Read carefully all safety aspects listed in this manual prior any intervention on the appliance.
The manufacturer declines all responsibilities if equipment has not been installed by skilled technician and in
a proper way according to local safety regulation and as it is described herein.
TSI rack is not supplied with internal disconnecting devises and it is dual input power supply.
Refer to chapter 3 for safe installation and access to the system.
TSI rack can reach hazardous leakage currents if grounding is not made according to safety
recommendations.
Caution:
For your easiness, the following picto will appear to highlight safety
advices
Please check that operating manual version you are reading is corresponding to TSI version running in your
installation.
On T2S
On the cabinet: the Identification plate is generally located on the top front of the cubicle.
The corresponding Customer labels (If any) are stickled close to Labels.
Customer references are:
---------------------------- for Inverter 2500 VA (TSI Bravo)
---------------------------- for Supervision unit (T2S Monitor)
---------------------------- for Shelf including TSI Bravo

The PART NUMBER, SERIAL NUMBER and BURN IN DATE are essential information
when you contact CE+T to get help in commissioning or in troubles or when item is
sent back for repair.
Since inverter modules are forced cooling good air circulation has to be guaranteed.
TSI racks can be stacked with other equipments provided that airflow is kept free.
CAUTION:
Due to constant power load behavior, overload capabilities should be sometimes de-rated.
Power
2000W
With linear or non linear loads the inverters are able to work at nominal power with phase shift
Voltage / Current between 90° leading and 90° laggi ng with power capacity as described here above.
CAUTION:
Due to constant power load behavior, overload capabilities should be sometimes de-rated.
Caution:
Installation and commissioning must be done and conducted by trained
people fully authorized to act on installation.
AC input terminal and AC output terminal will be modified in relation with the order or with
customer specifications.
Net Weight about: 150 kg, and with wood box about 210 kg
Standard size:
Sizes: max 1130 mm high x 603 x 600 mm
On request equipment can be installed in bigger cabinet.

By default the inverter number one is
Caution:
The TSI Rack does not include any protecting and/or disconnecting devices
neither on DC input or on AC input.
THESE WOULD BE INSTALLED OUTSIDE THE SHELF.
Before any intervention on the TSI Rack, operator has to make sure that
power is removed from both DC leads and AC input mains.
All breakers, cables and wires must be CE and classified for min 90°C
(194°F) operation
All DC cables and alarm cables as well must be kept minimum 10mm away
AC cables
Some safety labels are stuck on the TSI cabinet. They must not be removed.
Respect Line and Neutral connection.
The insulation cover of conductors must match the local and international standards and the cross section must
be related to the upstream protections.
In common feed the cabinet is supplied with one DC breakers for each inverter. (Option with Individual)
The DC IN (-) cables have to be connected on the X1 terminal by starting from the left side to the right side.
(view face to the front to the cabinet)
The insulation cover of connecting cables must meet the local and international standards and the cross section
related to the upstream protections.
The cross section and breaker must be in accordance with the following parameters:
-inverter redundancy on the system
-overload capacity setting (I max = 150% for max 15 sec)
-battery length cables not too long to avoid too much voltage droop.

The cross section and breaker must be in accordance with the following parameters:

-overload capacity setting (I max = 150% for max 15 sec)
AC input connection only exists whenever TSI system has been foreseen

Caution:
Current leakages can reach hazardous values.
For your personal SAFETY, earth connections must be done before energizing
the system.
Earth cable cross section must be sized according to the local rules. If positive or negative was
grounded in the building and the DC power is common feeding cable size will adapted in consequence.

NB: relays are energized while idle (i.e. relays de-energized when event occur).
MAJOR, MINOR and selectable relay provides an open or close free potential contact
Relay characteristics:
Maximum switching capacity: 2A @ 30VDC or 1A @ 60VDC
Maximum switching power: 60W
Maximum voltage: 60VDC SELV
Maximum switching current: 2A
b) Incoming monitoring:
Two external input contacts can be monitored through the T2S. One is used to monitor the maintenance by-
pass position, and other keep usually free. To use this input, you will connect the free switch on terminal X5
pine 1-2. See 3.4.2.
c) Remote ON/OFF
The voltage present on terminal X6 pine 1 and 3 is +5V (galvanically insulated). Care should be taken to avoid
connecting any external voltage on terminal 1 to 3. Maximum wire size is 1 mm²
The 3 wires must be used for the redundancy on the remote ON/OFF. Use NO/NC relay contact.
NB: Changing status of these inputs (State #3 State #2 State #3) forces the
TSI modules to start running without T2S
This CANDIS allows information on display(s) and by TCPIP interface. Following the requirement the CANDIS
should be provided with one, two or three displays. The last slot is use to include the TCPIP interface.
The variables available on CANDIS are voltages, currents, frequency, inverter configured.
When System is 3PHASE, 3 displays are supplied (1 per phase)
Refer to the specific operating manual for details.
Recommendation
Caution:
For safety reasons, any slot without module must be filled with a blank housing.
SAFE SOLUTION
UNSAFE SOLUTION
Caution:
Installation and commissioning must be done and conducted by trained
people fully authorized to act on installation.
Care must be taken to prevent dust, which can damage electronic components, by reducing the
ESD distances. If necessary, remove dust by using industrial tools such as industrial vacuum
cleaner.
DO NOT use any cleaning equipment using any liquid or insert metallic tools inside the
equipment.
The scope of this document is to provide a general guide for the contractor person that install and
start up one TSI inverter System. Please refer to the operation manual for more details. Specific
Manuals for inverters, T2S monitor, Display and TCP/IP are available on request.
Contractor :
Bear in mind that the BY_PASS switch disconnect all AC voltage on the shelves
but has no action on the DC feeding on inverter and on remote alarm terminal.
Procedure:
To place the Maintenance By-Pass to ON position (load fed by AC Mains without crossing
inverter)
1) Close S1
2) Open S2
3) Open S3
4) Switch OFF DC power on each inverter (using DC breakers of any)
To place the Maintenance By-Pass to OFF position (load fed through inverter)
-Inverter doesn’t start: Check if T2S or T1S is present and properly plugged on right slot
Check if Remote ON/OFF is not engaged
Check if Maintenance By-Pass is really not engaged
Check the configuration and setting
Check threshold level (AC and DC)
Refer T2S operating manual for additional troubleshooting
