as my wife and kids. For me they
are deeply emotional and loving relationships. One of my highest values is
relationships and I used the Law of Attraction to attract into my life the correct
environment for me to build and cultivate the relationships that are fulfilling to
me.

My life just gets better every day when I use and apply the principles in this
course.

So let’s use the same exercise I used to attract $50,000.00 into my life in three
days! I am not saying you will do that but I am not saying you won’t either.
Anything is possible. It depends entirely on where you are with your energy.

You will get exactly what you can allow into your life. No more, no less. So be
open to everything. If you want more money, don’t scoff at the extra penny that
came into your life just because it is a penny. If you want a new car, don’t reject
the matchbox car that you found out of no where. These are just pre-cursors to
more of it coming into your life.

It’s not some mystical cosmic magic space dust that makes it happen. It’s physics,
the laws that govern your physical world. Think of when you buy a new car, let’s
say a basic Subaru. What happens to your focus? What happens to your
awareness? Did Subaru’s just start magically falling out of the sky ending up on
all of the roads in your home town?

No, they were always there. Your focus was not on them, so you did not notice
them. But as soon as you have one and you’re interested in Subaru’s you see them
everywhere. They were always there. Everyday you passed by dozens of Subaru’s
not even taking a first glance at them.

(Part of this is due to your RAS. It is a part of your brain and it is kind of technical
and a bit complicated so I wont go into detail in the book about it, but I cover it a
bit more in the Ultimate Life in 6 Weeks course “UL6” if you want to learn more
about it.)

It is EXACTLY the same thing with whatever your desires are. Once you start to
look for them as being there, they all of the sudden show up - from crazy,
unexpected places. Almost like… magic, like a Wizard waved his wand and

But had you not taken the action of getting that new Subaru you would still be
walking through life oblivious to all of the fine Subaru’s you are surrounded by.

Just like anything else in the universe, action is required to get results! You MUST
do this, both physically and emotionally and to super accelerate it, add spiritually.

You are building a new and better you, a new and better version of your universe,
a life that you love to wake up to every day, a fulfilling abundant life of joy and
peace, and with anything that gets built someone has to actually do the building
part. Nobody can do it for you.

All I can do is light the path. You have to walk down it. People can and will help
you, but ultimately you have to do it. There is a process to doing this that makes it
much easier than just putting your head down and bulldogging your way through
it. That is the process of manifestation.

One thing to be aware of is that other people unintentionally poison your flow of
abundance because they do not understand it. They are where they are in their path
and their mind is trying to keep them safe as well.

Have you ever seen sand crabs? They are little crabs that don’t like other crabs to
get out of the “box” they live in. If one little sand crab starts to climb up and make
some progress of getting out of the “box” they are in, the rest of them hurry over
and grab him and pull them back down into the “box”. As soon as a crab starts to
crawl out, another one jumps on him. Then if a crab on the other side tries to
escape, two more come along and pull on his legs so he cannot get out.

They are stopping the natural instinct of nature to explore, grow and expand. Who
are your sand crabs in your life? Be careful not to let them keep you confined to
your “box”.

It is not secretive nor is there anything wrong with it. From my past experience I
have found others dramatically hinder, if not all together stop, my progress.

So for the first 30 days keep it to yourself (even though you are going to be
excited and want to share it) I would recommend not until you have formed a good
solid habit. After that tell EVERYONE of all of the good things that are entering
your life and how cool and fun this stuff is. Be excited about it!

One of the principles you will learn in this course is Progress not Perfection. That
is what you are looking for, little nuggets of progress that you can use to build
your desires and objectives and make them exist in your outer, physical world.

This puts your attention on the things in life you want to expand and you
deliberately create the life you choose. If you do this for 30 days it will be like a
meteorite storm of nuggets flying into your life so fast you won’t even be able to
catch all of them!

You will literally have an abundant flow of resources, tools, people, and
everything else you need come into your life so that you can DO what you need to
DO to create what you want to create.

The fact is what you want is always available and so is what you don’t want. You
can use this law to transition your focus to more of what you want into your life
and it will be available to you. But know this; it is up to you to use the resources
that come.

If you start getting more and more evidence of what you want coming into your
life and you just become aware of it, all that does is creates possibility. You
MUST do something with these resources in order to create results!

I know I sound like a broken record but that is such a missed point I want to make
sure and cover it. It causes so many people to feel like this stuff is hard and does
not work for them. The truth is that it is not hard and is working for you right now!

The Law of Attraction is effortless. It takes no effort for you to use it. You can add
effort and supercharge it but you don’t need to in order for it to work perfectly in
your life. It is as effortless to use this law as it is for you to use gravity.

Listen closely now, that does not mean that the action part is effortless. Imagine it
like this. You are standing in an open field getting pretty thirsty. You focus your
attention on getting a drink with no evidence that a drink is nearby. Then suddenly
a wind comes up and blows your hat off of your head. You turn around to grab
your hat and notice a well right there filled with crystal clear refreshing water.
Did you exert any effort to find the water that can quench your thirst?

Nope. But this is where most people get hung up. This is where the Law of
Attraction gets mixed up and confused. Some people who teach the LOA make it
sound like if you focus on what you want and put your attention on your desire the
water will somehow float into your mouth and your throat muscles will contract so
you are forced to swallow and then you will be quenched.

WRONG! The law of attraction only delivers the resources to you. You still have
to use them. When the resource is made clear to you, go and use it. Remember
duality? You need both your inner world, LOA bringing physical resources to
your awareness like a magnet. And your outer world, the physical resources and
actions that are required to use those resources.

They both need to work in harmony. One without the other is useless. What good
is being aware that there is a nice well of cool refreshing water to drink from if
you don’t have a physical body to experience the water and drink it? And what
good is having a physical body that is thirsty without being aware there is water to
drink?

Use the unlimited resources that are available to you everyday. That is what they
are there for. It is effortless to attract into your life what you need but it takes
effort for you to do something with it.

From being focused on the lack of X in your life to seeing the abundance of X in
your life starting to flow in from all sorts of places you could have never
imagined.

At that point you will be able to say to yourself, honestly, that you are getting
more and more abundant in X area of your life and you have just started. It only
gets better from here.

Principle 5 - T.E.A.R. The Process Of Manifestation

There is a part of you that never blinks an eye, that never sleeps, that never
takes a break, a part of you that plants the seeds for whatever is growing in your
life. It is your mind. You have an amazing piece of equipment inside your head
called a brain! Have you used it lately?

Really have you? I don’t mean for normal things like breathing, and moving
around. I mean have you REALLY used it? Your brain is a little chemical
producing factory that most people have running at about 6% capacity.

