Why Do We Seek Admission of Our Children in Cadet/Military/PAF Colleges?

Introduction:

Next generation is the future of our country. We have also dreams for a
prosperous and comfortable professional life of our children. So selection of an
excellent and outstanding educational institution is very important.

Role of Cadet Colleges:-

 Initially cadet colleges were started to serve as feeder institutions to the

military academies. Their major objectives like academic excellence, intellectual
advancement, moral up gradation and physical development of the students
make them the lighthouses for the development of the new generation. The
training is oriented toward preparing the students for all fields of life including the
armed forces. However, students of cadet colleges (except military colleges and
PAF colleges), are free to pursue any field of study and take up any career after
they leave the cadet colleges.

 Cadet colleges provide best possible all-round education and training to the
students for comprehensive development of their personalities.

 Cadet colleges aim to provide high quality education to talented students and
bring them up in an environment conductive to inculcate in them sterling qualities
of character and leadership.

 Cadet colleges, PAF colleges and military colleges feed PAF and military
academies with spirited young men, who form the backbone of forces at various
tiers of command and leadership.

 Cadet colleges impart quality education in a healthy environment that helps to

produce confident, disciplined and courageous young men possessing strong
character and qualities of command and leadership.

 These institutions mould and develop an all-round moral and intellectual

personality of the young students. Their efforts are specially aimed at imbibing in
the students a spirit of service to the nation, as motivated, loyal and fine young
gentlemen.

 For the physical fitness the students are provided with various facilities of
outdoor and indoor games. Afternoon games, regular drill and physical training
are compulsory in cadet colleges.
 Cadet colleges have well-qualified, experienced and dedicated teaching staff.
The final results of different boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education
show their excellent performance, as most of their students get A+ or A grade in
their final examinations.

 Cadet colleges train cadets in shouldering responsibilities and exercises of

authority by their appointments.

 Cadet colleges hold competition in various games, athletics, drill, swimming,

qiraat, debates, current affairs, cleanliness as well as in academics and
encourage the winners with shields and trophies.

 Cadet colleges offer the students a wide variety of extra-curricular activities

and the cadets can participate in one or more of them according to their
individual interest and inclination, such as aero-modelling, electronics clubs,
calligraphy club, modelling club, photography club, mountaineering club, squash
club and computer club. The participation of students in these clubs provide
potential, creativity and curiosity among the students.

 Cadet colleges/PAF and military colleges transform young students into

courageous, dynamic and erudite young men of integrity. They provide unique
opportunities to learn valuable skills, to meet students of different backgrounds
and areas, belonging to different cultures. It promotes unity and brotherhood
among the students. Their education and training aim to inculcate moral values,
mental and physical endurance, a spirit of adventure and will to win, promoting
leadership qualities in their students. These colleges are candles of leadership.

 Cadet colleges build up the characters of our future-generation which means

highest sense of honour, integrity, selfless service to the nation and sense of
responsibility. These institutes prepare their students to compete with the world
which is moving very fast.

 Cadet colleges provide medical facilities through their hospitals round the
clock. To guard against epidemics, vaccination and inoculation are carried out
periodically. Cadets are weighed, measured and medically checked up and a
proper health record is maintained.

 Cadet colleges arrange picnics regularly as recreational activities. The

students are taken to various recreational spots throughout the country by their
monthly or annual trips. The educational visits are a part of training schedule at
most of the cadet colleges.

 Most of the cadet colleges publish their magazines annually or monthly. These
magazines contain articles and essays written by the students. This empowers
the students, creativity and vision.

and their society.

 The present world is highly competitive where the rule of survival of the fittest

The need of time,

Government has opened a number of institutions, colleges and universities in
the past decades, but the number of cadet colleges is not increased. It is the
need of the hour to establish new cadet colleges on government level. Because
