Intro Paper

I woke up this morning and immediately grabbed my phone from the table beside

my bed. I had multiple notifications from the night to this morning. The first notification I

saw was from the weather app that was automatically added to my phone. It informed

me that it was going to be a cold and cloudy day. The following notification was a text

message from one of my friends who I drive in with to the college. She was telling me

that I couldn’t ride with her the next day because she had an early class. She informed

me that she had an assignment due in that class and she had not completed it. I read a

couple of the emails I received earlier that morning. One of the emails was from Bath

and Body Works with an ad trying to persuade me to shop their current sale.

Leaving home, I went to the post office to check the mail. Once you walk into the

building, there are tons of flyers on the bulletin board. A flyer for a food sale and

puppies for sale were the first ones I saw. I definitely felt like they were trying to

persuade me to visit the locations due to the prices of the food and the images of the

puppies. Getting back into my vehicle, I turned on the radio and heard the broadcaster

talking about applying to a college and how easy it is to apply at any age. When I got

home, I grabbed my phone and looked through my Twitter feed. I saw an article about

how Netflix is raising their prices per month on their subscriptions. After reading

through that, I saw an article on different peoples theories on the new Spider-man

movie coming out this summer. Reading everyone's responses were interesting and it

made me think of some of my own theories.

Once I went through social media, I turned on the tv and the news was on.

Reporters were informing us about a story of a kidnapped girl who finally escaped after

88 days. I think that the story needed to be seen in order to warn anyone what to do if

they come across this situation. After a couple stories, they were discussing a statement

from YouTube about how they are getting rid of the Bird Box challenge because of how

dangerous they are.

After watching the television for a while, it was time to head to bed. As usual, I

am always on my phone browsing social media when I saw this video of all these elk

running across a road in Washington. As I was reading the article, it discussed how

organizations and businesses are trying to build a way for wildlife to cross busy

highways.

I felt most persuaded by the food sale posters because they had images of the

food they were selling and the colors were extremely vibrant. Both posters I saw were

very interesting and made me curious. The email from Bath and Body Works was also

worthy of being mentioned. Of course the prices of all the products were in bright, big

letters which is automatically an eye catcher.