Now, if you were a business owner and your business was running at 6% capacity
would that be acceptable? NO WAY! Well, you are a business owner, you are in
the business of creating your life on purpose the way you want it because you
want it that way!

You are an emotionally driven and charged being. Every decision or action you
have ever taken has either been caused by an emotion or had an emotional
meaning attached to it by you! Emotion is the fuel that runs the machine that
creates your life.

Call it passion, purpose, drive, ambition, whatever you call it, it’s all based on
emotions.

From something as simple as buying a pack of gum to overeating, from becoming


addicted to drugs to being in peak physical shape, from being a broke homeless
person in the streets to being wealthy and prosperous, emotion is what gets you to
those results.

Those emotions come from chemicals that amazing chemical-producing factory in


your head created. (It is called the hypothalamus if you need to know the name)

The chemicals are called peptides. They are small chain amino acids that are
produced according to what your cells are requesting.

See, these peptides are produced from the hypothalamus, sent to the pituitary
gland, and released into the blood stream to dock with your cells. Cells have
thousands of little docking stations all around them.

Once a peptide reaches a cell it looks for a docking station that it fits in.

If it cannot find one that it fits in, it forces its way in and docks with a cell in your
body. Once that takes place, the chemical make-up of your cell changes and you
experience an emotion.

The emotion is then experienced by your body and mind and recorded in your
brain as whatever you label it and stored in your long term memory file.

After the repetition of the same sequence your long term memory is re-enforced
and you now have a bonified belief or belief system!

Not only do you have a belief but you now have cells ordering up these certain
peptides, so to speak, from your hypothalamus to feed your cells what they need to
remain consistent with your belief system, even if it does not serve you and even if
it harms you!

So now you have a belief and you will take some sort of action on that belief
sometime in your life. From that action and repetition of that action you will
produce the physical results in your life.

This is the formula for creation. This process is how everything gets created
without exception. From the skyscrapers in New York City to this book you’re
reading right now. It all goes through the same process.

T.E.A.R. is an acronym that stands for

Thoughts give birth to,


Emotions inspire,
Actions produce,
Results re-enforce your thoughts and beliefs. And the process starts all over again

Let me break it down for you.

Before anything is manifested into this world it must first be a thought or an idea.
Think about it, if a person did not think of a thing then how would it ever become
“real”? That thought or idea triggers the energy that starts the manifestation
process.

That thought then gives birth to some sort of emotional response, the place where
you attach a meaning to this thought or idea and creates your belief systems.

That emotion is the driving force that causes you to take all action according to
whatever meaning you attached or belief you formed to the initial thought or idea.

Then what you see are the physical results of this process which manifest into your
reality.

The physical results then re-enforce the thought or idea, strengthen the meaning or
belief and amplify the power of the emotional response. This causes you to take
more deliberate and intentional action with more confidence which produces
bigger, faster more concrete results or evidences in your life.

This is the cycle of creation. Either for things desired or undesired, this is how it
works!

Think about how powerful this is. Have you ever heard of the abused spouse that
is beaten nearly to death but still won’t press charges or leave? Then one day when
they finally get fed up and get enough “courage” (different peptide) they end up
leaving the abusive spouse.

What happens next? Amazingly they find the exact same type of person to start a
relationship with but they had plastic surgery and put a new face on! How can this
be? How can someone get out of an abusive relationship where they were nearly
beaten to death and then end up right back in the same situation?

Remember the process of manifestation T.E.A.R? What is happening is this


person’s cells have become “addicted” to those peptides that create the emotion
which drives the action of producing an environment where those peptides are
produced to feed the cell what it physically needs.

Remember I said it is just as hard for a shy person to ask someone out on a date as
it is for a drug addict to quit doing drugs? This is why!

It is such a powerful process, some people actually take their own lives because
they know what they are doing is not what they truly want. But they cannot seem
to ever get away from it.

Listen to the story of my major turning point on the audio training, and you will
get a shocking understanding of how incredibly powerful this process is!

It really was one of the most powerful life changing experiences I have ever had. It
is such a powerful story I cannot do it justice on paper, I am not that skilled a
writer, so I left it on the audio training. But it illustrates the massive power of this
principle.

So why do these cells need so many of these certain peptides? Over time what do
your cells do? They divide, right? Your cells have receptors all around them for
different things like vitamins, minerals, emotions and all kinds of bio-chemical
stuff that we don’t need to go over.

When your cells get bombarded with peptides that are constantly trying to dock
with them and force their way in, they end up having more receptors for these
peptides than they do for say vitamins.

When your cells divided, they now have twice as many receptors for the peptides
to dock in and require twice as many peptides to maintain that emotional response
to support the meaning and belief system you have.

It does not matter what it is, whether it is serving to you or not. You could have
cells that need the peptide that produces the emotion of love for animals. Or you
could have cells that need the peptide that produces the emotion of victimization!

Think about it. Do you know, or know someone who knows that person that, no
matter what the situation is, always has something happen to them that sucks?

I mean they could be lying out in the nice warm sun on an empty beach with not
one single person around. Just having a peaceful time relaxing listening to the surf
when all of the sudden a seagull fires a bomb that hits them right on the face!

Then at that very moment 15 people come running onto the beach and end up
staring and laughing at the poor victim of nature. They grab a towel to wipe off the
mess and they get sand in their eyes so they run to the water to clean out the sand
when a crab latches onto their face with its claw and… well you get the point!

And on the flip side of that, there are people who could fall face first in a tub of
crap and end up finding a priceless artifact that a museum wants to pay them
$10,000,000 a year to be able to display it!

I have friends like both of these scenarios.

It is the energy they are producing by the emotion that is engaging the law of
attraction and it is always at work just like gravity is always at work.

My Mom is a great example of the power of this also. She was a physically
healthy woman but had some very un-serving perspectives about life. One day she
found a book that talked about and explained from a medical standpoint, different
kinds of diseases.

She was fascinated by the stories in the book and something that really caught her
attention was the extra attention and sympathy people that had these diseases got
from the doctors, the media and family members.

Well you can guess what happened. She started to get sick! Now she did not
“want” to be sick but she needed the chemical in her body that made her a victim
to get sympathy and pity from others. And it worked. A big chunk of my teenage
life was spent at home talking care of her along with all the other people that felt
bad for her.

She kept getting sicker and sicker. Not only physically but she started getting
mentally sick as well. It was like an addiction. When she needed more sympathy,
she got another disease or some other problem manifested into her life.

She went from a physically healthy person with no real reason why she got sick to
dead in a little more than ten years.

Over time the cells in her body divided and created new docking stations for all of
this disease so much that she actually died from it! And it all started with some
input, a book about disease, which changed her thoughts and emotions.

