YP4SC Online Administrators Manual

Requirements :

The YP4SC Online assessment system has the following requirements:

Hardware Software
YP4SC Server - Pentium 4 /3.0 Ghz - Windows 2000 Server/2003
(Intranet) - minimum 1GB RAM - Windows 2000 Professional
- 80GB/120 GB HDD
- 10/100 Mbps LAN Card
Workstation - Pentium 4 - Windows 2000 Professional
(PC-Based) - 256 MB RAM - Windows XP
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0/7.0
- Adobe Flash Player
- Internet Explorer 6.0/7.0
- Office 2000/

Secure the following items from TESDA YP4SC Secretariat:

 YP4SC Online CD Installer

 YP4SC Site ID and YP4SC Site Key
 ASPPDF License Key

Installation Note:

1 Before installation, ensure that the Administrator user account is currently logon,
otherwise software required by YP4SC System will not be installed properly.
2 Disable any restriction or software firewall before installation
Kaspersky anti-virus must be disabled
3 Port number: 8081 must be free of use.
4 MS OFFICE 2000 or ACCESS 2000 are installed.
5 Must have LAN Card and have static IP address even it is stand-alone.
Ex. IP address : 192.168.0.5
6 ASPPDF software trial license key must be installed.

Installation mode

Stand-alone - YP4SC system is installed on each PC - Database must be

Installation Procedure

1. Install the yp4scsystem_installer_v1.0.exe to Drive C:\.

A directory structure will be created as illustrated below.

Note: You must install the application system files on Drive C. It will not work if installed on
another drive. Also, do not rename any folder or files in it.

2. Once folder is in place, run ASPPDF.EXE file by double clicking the icon from
INSTALLERFILES folder.

AspPDF Setup will begin. Read and follow the setup procedure. Supply the AspPDF License
Key when promt.

3. Next is to setup a Virtual Drive. To install, double click or run
SetupVirtualCloneDrive5202.exe from INSTALLERFILES folder.

VirtualCloneDrive Setup will pop up. Read and follow the setup procedure. You must restart you
computer before the new setting to take effect. Once successful, you will notice that a Virtual
Clone Drive F: is added.

4. Mount YP4SCOnlineServer_1.0.iso to virtual drive so that program will be linked permanently

to virtual drive. You have to do this only once.

To do this, right click Virtual Drive then choose Virtual CloneDrive from the list then click on
Mount option.

To mount YP4SC Program (YP4SCOnlineServer_1.0.iso) permanently , open Virtual Clone
Drive application from Program Files or from Desktop. Check “AUTOMOUNT LAST IMAGE” and
click “OK” button.

4. Once the Virtual CD Drive is in place and the YP4SCOnlineServer_XXX..iso is mounted ,

System Installation page will automatically be loaded.

Browser will open : http://127.0.0.1:8081

Note: Ensure YP4SCOnlineServer_XXX..iso is mounted on a Virtual Drive. In this case it is

mounted on Drive F: By default , once mounted built-in webserver is started, If will no start, try
to double click DRIVE F: or Double-click YP4SCOnlineServer_XXX..iso from installation
folder (C:\yp4scsytem)

Otherwise, go to DRIVE F: (Virtual CDROOT Drive) and run dwebpro by double clicking the
icon.

5. From System Installation Page, type YP4SC Site ID and YP4SC Site Key on the space
provided then click on Install Now button to start installation. Once the system is successfully
installed, YP2SC Login Page will be opened.

6. Type Username and Password on the space provided then click on Login button. Use admin
as username and password as instructed on the page. YP4SC Main Page will be displayed.

Setting YP4SC Profile

To open admin module, open browser and type any of following address .

http://127.0.0.1:8081/admin or http://localhost:8081/admin

Before you can use the YP4SC Portal, you must first set or edit the Site Profile. To edit profile,
click on the Site Profile edit link. Site Profile page will be opened. Type changes then click on
Save/Update button.

SYNC Site ID (Upload Site Profile data)

After setting the site profile, you have to synchronize and send site profile to the main server. To
do this, click on SYNC Site ID button from YP4SC Main Page. Site Status page will pop up. Site
Status page displays the site profile that are transmitted to the main server. These data will be
accepted at the main server but still subject to authorization. Only authorized site will be allowed
to upload data of the examinees.

UPLOADING DATA

Note: Only registered site key/PC name can upload. Each PC must be registered to the
central uploading system. If you cannot upload data, please contact YP4SC secretariat to
register your site key and corresponding PC name.

To upload data of the examinees, follow the steps below:

1. Click Upload Data from the main page. List of examinees will be displayed.

2. Click checkbox before the name of the examinee you want to upload.

3. Click on Process Selected tab to process selected names of examinees and enable the
Upload Data button.

4. Click on Upload Data button. Update Status window will be pop up. Click button on the window
to continue uploading data to server. If your site is not authorized, a message will be displayed
informing you that you are not authorize to submit data.

DATABASE BACKUP

You only need to backup YP4SCONLINE.MDB located in C:\yp4scsystem\yp4scdata\

folder.

UPGRADING THE YP4SC SYSTEM

1. Copy latest version of YP4SCOnlineServer_XXX .EXE to C:\yp4scsystem
2. Unmount old version and re-mount new YP4SCOnlineServer_XXX .EXE
3. To ensure you’re using the latest version, delete old version copy of YP4SC
