BABY DEDICATION CEREMONY

WELCOME GREETINGS AND ORIENTATION

Today we welcome Rai and Leah, and their
daughter Railey for her Dedication to the Lord
and the Celebration of her First Birthday.

We also welcome the grandparents who are

with us today for he dedication serivice. And of
course everyone else who have come to join us
despite their busy schedule. It only shows how
important each one supports Rai and Leah and
their daughter in this memorable and blessed
event of their lives.

Napoleon once said, “Let France have good

mothers and she will have good sons.”

The famous preacher, Charles Spurgeon,

had two reasons why he was what he was:
1. The truth he preached
2. His mother

Joshua, God’s general said, “As for me and

my house, we will serve the Lord.”
 Solomon, teacher and instructor of wisdom,
alluded to the fact that a wise father will lead his
house spiritually.

Today Rai and Leah, together with us, have

come to give thanks for Railey. We will be
dedicating Railey to the Lord, praying that she
would come to know and serve him. We also
dedicate Rai and Leah to God, asking that the
Lord would give them wisdom, understanding,
knowledge and ability to raise Railey in the way
of the Lord. As a church we dedicate ourselves
to setting a godly example for Railey so that she
might one day come to trust in Jesus as her
Lord and Saviour

ADDRESS CONGREGATION

The family is a divine institution ordained of

God in the beginning of time. Children are a
heritage of God and are committed to their
parents for care, protection and training.

It is important that all parents recognize their

obligation and responsibility to God in this
matter.
 And today, may we all be one in prayer as
we open this celebration. Let us all stand.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this treasured child named

Railey. What a profound blessing this child is to
us! Although you have entrusted this baby to us
as a gift, we know she belongs to you. We
recognize that she is always in your care.

Help Rai and Leah – the parents of Railey,

Lord, with their weaknesses and imperfections.
Rather than worry, help them to remember that
their daughter is secure in your mighty hands.
Your love is perfect, Lord, so we can trust that
your love and concern for their daughter is even
greater than ours. We know that you will protect
Railey all the time.

Give Railey and Leah the strength and godly

wisdom to raise their daughter after your Holy
Word.

Please, supply supernaturally what they

lack. Keep their child walking on the path that
leads to eternal life. Help them to overcome the
temptations of this world and the sin that would
so easily entangle their family.

Dear God, send your Holy Spirit daily to

lead, guide and counsel their daughter. Always
assist her to grow in wisdom and stature, in
grace and knowledge, in kindness, compassion,
and love.

May this child serve you faithfully, with his

whole heart devoted to you all the days of his
life. May she discover the joy of your presence
through a daily relationship with your Son, Jesus
Christ.

Bless her parents to be an example to their

daughter, and to teach and train her in God's
Word. Give them wisdom to discipline their
daughter according to your ways.

And Lord, may we never stop praying for

this gift you've entrusted to us. Lord, let our
commitment to raise this child for the glory of
your name cause her life to forever testify your
faithfulness.

In the name of Jesus, I pray.