She was not lacking health, but she was lacking a healthy esteem for her self. She
felt she needed to be validated by others and sympathy was equal to love and she
create an environment where that belief system flourished for her.

So what can you do to create the life you want? What instructions can you give the
“architect” of your life? What kind of blue print do you want to build your life
from?

Remember everything is energy and you control yours. You have an inner and
outer world and you need both working together to create something because you
live and experience your life in a physical world day to day.

Everything needs to be built and created by you both physically and non-physical.
The things you see and the things you don’t see. Your inner and outer world.

You need to be aware of the meanings you attach to everything in life!

Just remember this formula:

T + E x A = R Thoughts plus Emotions times Action equal Results.

If you decide what things mean to you why can’t you re-decide what things mean
to you and shake your life up for some major changes?

You can!

There you have it. The building blocks of the universe! Very simple yet incredibly
powerful information.

Use this principle and the knowledge you learned to amplify the law of attraction.

perspectives serve you or not.

Think of it like this. If you have a 10 gallon water tank that is already full, no more
water will fit in. You need to either remove some of the old water so you can add
new water or get a bigger tank. I know both were necessary for me. I had to
remove some old un-serving beliefs and habits and I definitely super-expanded my
tank and still do everyday!

Principle 6 - Awareness = Possibility

Let me ask you a question. How can you explore any possibility if you are
not aware of it? How can you even become aware of it if you’re not clear about
what you are looking for?

If you are not aware of these 11 simple principles to live your ultimate life how
could you seize the opportunity to use them in your life? You can’t and that’s the
point of this principle. Awareness creates possibility and clarity creates power.

When you become aware of these things you gain a power to make choices and
take action. There is so much of the world out there that most of us are unaware of,
but if we were aware of it we would have that many more resources to draw from
every day.

This is probably the most high impact principle in this course. Here you will see
and become aware of exactly how powerful you are at this very instant.
Once you are aware of this and clear that you have this power, your life can never
be the same again.

If you have seen the movie What The Bleep Do We Know… then you have got a
taste of this power. If you have not seen it, watch it and if you have seen it, watch
it again.

This is just one illustration of what expanding your awareness can do. You need to
constantly be expanding your awareness in every area of your life. It is easier to
live with an expanded awareness than without one.

Think of what you have learned to this point in this course. Think of the
distinctions and perspectives you have acquired. Think of the new ideas and
possibilities you have created. None of this would be possible if you were not
clear that you wanted a change in your life and took the action to get it

Let’s go backwards for just a minute. Go back to before you got this course in
your hands and were aware of these 11 principles. Back to how you felt before you
started reading and applying the information and exercises in this course. Were
you different? Did you feel different? Have you learned anything? Has your state

changed?

Now go back to before you were aware of this course at all. How did you feel
then? What was your level of awareness to your potential and power? How did it
feel when this course found its way to you?

No go back to before you were even attracting this course into your life. What
were you doing? What caused the desire to attract this course to you? How did you
feel? What level of awareness did you have about yourself?

Can you see that it was clarity in your life to cause you to make a decision that you
wanted a change? And the reason you wanted a change was because something or
someone caused you to raise your levels of awareness because the law of duality
was at work? And just as that happened, you started to attract this course into your
life.

The law of attraction went right to work and delivered this course to you because it
is exactly what you needed. It was resonating at the same energy you were when
you thought about what you wanted. Not about what you were lacking but about
what you wanted. No mystical potions or crazy snake oil are at work here. Your
inner world did its job perfectly like it does every time.

But what happened is you did your job also. You took the physical action to find
this course and apply it in your life. You are taking the steps and building the
bridge as you go. Nobody is doing it for you because nobody can. So realize this
right now, your awareness is expanded because of the steps you have taken and
you have taken the steps because of your expanded awareness.

All of the amazing claims and magic things that happen to people in the personal
growth and development world are not because of some kooky potion or crazy
chant; ALL of the results are due to one thing and one thing only. Your awareness
of what is possible. Once you are aware of it you never can be un-aware of it
again. And that awareness is what creates all of the possibility that exists to you.

If you are not aware of something, it does not even exist as a possibility for you.
Your awareness is what creates your possibility.

The one thing it does not do is take the steps for you. I cannot stress this enough.
Once you discover the possibility and power you have, that is when you begin.
That is just the starting point of a new journey. But as I have said and will
continue to say, I can only light the path for you. You have to walk it.

I can only hand you the tool. If you want to build something you have to use it. I

can only deliver these simple life changing principles. If you want to build a new
and better you, you have you apply them in your life.

The reason I can’t pound on that enough is that when I first started my journey
down this road, I was a bit misinformed. I was taught that my mind creates
everything and attracts everything into my life. That is true but there is more to
learn. Nobody ever made me aware that I would have to learn more so I expected
things to happen without applying all of the necessary efforts.

My mind creates everything and attracts everything so it is possible for my body to


put it together and get the physical results! Remember duality? They both have to
be working simultaneously in order for either to be effective, both your inner and
outer world. I had to interact with the resources my mind attracted into my life. I
was un-aware of this and it caused me a lot of frustration.

Being aware is what creates possibility. Awareness creates possibility!

If you think you can just use the incredible power of your mind to manifest
buckets of love, or money, or relationship success in front of you, sorry, think
again. It only can become aware of the possibility that has always been there and
attract the resources you need to get the results you want.

Your mind and energy have enormous power to bring to you all of the things you
need to shape and transform your life. Look at it this way for a minute. Imagine
you decide to get into better physical shape so you announce it to everyone around
you. Someone would probably approach you that had a passion for that and
recommend a good gym and maybe offer to show you where it was.

Once you get there that person might show you the machines and what they can do
for you and show you where the weights are. They are excited for you to get into
better shape and they stand there smiling at you with a proud look on their face.
As they wait for you to start lifting the weights they start to tilt their head and look
at you funny because you don’t do anything.

And then you ask, “When do you start lifting the weights and running laps for me?
I really want to get in great shape.”

How absurd does that sound? It sounds funny but a lot of people have been led to
believe that is how it works. A lot of personal development programs and courses
have taken the personal part out. That is why they don’t work.

The power of your mind is incredible which you are about to see. It is your
awareness that creates the possibility. Your actions create results.

Words are made up of energy, whatever energy you associate with them.
There is a global view and a personal view. The global view is what the general
meaning of a word means - like love. The personal view is what it more intimately
means to you. Both have tremendous power but affect you a little differently.

Generally speaking, the word love for example carries with it an energy and
response that most people would label positive.

On the flip side to that, the word “Rape” carries with it an energy and response
that most people would label negative.

