Goals & Objectives
1. To educate female identifying persons on various health topics such as body
image, nutrition, relationships and sexual health.
a. Develop and implement three workshops for women in the Living and Learning Community
going over body positivity topics.
b. Meet with women in the High Achievers after-school program once a month for four months
discussing health topics.
c. Record “Lady Bits” podcast every Tuesday.
2. To assist Victim Services Coordinator, Women’s Center Director, and Women’s
Center Program Coordinator by creating, facilitating, and completing various
activities and tasks on a daily basis.
a. Develop a proposal to be presented at the Women’s Leadership Conference on March 1st.
b. Complete the Victims Advocate Training (VAT) in order to be of assistance in confidential
matters.
The Women’s Center’s Mission
The Women’s Center at Georgia College strives to create a dynamic campus
community that challenges gender-based oppression through education, support,
and community-building. Utilizing a feminist and intersectional lens, the Women’s
Center works to achieve their mission through:

● Creating programming promoting healthy sexuality and relationships;


● Providing opportunities for leadership development and personal
empowerment;
● Collaborating across campus and community for social change;
● Driving power-based interpersonal violence prevention efforts at GC;
● Supporting members of our campus community in times of crisis.

○ Went over presentation outline and asked what she wanted included/taken out
● Why we chose the topics/population we chose
○ Body positivity is a very relevant topic for college women because it is something almost
everyone has struggled with
● Goals/objectives of the workshop
○ We wanted to open up a space for these women to learn about and discuss issues relating to
body image
○ Our main goal was to leave these women with stronger feelings of body positivity and overall
confidence

High Achievers After School Programs
High Achievers
★ The mission of the High Achievers Program exists to prepare future leaders. Its vision is that every young person has

the potential to become a community leader. By participating in high-quality educational programming, as well as

project-based and apprenticeship enrichment activities, participants are encouraged to become effective and

participatory future leaders.

★ Early College female students

★ Male students participated in other meetings on campus

★ During the academic year, funding supports students from grades nine through twelve, with weekly leadership

enrichment programming 4 to 5 days per week

- Loved the worksheets I felt like the powerpoint taught then we had time to start to develop the skill
- Loved it! More hands-on brand-building workshop activities would be fun
- Something I wish all students could experience! Well researched and organized. Great job!
- It would have been nice if was a bit more interactive/ showed examples of branding on social media

● Idea pitched in meeting → Rylee (social media) would either pitch me the idea
to create graphic for/I would assist her in graphic making!
