Student Writing Goal: To obtain an 80% or higher on my overall score and improve on my grammatical errors and
construct a well written essay without the guidance of an outline.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this writing assignment was to go into depth of Macbeth’s downfall. We were to explain how
Macbeth fell from his thrown and who was to blame. I chose to blame him for not having enough self-control
for himself. Taking into consideration all circumstances, I was to go into depth of his rise and downfall.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I did well and reached my goal after a few attempts. I actually put a lot of time into writing this essay and it
took me a while to research words so I could expand my word vocabulary. I took a lot of time writing and
putting words together, especially because I missed a big part of the story.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I did well on writing and putting together sentences and forming paragraphs. I am very proud of how I put
together my paragraphs because everything came out well. I got a very high score and even stuck on the topic
and made everything relevant to my essay.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I haven’t chose to revise my essay because I have no time and I have been really stressed with everything
that has been going on. My essays typically aren’t on my mind always as I have so many other things to do.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
In my next writing assignment I don’t think there is anything I can do better because I reached my goal and
exceeded for the first time.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I reached my goal completely and even exceeded to the 95% which I am very glad about.