Just try it and see. Think of something you associate the word love with. Maybe a
pet or a child or a particular scene in nature. Now say the word LOVE 20 times
out loud and notice how you feel inside. Put a check mark next to the word for
each time you say it.

Now take a deep cleansing breath and notice how you feel in your heart? Can you
feel the lightness in your heart? Did you smile when you said the word love? What
did you think about while you were saying LOVE? One thing is for sure,
something happened to you whether you could tell or not.

Your surroundings did not change but your inner world did. Did you notice a
change? If not, then do it again. Sometimes it takes more than one swing to see the
results even though the results are there on the inside. Have you ever tried to or
watched someone else break a piece of concrete?

You can swing away at that slab of concrete forever and never see any results. But
inside every time you hit it, you are causing tiny little stress fractures and after a
while it breaks. The results are happening whether you can see them or not.

I am not an advocate for invoking painful or low energy feelings, so I will not ask
you to do the exercise with the word RAPE. I have done it and I can assure you it
makes the same changes to your inner world but it does not feel good!

So now that you have felt the powerful effect of words and thoughts on your inner
world, let’s take a look at the extremely powerful effect your words and thoughts
have on your outer world.

One Japanese scientist has found a way for all of us to observe the powerful effect
our words and thoughts have on our outer world and our inner world.

This incredible man has developed a way we can visually see the power and

effects of our thoughts and words. In his research he unquestionably discovers the
fact that words and thoughts have the power to literally transform your physical
reality!

He took photographs of all different kinds of water crystals in their natural state
and then, after he applied some outside stimulation to the containers holding the
water, he took photographs of the same water.

The results were beyond amazing! The conclusion was that water is affected by
thoughts, ideas, words, prayer, music, and everything else that you attach a
meaning or association to. Just from the energy contained within a word or
thought it transformed these water crystals into amazing displays of pure beauty.

Water from a polluted dam in Japan was photographed and it was a sickly brown
looking blob. Then he had some monks offer a prayer to the water and took photos
again of the same water. The results were astonishing! It transformed from a dirty
blob to a majestic, beautiful snowflake looking crystal and the only change was
the focus of a prayer from a monk who was no where near the water.

The photographs are absolutely stunning to see the difference when something
simple like Thank You was taped onto the container holding plain distilled water.
It completely transformed from a drab, uneventful crystal to a beautiful, angelic
looking crystal. The only stimulation the water had was a piece of paper with the
printed words thank you on it. Everything is energy, EVERYTHING. The global
view of thank you is generally perceived as a good or positive energy. Perceptions
and meanings determine what energy is attached to something. In this case it was
not only a personal view but a global view also.

The energy attached and associated from those printed words alone physically
transformed the water!

It truly is miraculous. Considering that words and thoughts have that much
influence and power to effect water - and our world is mostly water and you are
mostly water - imagine what your thoughts and words are doing to you and the
people around you…

Estimates vary, but somewhere between 70 and 75 percent of the Earth's surface is

Principle 7 - Only Decisions Change Lives

So all of these principles have incredible power and have been proven to
work by hundreds of thousands of people including me, but they are all worthless
garbage unless YOU DECIDE to use them!

The only thing that will ever change the quality of your life is a decision you
make. And everything you do is a choice you make based on your belief systems
and perspective, right?

You can be aware of something all day and have a massive attraction of incredible
possibilities and opportunities flooding your life but until you decide to DO
something with all of this greatness you have brought to yourself, you get
NOTHING!

So here is a formula to put it all together. First raise your energy. Before you do
anything raise your energy levels. Without doing this you have a long road to
travel and it will be work when it should be fun. Remember everything is energy
and you control yours.

Next identify something you want, anything you want from the duality exercise.
You should have a list of things you both do and do not want.

Next identify what belief or perspective you have about the thing you want that
serves you. If you need to re-frame or re-script a situation do it.

The Law of Attraction is always at work and you already raised your energy level.
Your desire is now on its way. But use the process of manifestation T.E.A.R. to re-
enforce and speed up the delivery.

Start to become more and more aware that your desire is coming into your life by
recording evidence and becoming clear on what your desire is.

Now that you know all of the steps and what it looks like, you can start over
because none of it matters!

That’s right! All of this is just useless dribble… until you decide to use it. The
decision is actually the first step to all change in your life. Once you decide, you
immediately become on purpose. Applying all of these principles to create your
life the way you want it becomes fun and easy.

You will learn more about how to fine tune the process a little and some additional
principles to keep you on track in the remaining sections of this course. For now
just remember it is a process. You are looking for progress not perfection. That is
actually the next principle you are going to learn.

So you can gain more knowledge. You can get motivated. You can become
inspired and that is great. You will have those things if you get them, but they
won’t change your life. You must make a decision and that is when real change
happens.

You will know when you actually make a true decision vs. a half hearted I-kind-
of- want-to-do-that thing by what you do directly after you decide.

If it is a true decision, you will follow with immediate action. You won’t think
about why you can’t be, do or have it. You will think about what’s possible.
Fear won’t stop you. Inspiration will carry you.

You decided to change your life. You decided to read this book. You decided to
learn these principles. And now you have a power that you can never be un-aware
of again.

If you use the duality exercise to identify what you want and why, then you have
the fuel to make a decision now. What you don’t want and why is the fuel that will
help you make a true decision - the pain that you associate with not having what
you want.

In other words, or in my case (back to the body again) I was so disgusted with how
I felt, how I looked, my self image, my perception of how others viewed me, my
inability to play sports at the level I wanted and everything else I could think of,
that I did not care what it took. I decided to get into peak physical shape.

The very next thing I did was get a book (find a mentor who had already done it)
on how to do it. Then I went through my house and emptied my kitchen of any un-
serving, unhealthy foods that would temp me or hinder my progress.

On and on it went getting more and more powerful until it was an unstoppable
positive, self-serving momentum. Before I knew it, I was in peak physical shape!
I used all of the principles in this course, some of them just by habit and some I

had to focus on, but the point is, my decision was followed by an immediate and
powerful action.

Everything you do is a choice anyway. The question is, are you going to make a
choice that serves you?

You have the ultimate power over your life because you get to decide
EVERYTHING about it! From what it means, to how you feel, to what you are
willing to learn and do, to choosing to do nothing. If you choose to do nothing it is
still a choice you made.

You can win bigger than you ever thought possible in any area of your life. Do
you want to? You decide…

Principle 8 - Progress Not Perfection

This is one of the biggest downfalls of most people. They are looking at the
end result so much that they forget about all of the progress they have made in
getting there already!

