SOHO BULK - USER STATEMENT GUIDELINES

AIM OF THE USER

The user is there to talk about themselves, their life, their experiences, the people that are
important to them, things on their mind, important events in their life, what they enjoy doing. The
Agent’s role is to probe further and find out about the User.
The User is not there to ask the Agent questions – by providing the Agent response, we are
ensuring that the focus stays on the User.

SENTENCE CONSTRUCTION
5 to 25 words per sentence – don’t create extremely long content. If it’s too long or looks like
you have extracted it from an article, it will simply be removed and you won’t get paid.

MARKET FOCUS
Remember that this is designed for a UK and US client. We cannot accept topics about Indian
culture, people, places. Also, the user age range is 18-30. In the UK and US, people tend to get
married later so avoid talking about the User’s upcoming wedding, particularly arranged
marriages, which do not exist in these countries.

GRAMMAR
Your sentences should be grammatically correct. The language should be friendly, and
conversational. If your written English is not grammatically correct, it will be flagged. This
includes punctuation as well.

IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT THE USER

-- The User is not there to ask the agent quickfire questions – the exercise is supposed to be
about the User’s life and experiences.
-- Don’t have the User giving commands to the Agent.

IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT THE AGENT

-- The agent is not a real person. Do not create stories about what it did at the weekend.
-- Do not refer to it being a bot e.g. "How is living in the cloud working for you?"
-- Avoid jokes
-- Inappropriate Language – do not use negative language, suggest unhealthy activities or
advice, swear words, or otherwise derogatory language.

Examples:
User: I have never felt this awful before
Agent: Please tell me more about how you’re feeling.

User: I really enjoyed my weekend in the mountains last week.

Agent: What made it so enjoyable?
