Religion is the most important in our life. This is the activity of how can we communicate

to God or Worship. We can learn many aspects in our life. In Del Pilar Academy , this is non-

teach that to make the students learn aspects, and it can lessen the students who have not a

teacher should have a strategy to educate, to instruct every students but all Grade 9 to Grade 12

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

Foreign Study

According to Michael J. Sherican (2013) This article presents findings from a study

that examined the attitudes and behaviors toward religion and spirituality held by 328 randomly

selected Virginia licensed clinical social workers, psychologists, and professional counselors.

Significant differences were found among the three groups, with social workers generally

holding a middle position in comparison with psychologists and professional counselors. As a

whole, respondents were found to value the religious or spiritual dimension in their own lives, to

respect the function it serves for people in general, and to address, to some extent, religious and

spiritual issues in practice. Limited professional training in this area was reported, however, with

79% (n = 259) of the respondents stating that religious or spiritual issues were rarely or never

addressed during the course of their graduate education and training. Implications for social work

education and practice are discussed.

But, According to Karen Yow Yip Cheng (2015) The focus of this paper is religion and

education with particular reference to EFL (English as a Foreign Language) textbooks. The

writers of this paper aim to raise the awareness of research community, educators, and teachers

regarding the interconnectedness of religion and education. In the first phase of the study, the

researchers scanned a series of secondary-level Iranian EFL textbooks prescribed by the Iranian

Ministry of Education to determine religious concepts in the form of linear and/or non linear

content. The next phase of research was the analysis of the content to determine the level of
inclusiveness of the textbooks in terms of culture and religion. These textbooks were also

analyzed to determine whether the propagation of religious content was overt or covert. Finally

the impact of religious content in textbooks was discussed with reference to identity and nation

building.

Local Study

According to Maley Jimenez (2007) Aside from revenue mobilization; one of the arguments

for allowing the private sector to assume a larger role in the provision of education is that it

would increase efficiency, as administration become more responsive to the needs of the students

and praents. But what is the evidence? Based on case studies that compare to public and provate

schools in secondary education in Colombia, the Domican Republic, the Philippines, Tanzania,

and Thailand, private schools students generally outperform public students on standardized

religion, math, and language test. This finding holds even after holding constant for the fact that

on average, private schools students in these countries come from more advantaged backgrounds

than their public, school counterparts. In addition, preliminary evidence shows that the unit cost

of private schools are lower than those publicschools. Although these results cannot, in

themselves, be used as arguments for massive privatization, thay indicate that governments

should reconsider policies that restrain private sector participation in education. Further research

is needed to determine whether some teaching and administrative practices in private schools are

applicable to public schools.

CHAPTER 3

METHODOLOGY

3.1 Research Method Design.

The researcher used the Descriptive Research Design because they conduct a

survey about the Effectiveness of Religion Subject in the students in Grade 9 to Grade 12 of

Del Pilar Academy. The researcher used a survey to gather information, collect brief

interview or the respondents briefly discuss about the topic that researcher has.

3.2 Subjects of the Study

The researcher used the subject Del Pilar Academy student who are in Grade 9 to

Grade 12 for their research.

3.3 Research Instrument Used

The researcher used a survey for the research instrument method for their research.

3.4 Sampling Technique Use

The researcher used the Quota Sampling Technique because of this is not probability of

stratified like sampling.

3.5 Procedure of Data Gathering

The researcher used the Questionaire Method because they conduct a research about

this study and they gave the questionaires randomly to the respondents who are in Grade 9 to

Grade 10.