You are creating new habits, building new beliefs, in essence creating a new you.
When you start to change, who is the first person to notice it? I am not sure who
the first person is, but I know who the last person is. YOU!

You don’t see your progress as easily as others because you live with you
everyday of your life.

When you lose a few pounds you can’t really tell, but almost everyone around you
can. You must celebrate your progress and not wait until the “perfection” to
celebrate.

In reality you cannot ever achieve perfection; you can only achieve what you
perceive as perfection. But even that is next to impossible because as you move
closer to your desires you have to grow as a person to receive those desires. And
just the fact that you are growing means that your perception of what is perfect
will change.

Just as you are constantly changing and growing, your ideal situations are
changing and your level awareness is growing. SO the closer you get to your
dreams, the bigger your dreams get!

For example, if your perfect income is $100,000.00 a year, and you can hardly
imagine what to do with 100K a year right now, once you reach that level, you
will have had to grow big enough to receive 100K a year.

Now that 100K a year has been achieved for you, it is no longer a dream it is a
reality. So by definition you need a new and bigger dream, and your perfect
income will change.

It is the same with health, relationships, spirituality and every other area of life.
Your dreams grow with you. But it is your progress that creates the momentum
that carries you to the next dream.

Perfection is an illusion that some people chase their entire lives. Because of that,
sadly, they never truly realize what they have achieved.

Progress, progress, progress, that is the key. It is what you do most of the time that
creates your results in your life. You have to keep on progressing in a direction
that serves you in fulfilling your desires.

If you are heading in a certain direction and you make only a 2 degree shift in the
direction you are traveling, you will end up in an entirely different destination.

You do not need HUGE changes to get the results in your life you are after. In fact
huge changes never work for more than a little while. It is the simple, small shifts
that progress you forward in achieving your desires and dreams.

The results you want in your life can only come into your experience as fast as you
can grow. You need to have room in your awareness to allow these things in.

So if you have this HUGE change in your life, chances are it won’t last.

Look at it like this. If your ideal situation was to become a millionaire, you would
probably think, “Man, it would be nice to win a million bucks.” But do you know
what happens to people when they win a lot of money? They end up losing it all
and more! But I thought that was the perfect situation, right? WRONG!

They are not ready for it because they have not made any progress. It is a process
always, period, end of story, NO MATTER WHAT!

It is always a process and that is the only way any permanent changes will ever be
made.

Think about compound interest. If you start with one penny and double it every
day for a month do you know how much money you would have? Well after three
days you would have .04 cents. And after 2 weeks you would have 81.92. But you
would also have developed a habit of saving your money and expectation of your
money doubling every day.

You are growing along with your money. You are making progress and learning
new skills and how to use them. You understand new principles such as
compounding and saving. And after a month you really see the results. You have

amassed $5,368,709.12 after only one month!

But more importantly you have learned how to do it so you can repeat it again and
again. Where if it was just handed to you from a lucky lottery ticket you would
have a lot of fun for a while, but you would be the same person you were when
you got the money in your life and you could not do it again, at least on purpose.

It is that process of progress that truly builds who you are.

So what happens when you get off course and stop making progress? You just
correct your course and continue on. That is part of the learning experience and
everyone, no matter what kind of success they have, goes through it. In fact people
with a lot of success in their lives go through it even more because they are
constantly looking for ways to make things better. To progress further and expand
their awareness of what’s possible.

When you find yourself a little off course and getting discouraged, correct and
continue. Correct and continue. Correct and continue!

If you were doubling your pennies and after 2 weeks when you had the 80 bucks
you then spent 15 dollars, your progress would be slowed down. Remember your
perfect situation or your desire is to be a millionaire.

So now you just took 15 dollars and slowed things way down. Do you give up and
say it is too late now because you made a mistake or an incorrect un-serving
choice? NO WAY! You correct and continue. You will find that you will be right
back on track making progress again and on your way to achieving your desires.

Once there was a man walking down the beach, and he noticed the beach was
covered with thousands of starfish that were washed up with the tide. They were
everywhere. As he walked along the beach he noticed a young boy up ahead
throwing rocks into the ocean. As he got closer to the boy he noticed he was not
throwing rocks at all but he was actually throwing the starfish back into the ocean.

He thought. “What a crazy kid. He really thinks he can save all of these starfish?
There are thousands of them!”

As he got next to the boy he said, “Hey kid, what are you doing? You really think
you make a difference?” The boy picked up another starfish, threw it back to the
ocean and replied, “I made a difference to that one!”

The point here is if you look at the thousands of starfish it seems to be a task too
big to even try but if you change your perspective and focus on the progress, then

you can handle anything.

Progress is the true key to success. The pot of gold is not at the end of the rainbow
it is in the rainbow itself. The journey is the reward, not the destination!

Principle 9 - Allowing Success Into Your Life and
Letting Go of Expectation

This principle is important, and you need to know it. However, it is really
very, very simple. A lot of people have asked me for help with this principle so I
include it.

Have you ever wanted something and really felt it was coming into your life but
you never saw it show up? Most of the time it is because you put an expectation
on what it would look like or how it was supposed to show up in your mind!

Imagine you are waiting for a package to come to your house, but you have to
wave the driver of the delivery truck down get him to stop at your house and
deliver it. All day you sit outside and wait and wait and wait. You are sitting there
diligently waiting to do your duty of waving down the driver of the delivery truck.

In your mind you picture a UPS truck delivering your package, but Fed-Ex is the
one who has it. Fed-Ex trucks are passing by every ten minutes but you don’t even
notice them. You are looking for your package in a UPS truck with the wrong
expectation, so you will never get it while all along it is franticly trying to find its
way to you!

You set everything in motion to get your desire and create your desire and set
them in motion towards your life using the principles you have learned in this
course, but you do not allow it into your life because you set expectations on how
and when it will come into your life.

It is like ordering a pizza and then leaving your house to find the delivery driver!
You ordered the dang thing, now just hang tight for a minute while it gets made,
cooked and delivered to your house!

Allow the pizza to enter your life. You don’t care if it is a woman or a man or a
kid or an adult. You don’t care if the delivery driver is in a truck, a Pinto, or a
Ferrari! You have no expectations except to get your yummy, hot pizza delivered
to your door.

Think about it, if you were expecting a man with brown hair wearing a green t-
shirt driving a white truck and that is the only person you would accept your pizza
from, you would be hungry for a long time!

Let go of expectations and allow your desires to come into your life.

I had a desire to meet a certain group of people and become friends with them.
Some people who were at a level of life I was not at yet and people who
continually were growing. So I just declared to the universe that I will be friends
with these guys and I will be hanging out with them.

