What current realities provided you a “push” to conduct this research? Do you provide an
engaging introduction to your paper? Do you cite relevant literature to support your
introduction/argument? Do you locate your argument in the literature?
II. Rationale 5
What is the problem? How it has been addressed in the literature? What is the gap in the
literature? How does your study contribute to this literature? What makes your study important
or unique? How will your study benefit humankind?
III. Statement of the Problem 5
What is the purpose of the study? What are your research questions?
IV. Theoretical Framework 5
What is your major theory used in the study?
How is this theory connected to your study? Is a conceptual framework applicable to your
study? How is this connected to your research?
V. Review of Related Literature 5
Do you have a comprehensive review of the literature?
Do you cite up-to-date and mostly primary literature as your source?
VI. Methodology and Methods 10
Do you describe your methodology? Do you situate your methodology in relevant literature?
What is the context of the study? Do you describe the setting of your study? Who are the