Then I let it go. I had no idea how I was going to even meet them let alone become
friends with them! But I went about my life and strange circumstances started
happening to me that I did not even recognize!

A series of events took place and as amazing as this sounds, one of those people
actually approached me and invited me to lunch!

It was so illogical to me that if I were to try to figure it out, I would NEVER have
been able to allow that into my life. The way it came to be was in a way that I
would never, ever, ever have imagined. In fact I don’t think I am creative enough
to even think of something like that.

The point is, I set an intention, used the energy, the duality (the fact that I did not
like what my current friendships had to offer), changed my perspective to believe
that I could become friends with them, set in motion the Law Of Attraction,
amplified it with T.E.A.R., became aware of new possibilities totally unrelated to
becoming friends with these guys, made some positive decisions which led me to
my encounter with one of my best friends I have today, made some progress in our
friendship, allowed it into my life, and we constantly learn new things together
and share with each other what we learn and our perspectives of what we learn.

I applied every single principle in this course and it created a very powerful,
loving and sincere friendship with someone who I now consider a brother!

But if I acted “normal” I would have tried to devise a plan where I could meet
these guys and it never would have happened my way. All I would have got was a
lot of frustration!

You can compare allowing to letting go. You know, like when you are trying to
figure out that song that is right there on the tip of your tongue but somehow
eludes you and it makes you crazy?

But as soon as you forget about it and let go, you essentially allow it into your life
and BAM there it is and you blurt out something like “Neil Diamond” in an
elevator full of people who think you’re insane!

Another aspect of allowing is you have got to become a good receiver. If someone
pays you a compliment you need to receive it graciously. If someone offers to buy
you lunch, you need to allow them to give to you.

So many people, including myself, struggle with this. But if you think about the
law of duality in order for there to be a giver, there must be a receiver. How does it
make you feel when you give something like kindness to someone? It makes you
feel good right?.

Actually it makes everybody in the general vicinity of that act of kindness feel
good.

There was an amazing study done about serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin is
the “stuff” that makes you feel good. It is what they make anti-depressants with.

Here is what happened. They wanted to see how certain actions by people affected
the serotonin levels in the brain. So they measured the serotonin levels in a
person’s brain who was sitting and doing nothing. Then they measured the levels
after that same person had performed an act of kindness.

The serotonin levels in that person’s brain shot through the roof! It was like they
just ate an entire bottle of anti-depressants. Not only that, but the person receiving
the act of kindness also had a massive increase in serotonin levels.

And to really blow you away, the people who did nothing but observe the act of
kindness being given AND received had a massive increase in serotonin levels.

There is more going on than meets the eye on a lot of levels you are not even
aware of! Remember you have an inner and outer world and things are always
happening in both. You cannot change one with out affecting the other.

So when you deny graciously receiving that kindness from someone you are
actually physically robbing them and everyone around, including yourself, of
receiving the joy-producing chemicals in their body!

Stop it! You don’t like it when someone else won’t accept your kindness without
resistance do you? Well they don’t like it either!

Allow yourself to allow prosperity and abundance into your life no matter how it

shows up!

That is allowing. That is letting go of the resistance and letting things flow freely
into your life. It is very simple but a lot of people struggle with it.

Another point to allowing is allowing your awareness to expand. There is only one
person at the helm piloting this ship and it is you. You get to choose what you
allow and do not allow into your life and out of yourself.

Try to find 101 ways to use everything in your life from your toilet to your broom
and I guarantee you will expand your awareness. You have to engage your mind
and ask LOTS of questions. One question you should always be asking yourself in
every situation in your life is, “What is possible with this for me?”

Use the power of your thoughts and words to make your desires real in your mind.
Actually feel them in your inner world and expand your feelings. Increase the
energy you give to your desires in your inner world.

Feel the buzz inside of your body. Make your feelings bigger. Expand your
feelings from your inner world bigger and bigger as far as you can. Transition
your feelings and energy from your inner world to your outer world.

Allow your feelings and energy to release from your inner world and blast out into
your outer world. Then be open to receiving everything that comes in and ask
yourself what is possible with this for me?

Think of a kid going to Disney Land. They are thinking of all the fun rides and
tasty treats. They are excited to meet Mickey and Goofy and get the Mickey
Mouse hat. They get so worked up from there thoughts and perspectives in their
inner world that energy is buzzing inside of them.

They are crawling out of their skin waiting in line to get in the front gate and then
when they get through the gate… it’s like an explosion of chaotic wonder once
they get into the park and they allow EVERYTHING into their experience,
including the $27 Mickey Mouse shaped hamburgers!

You cannot expand your awareness one time and continue to grow. Once that
expansion is full, you need to expand more which is what principle 6 is about.
Expand your awareness every chance you get because awareness creates
possibility!

Principle 10 - Continue to Learn and Grow

Just as cars need gas to continue running, you need fuel to continue
growing. You will never be the same person twice, EVER. By reading this book
your mind has created a link or meaning attached to these words that you’re
searching for a way for them to serve you right now.

You are growing at this very second, so after you read this you will be a different,
wiser, more experienced person. It is so important that you continue to feed your
mind, body, spirit, and even your bank account with new and more serving
information to keep the flow moving.

When you stop feeding yourself with positive, helpful, personal growth
information and experiences, you start to die! Think of the law of duality, if you
are not expanding you must be contracting. If you are not growing you must be
dying.

I can say from my experience, without question, each and every single time I
“think I’ve got it” and I stop feeding my mind, body, spirit and finances, I fall
apart very fast!

It is almost scary. I did an experiment recently to see how powerful the effects are
from this.

I chose to use the physical aspect of my life because I have complete control over
that and it is easy to observe.

I decided to get into peak physical shape and it took me about 3 months to do it. I
then maintained it for 3 more months. After that I decided to let it all go. I stopped
exercising, stopped eating healthy, and I started binging on soda and sugar infested
food.

It took about 2 months for my body to start noticing the changes and my
metabolism to start slowing down but my energy levels suffered the first week.
My mind was also affected the first week.

It was very difficult to change my habits from eating healthy and exercising
everyday to not doing it at all. I got depressed and very anxious. It was very
uncomfortable for me.

So after about 2 months I started to put on some weight about 5-10 pounds
fluctuating daily. I was less motivated to do things and I had a hard time getting up
in the morning.

I started to see my health go down hill quickly. I would get short of breath playing
with my kids, and I would get tired after I played softball!

Not only was my health being effected, I was getting very grumpy and short with
my family and friends.

After about the fifth month of letting myself go I was ready to just lay around in
bed all day and waste away to nothing. It was pathetic! I actually turned into a lazy
slob and I had every intention not to.

My body created a habit behind my own back - the habit of not exercising and
burning food for fuel and being a peak performing machine.

Just as I created the habit that was hard to break of being in peak physical shape, I
also created the habit of being a lazy, tired, out of shape hump of junk!

Now it was hard to break that habit even though I wanted to! I knew how terrible I
felt and how much I did not like feeling like that, but man, it was hard to stop
eating cookies and sodas and forcing myself to get up and run in the morning
again and all of the things that used to be easy for me.

So let’s look at what happened. I only stopped actively pursing good input in the
physical area of my life and did not start actively seeking to become a lazy hunk of
junk, but that is what happened.

Not only physically, but I noticed I stopped reading my personal development


books and stopped listening to my personal development audio programs. I
accrued about $15,000 in debt and my relationships with my kids and wife were
no where near acceptable!

My entire life suffered because I stopped feeding myself input that was positive,
geared toward growth, and serving to what I wanted and who I am.

That was a recent experiment I did on myself so I could deliberately see what

happens in a controlled environment and measure the results. Not to mention
throughout my life the same thing has occurred every time I stop the good input.

Another very powerful distinction is that you are never the same person twice.
You go through life constantly getting new input and learning new things. You
meet new people and gain more experiences.

You watch new movies and new T.V. shows. You read new articles in newspapers
and magazines. You read new books and take new courses.

All of these things influence you and add to your life and your experience. They
shape your perspectives and beliefs.

You can read the same thing, go the same seminar, listen to the same audio
training, or watch the same video 5 times and each and every single time you will
get new and powerful distinctions and insights.

You will expand your awareness and grow! But the second you say to yourself
“Oh I know that already.” or “I have already read that book” You stopped the
learning process.

Your brain shuts down and stops looking for the new distinctions and insights.
Your perspective is that there is nothing in that information you don’t already
know or haven’t already learned. It is the most dangerous thing you can say to
yourself.

Always keep yourself open to all insights and new distinctions. I guarantee if you
start reading this over again from the beginning, you will have a lot of new and
profound distinctions and insights that you completely missed the first time
because your mind is in a different place and you are a different person.

Remember, it is a process. It is about progress not perfection. It is impossible to


read this or any other book once and get everything from it because just from
reading it you grow and your mind expands. Your awareness expands, and your
perspectives change.

And remember the law of duality? Well, the same goes if you stop growing in a
direction that serves you. I learned from my little experiment that when I got back
on track, I had to re-fuel my mind and body and re-learn what I had already
successfully done in the past!

My awareness was on peanut M&M’s, and cherry coke. My focus was on lazily
getting out of bed and not moving or exercising immediately. My focus was eating

everything in sight at whatever times I wanted, not on eating healthy food on a
balanced schedule.

I had to develop back into that person and re-create those habits that serve me.
And guess what, it was a progression. The day I decided to re-shape my health I
did not go out and run 4 miles at a nice brisk pace! I couldn’t. I did not hit the
weights with the same amount of weight I used before I let it go. I couldn’t.

I had to work back up to those levels of success, even though I had them before.

So either way you look at it, from any angle or perspective, in order for you to
have outstanding results in your life, you must continue to feed your body, mind,
spirit, relationships, finances, or whatever area of your life you want to take to the
next level with the fuel that will get you there.

They all affect each other and the more you excel at one area the easier it is to
excel at other areas of your life.

Some examples of that fuel are high energy food, vitamins and minerals, personal
growth and development material, inspiring, uplifting and motivating stories, and
spending time with outstanding high energy people.

It’s everything and anything that encourages you and empowers you to move up a
notch in your own life.

Once I had that major turning point that caused me to really shift my life, I started
learning and growing and kept looking for more answers until I finally realized
that life is not supposed to be figured out. For every answer I found there were ten
more questions attached to it! It is in seeking the answer that you find the next
question and that is truly what you are looking for - the next question.

Life is about experiencing it, not figuring it out. When you continue to learn and
grow and expand your awareness, you start to live a life of pure fascination.
Everything becomes incredible from a spider web to a piece of sand. You look at
things differently and most importantly, you look at yourself with that same
fascination and appreciation.

You get a child like curiosity about everything you encounter! Your heart is filled
with gratitude and love for life. It does not matter where you are in your life right
now because the more you feed yourself this kind of fuel; the more you expand
and become aware of the possibility out there for you. It is an amazing way to live.

That is why I am such a huge advocate of continuing to learn and grow. It saved

my life, literally. And every time I thought I could go forever without refueling the
tank… I would run out of gas and be left stranded! My fascination for life became
weak and I entered into a low energy state where I lived my life in a state of fear
and anger.

This principle has been very important in my life and almost every successful
person I know.

Always seek new ways to grow and develop and learn to expand your awareness
and open up new possibilities to you.

Make sure to remember the distinction that you are never the same person twice.
You can read the same book three times and feel like you have read three different
books.

Something else to think about is whenever you are ready for something new to
expand your awareness, it will always present itself to you. It is amazing how it
works, but it always does for everyone I have ever talked with.

The very thing they need to hear kind of falls in their lap when they are ready to
hear it. I am sure it has happened in your life but I am not sure if you were aware
of it.

Just continue doing what you are doing now and right when you need it, an entire
new set of tools will present itself to you. Don’t ever stop growing because you
see up ahead a 4,000 foot cliff and a 500 foot canyon! Keep moving down your
path and know that everything you need to get across that canyon is there. You
just have to find it and put it together.

Take a look at this illustration and notice how all of the input from all the areas in
your life all feed back to you and affect your output energy.

All information you allow into your life directly affects your output of energy.
Choose to only allow things into your life that serve you.

The more you excel at one area of your life the easier it is to excel at others
because you are raising your over-all energy that you are broadcasting.

Focus on your strengths and less strong areas of your life will improve along with
them.

You're bombarded with input signals all day every day. You determine what
information you let influence you and let into your experience. From the people
you spend time with to the radio and TV, you are getting messages.

You have four separate areas of your life that need to be evaluated independently,
your Body, Finances, Relationships, and Spirituality.

These are all independent and you have different desires for each area. The sum of
all of the input, including from yourself, is what you will put back into the
universes and attract more of in your life.

So be very, very, selective about who you spend your time with, either in person
or in books and audio, and what you spend your time doing. It ultimately
determines the reality you experience.

If one area is weak it affects all other areas. Example: If the financial area is weak
it affects, relationships, spiritual, and physical. Also, the stronger you are in all
areas of your life the more you will affect the weak areas. Focus on your strengths
and become even stronger! That is how you strengthen your weakness.

Continue to learn, develop, expand your awareness, and grow! Remember it is the
journey that is the reward, not the destination. It is the experience that you take
with you. Your experience is the only thing you can share with others and that is
what we are going to talk about in the last principle of this course.

A hidden bonus you get from sharing with others everything you learn is that you
get better, stronger, wiser and more knowledgeable about what you are teaching in
the process. It is the secret to always getting the most out of everything you learn
and maintaining the results forever.

Everything You Experience…

Imagine you are an Olympic runner proudly carrying the Olympic torch.
You are running with the torch and the wind is blowing through your hair. You are
headed to your destination to pass it off and round the last corner before you reach
your destination. But there is no one there waiting for you! No one to share your
glory and pride that you just carried the Olympic torch!

There is nobody to continue the journey and share it with the next person. Nobody
to have the experience. So the torch’s flame burns out and the saga ends! That
would suck!

What good is having a wonderful experience if you cannot share it with someone
else and give back some of the joy you were able to receive? What good is
knowledge without someone to teach it to?

You have inside of you a gold mine that no other person has access to unless you
give them access. You have a bundle of experiences and perspectives that no other
person has. Your perspectives of those experiences are priceless one-of-a-kind
little nuggets!

You never know how what you say or share with someone might affect their lives.
In fact the reason I am married and have my wonderful family is because of this
principle.

As a kid growing up, all I ever heard was how irresponsible I was and how big of
a loser I was and that I would never amount to shit! So being part of the herd, I
started to believe I was not good enough to do, be or have anything good or
special.

That is why I got so low that I was willing to take my own life, (thank God I was
not successful) because I felt there was more to life than I was experiencing but I
was constantly told it was not for me to have.

Until one day the course of my life changed with astounding force. I was at the
hospital at my nephew’s birth. I was in the room with my family and holding my
little nephew. I mentioned how I would be excited to have grandkids.

Oh boy did I ever open up a can of worms. I just made myself the target for
everyone to tell me how much of a loser I was and that I could not even take care
of myself, how am I going to get through kids and make it to grandkids. And the
heckling started and the jokes were flying and laughter was roaring. Well of
course I hung my head in shame and let it go again.

Then a miracle happened for me. My brother-in-law Mike, piped up and said, “I
can see you getting hitched and popping a couple of kids out”.

WHAT? I about fell out of my chair. Oh my God someone believed in me! That
changed my life for EVER. I was married a year later and have been happily
married since then. My beautiful wife is my best friend and I am hers and I have
two amazing daughters.

One simple little comment changed the course of history. That is how powerful
this principle is. Don’t ever think you are not making a difference in people’s lives
because you are, even if you are trying not to.

Mike passed the torch to me. Someone believed in him once, and he passed it to
me. He learned it is more powerful and serving to give people encouragement than
to break them down, and he shared it with me.

I recently asked him about this and he has no idea or recollection what I am
talking about. He doesn’t remember a thing about it. It was insignificant to him but
it was the most powerful thing that happened to me that entire year and it altered
the course of my life.

The reason I designed and wrote this course is because of this principle. It was
something other people said or shared with me that motivated me to do this.

What good is having a belief in someone if you don’t share it with them? How
much power is your belief in yourself going to have if you don’t share it with
everyone around you?

I think it is your responsibility to share with others everything you know, learn,
experience and have experienced. Nobody else on this planet shares the exact
same perspectives as you.

I am not saying you need to become some public figure and get all over the TV
and radio, unless you want to; but just like Mike did for me, pass the torch to
someone else in your life.

In an environment where everyone else was going a different way Mike decided to
have the courage to follow his heart and share his knowledge with me even though
it put him at risk of being the “outcast”. In doing that he expanded everyone’s
awareness a little, especially mine. It will take all of us to expand the awareness of
everyone across the world.

I am sure someone has passed the torch to you before in your life. Maybe someone
encouraged you at the exact moment you were ready to throw in the towel. Maybe
someone believed in you when you could not believe in yourself. It could have
been someone who taught you how to look at life a little differently during a
challenge in your life.

Whatever it may have been, they shared with you something they learned from
someone in their life. Chances are, just like Mike, they don’t even realize how
much they affected you and your choices.

You have also been that person to someone else. I can almost guarantee that you
have had an affect on someone in the same powerful way. Chances are you’re not
even aware of it. That is the beauty of this principle. You are just doing what you
love because it makes you feel good and in doing that you are passing the torch,
teaching others everything you learned in your life and your experiences.

So why do you care if the world has an expanded awareness? Think of the world
you would live in, your kids would live in, the people you love would live in if
everyone knew what was possible for them. Think of how much more possibility
would be out there for you. It is mind boggling to imagine what mankind could do
with even a 1/10 increase in the collective awareness of humankind.

Remember the powerful affect your thoughts, words and ideas have on water and
that the average human is over 70% water. And our world is covered with water.

That is just one discovery of what is going on behind the scenes and there will be
more to display the evidence of how powerful you are. Imagine if everyone were
aware of the power they possess. If every person strived to reach their highest
potential, imagine how your life would be affected. Your life would be that much
more amazing every single day!

watch it as soon as you get a chance. Think of this principle as you watch that

You know the power you have now. You are more aware of what is possible for
you. This book, the exercises in it, and the principles you learned are not going to
be some magical snake oil and now your life is problem-free and perfect unless
you use the principles you learned to create that perspective.

That is up to you to decide, remember? You have the power of perception. You
have control of what meanings you attach to life.

The difference is now you are more aware and awareness creates possibility. What
you do with that possibility is up to you. There is not a personal development
course or self-help book or personal growth seminar out there that does it for you!
It does not exist, it can’t.

Remember the analogy of the weights? That would be like someone telling you
they will lift your weights for you at the gym or run your 3 miles a day and you
can have the results.

I can hand you a weight but if you want a stronger bicep, you have to lift it.

As I have told you, I can only light the path you have to walk down it. I can only
hand you a tool, you have to use it if you want to build something. I can only offer
you these principles but you have to apply them to your life if you want to build a
new and better you!

Now here is the very best aspect of this particular principle. This principle is also
the secret to maintaining any result you want. When you reach a level of success
in any area of your life, have you noticed that sometimes you lose it?

Look at it like this. If you are the one showing everyone else where the gym is and
showing them how to use the machines and how to lift the weights correctly, what
do you think happens to you? You grow from doing that and continue to maintain
your results!

It is the most awesome thing ever. You have heard the only way to keep
something is to give it away or keep the flow of it going, right? Well there is a
perfect example of what that means. Pass the torch and you get to keep the flame!
It is amazingly simple but it is so clear it really needs no explanation.

instant. So use this everyday. Raise your energy levels however you need to. Skip
instead of walk. Change your body language. Practice new breathing techniques.
